A decent, well priced place with a good location. Reception was ok but variable based on person. Yuri very good. Room was average and clean. Shower was ok but no kettle despite tea and coffee facilities in reception. Worth a go if you want a cost effective, central hotel.

Top location, staff was very helpful and friendly, also helped me arrange my transfer to the airport. the single room was clean and spacious, actually looked even better in real life than on booking.com. The hotel was also quiet, and the room had air conditioning. Everything you need to see in Sofia is at a walking distance to the hotel, including a panoramic view rooftop bar. The area is safe, I felt very safe coming back to the hotel late at night.

The hotel is suitable if you are looking for a one night only place to stay. I was truly not impressed with the interior, it smelled like dust as if it has not been cleaned for a while. Also, in booking.com it says that there is a parking spot available and this is why I booked the room. It turned out that there was no parking spot secured but rather there is a paid parking just around the corner, where they offer a really small discount for hotel guests. Would definitely not recommend it nor would I stay there again.

Central location, not far away from public transport. Kiosks, bars, restaurants, everything on a walking distance. Rooms are neat, staff at reception is greatly helpful. No restaurant in the hotel, no minibar in the room. Price is reasonable. Recommended.

We spent two nights in the Diter Hotel. There are some very good things about it but some drawbacks as well. ||The location could not be beaten. It is very close to the Vitosha Boulevard and within walking distance of all the sights that a visitor to Sofia might wish to see. It is in a quiet street in a slightly shabby area of flats, small shops, restaurants and bars. There is an excellent restaurant two doors along Han Asparuh Street. Unfortunately the hotel does not offer breakfast although it looks as if it used to have its own restaurant. We went to a nearby cafe for a banitsa each morning. ||We came by car and one of the reasons for choosing the Diter was that it adverised parking. In fact it has an arrangement with a car park round the corner. We emailed the hotel before our visit and were given accurate directions to the car park. It turned out to be a piece of rough ground where the attendants are experts at squeeing as many cars as possible into a small space. Nevertheless it met our requirements.||The hotel looks as if it has seen better days and had an unloved feel. The furnishings inlour room were rather old, there was a tear in the curtain and generally it felt in need or refurbishment. Still, our room was of a good size and the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The lighting was good and there were plenty of electric sockets. The shower was remarkably fancy for the hotel but the screen was somewhat rickety. Nevertheless it did its job and no water escaped to the rest of the bathroom. Wifi signal was strong and passwork protected.||The receptionists spoke excellent English and were pleasant. We found that the safe in our wardrobe was jammed open. We mentioned that it did not work and when we returned it had been repaired. Water and coffee are available free in the reception area of the hotel which was a nice treat.||Would we stay there again on a future visit to Sofia? Perhaps, though not for a long stay.

Very nice and hotel! Staff is wonderful and also let us leave ur bags during the day, ensuring that we don't have to carry them all day before going abroad.

Great little hotel, very friendly staff, they are extremely helpful and very polite! Location is great, walking distance to many of the great sights! The metro station is only a short walk away so if you're travelling further there is easy access that way. The bed is very comfortable, room is a good size, everything works, no issues at all! No coffee/tea facilities in the room, however there is free coffee/tea in the lobby, which is 24hrs, we were on the top floor but it was still very easy and convenient to get a cup of coffee in the morning! Absolutely nothing bad to say at all about this place! I also highly recommend the restaurant next door!

The shower is extremely hot with water pressure that is better than in my own house. The bathroom was extremely clean. Both of our rooms were big. Pretty views on both sides of the building. There is a heater and air conditioner in every room that works well. There is a TV with some local channels to watch. And there is a big desk and good wifi so I was able to take a work call here. Nice helpful people working at the hotel front desk too. Location is perfect. Very good place I would definitely stay here again. You do need to pay a tax when you arrive but it’s normal, I think it was about 1% so very small. This is normal in Europe and it says this when you book that you have to pay the city tax when you arrive so I don’t think the reviews complaining about that are fair. The only change I would make is to get bigger duvets. I’m not sure if the one in my room was a summer duvet but it was thin. However I had the heater to use if I wanted it.
