"Divan Brasserie Beyoğlu for a divine view Every day millions of people walk down Istanbul’s famous Istiklal Street unaware of the nearby terrace restaurants offering magnificent cuisine and divine views of the Bosphorus Strait—among them, Divan Brasserie Beyoğlu. Opened in 2014, the restaurant excels in plating timeless recipes with modern touches. Take a seat here for lunch or dinner and peruse a menu of regional dishes such as the Albanian-style liver and pan-seared lamb served in eggplant puree along with gourmet pizzas, beef burgers, and seafood dishes. Istanbullus (Istanbul residents) will say you haven’t dined in Istanbul until you’ve dined at a rooftop terrace overlooking the city. Do them proud at Divan Brasserie Beyoğlu. To find it, look for Koć University on Istiklal Caddesi and follow the discrete signage and let the glass elevator will take you the rest of the way."

We had a great meal there last evening. It's on the top floor of a building overlooking the Golden Horn and Bosporous. It's a wonderful spot for your first meal in Istanbul. The service is attentive. Don't forget to have cash to tip the staff. They will remind you.

When the Kale Lost Its Groove 🥬✨ Starter, meet Main Had an unexpected experience at one of my favorite brasseries — the location is absolutely stunning, with views of both the Historical Peninsula and the Anatolian side of the Bosphorus. Usually flawless: view, vibe, food, wine. This time… a few things went offbeat. Starter arrived with the main. When I mentioned I’d expected it first, the waitress said, “I didn’t ask for it to be served in front,” and walked away. A curious approach to service. 🤔 Kale’s distant cousin The filet 🦈 promised “sweet and sour vegetables, sautéed kale leaves, and basil aioli.” There were some tiny veggies, yes, chopped and rested on a single soft green leaf — perhaps a distant cousin of kale, but certainly not enough to chew. 🥗 Boxed and ready for takeoff📦 Leftovers arrived in a box so large it could’ve doubled as carry-on luggage, tucked inside an even bigger paper bag. ✈️ QR Code chaos Then came the table promo: a QR code offering 20% off via the Divan Life app. I tried — no luck. The waiter tried — still no luck. When I asked if the discount could still apply, the reply was: “Oh, the app isn’t our responsibility, we can’t give the discount.” Another oblivious little misstep. 😅 Minor details, perhaps, but from a place known for elegance, it felt a little off-key. I left with the view still dazzling, the wine still fine, and the service… still finding its groove. 😉

Amazing restaurant— truly a hidden gem. I came here 3 times during my vacation in Istanbul! The food is delicious and clean, a very refined palate. Order the fried calamari with vegetables, the pizza funghi, and spinach ravioli. To compliment it, the view is unparalleled and I urge you not to miss it! The service is also fantastic thanks to Mr. Fatih. If you come in the evenings, they also have a great DJ 😍💃🏻

This is a rooftop brasserie that offers a stunning terrace with panoramic views over Istanbul. The atmosphere feels luxurious, complemented with nice music and the service is exceptionally attentive. However, those seated at the far right end of the terrace may be disrupted by loud music from a what they call as “yeni nesil meyhane” down there, though this is beyond the brasserie’s control. For the best experience, I recommend making a reservation and requesting one of the two “locas”. Overall, this spot is a top choice for a relaxing night out in the city, combining elegance, comfort, and unmatched views.

Love the food experience here! Firstly, Fatih made everything smooth and great for us and accommodated us for any food requests. He was attentive to us and made our dinner lovely. Secondly, the view is stunning from the rooftop, with the Bosphorus and the rest of the city to view! Thirdly, we had Broccoli soup - just great for the weather (not too creamy or too heavy). Fourthly, we had the veal Schnitzel and grilled chicken. We loved both dishes so much. We asked for a sauce to add to the Schnitzel, and Demi Glace sauce was available. Nevertheless, Fatih knew we do not drink or consume alcohol, so he made sure that a new Demi Glace sauce, without alcohol, was made just for us! What I also love about the menu as well that it clearly states if alcohol is any dish, so we were able to avoid any dishes that did have it. Lastly, we got complimentary Turkish tea and mini biscuits.

We came for the view. The view is really amazing 🤩 I wasn't hungry, so I just had a salad. It was very good 👍 I recommend it if you want to enjoy a nice view of the city of Istanbul.

A chic place with a nice Bosphorus view. We enjoyed our time there, the staff were really nice. We didn’t eat anything but with whiskey we ordered, they brought snacks which was lovely. Also, the music in the background was nice. The only bad thing was maybe the loud Turkish pop music coming from outside, however it has nothing to do with Divan. ☺️
