ADA UN-FRIENDLY
Went to see Motley Crue Tribute Band. Called District 142 weeks in advance to assure that balcony has seats. Ten people in our group, three have handicaps (cannot stand for long periods, must sit), wanted to all sit together for show. Doors open at 7 pm, arrived at 6:30 pm and waited in line outside. Get inside at 7, we're told balcony is closed. Those that need handicap seating, it's up front on side of stage. We get to that area, there are EIGHT CHAIRS, our group cannot sit together. There were already two people in the area, and they were as upset as us - we cannot be with our spouses/significant others during show. Security becomes rude with us: "You can't hold seats! If you get up to use bathroom and lose your seat, too bad!" First band goes on at 8 pm. By now there are 500+ people in the venue. We constantly asked them to open the balcony since 7 pm, which they refused to do. I go to bathroom at approximately 8:15. They opened the balcony. Mad rush of people to get up there. LUCKILY, we were able to get ten seats together. Staff running door and security was belittling, rude, and treated handicap like second-class citizens. I called them out about this on their Facebook page, and they blocked me! Absolutely disgusting! Too bad... the place was clean and had good acoustics. First time, last time. Avoid like the plague.
