Just finished my PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Certification with Fabien as my guide, and my wife took a ReActivate course with Dario. These guys were amazing. We both felt comfortable right away and quickly formed a trust bond that lasted throughout the training. Each learning at our own pace, both guides were supportive and encouraging. Shout out to Johnny, Arianna, and Bivianna as well. The entire Dive Ninjas crew were great. Honestly, I was a bit sad to leave them today! I’ll be back! We are so glad we chose Dive Ninjas!

Amazing dive shop. Amazing people. Incredible diving. Johnny was my DM for a couple days and he was rad. So helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, kind, funny. Just a great guy to take you out diving. The marine park has incredible diving. Don’t just do Gordo Banks.

We had a great time on our trip into the Sea of Cortez and will never forget out experience snorkeling with the school of mobula rays. Dive Ninja is a top-notch professional outfit and we are happy went with them.

David my instructor was incredibly patient, reassuring and made the whole experience a blast. The office staff really went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule changes. David and the rest of the crew was phenomenal. I booked The Corridor dive package and had a really pleasant experience, from check-in to returning to the dock. David was willing to help me do a quick refresh of the basics once in the water and was always flexible to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. Had an amazing experience with the team! Our guides Fabien and Gabot were incredibly knowledgeable and patient. I booked 4 total dives between 2 days and they took great care of us above and under the water. On our second day of diving we started seeing an incredible amount of whales and Fabien, Scott and Captain Charlie were nice enough to rebook our dives to the next day and turn the morning into a magical whale watching tour! Thank you for the wonderful dive experience in Cabo.

This was our first experience with Dive Ninja. We booked their Mobula Ray Expedition more than a year in advance, and I will admit to some trepidation. A LOT can happen in a year, but Sara clearly communicated everything, and I bought travel insurance just in case… As the date approached, Sara was in my email confirming we were still coming, and providing trip details, such as to where to meet. Dive Ninja was our first stop of a 17 day trip, and we arrived with more luggage than the average person. Undaunted, Sara, Donna, and the team found a place to store the excess that we wouldn't need, and we were off to their super-secret "compound". Now…when I hear compound, I'm thinking dormitories, shared bathrooms, just the basics. When we arrived, my wife and I had our own personal "bungalow". Probably close to 1200 sqft, with a kitchen, private bathroom, outdoor concealed shower where you could rinse off sand before going inside, and a GREAT patio area for relaxing at the end of the day or watching the sun rise. Donna and Victoria worked hard to make sure their guests were comfortable both with the excursions, as well as back at camp. Dani was the science person that gave daily talks about the mobula rays. And Reuben and Ruth did a great job of exceeding dietary requests by those of us staying with them for 5 days. We saw mobula rays, whales, dolphins, birds, sea lions, and we did some snorkeling on reefs. Far exceeded any expectations I might have had before landing in Cabo. Overall, two thumbs up. Don't hesitate…book the trip…you won't regret it. Special thanks you Donna for helping us get some perfect pics!

We had a fabulous time on the Gentle Giants tour with Donna as guide, along with two other guests. The hotel in Cabo was intimate, well kept, and convenient to walk around the city, including to the boat dock. The boat captains and local guides were all excellent. We had plenty of time in each location to find whales and get close, always following the local rules. Swimming with the whale sharks was truly amazing - the juveniles are so big! It was also loads of fun to swim with the playful sea lion pups. The side trip to the mountains to see cave painting was fun and unexpected. It was interesting to see the nearby ranch and talk to the rancher. Donna also knew great places to eat in every town. Never had any dietary problems. This was my best trip to Mexico by a long shot. I love that Dive Ninja supports the local economy with eco-tourism. Looking forward to some day going on another trip with Dive Ninja Expeditions!

I have wanted to scuba dive for many years. I found Dive Ninja's and planned a trip to Cabo. The staff there was so helpful and available as I planned and scheduled my trip. They are excellent about safety and sent me forms to complete including a medical evaluation. Unfortunately, I wasn't approved medically. I am grateful for the staff's understanding and patience with me.

We did a family dive with Joy and Sara on our first trip and went again with Sara on our 2nd trip a couple of days later. Both trips were well organized and we had a great time.

My daughter and I spent a week in Cabo San Lucas and booked 3 dive charters with Dive Ninja Expeditions. They were extremely friendly, professional, and punctual! Their divemasters were very informative, and we felt totally safe under their guidance. Would definitely book again with them when we return!!

First ever diving experience. Can't say enough about Dive Ninja's expertise, local dive spot knowledge and professionalism. Had a great "2 Tanks local diving in the Cabo Marine Park" on June 30, 2024. The dive was lead by Joy, who was very helpful, patient, and educational especially for me as a newbie diver. The boat picked us up in front of Casa Dorada Resort where they have a Dojo and give lessons. It was only a 5 minute boat ride to the dive site at Pelican rock. Joy made sure me and my buddy were all ready and briefed and in when went. Joy pointed out the unique fish and other sightings. She took care to make sure we were O.K. throughout the dive. And we had a fun time, with lots to see. When we are back in Cabo I'll definitely book with Dive Ninja's again.

I was on the May 17-24, 2024 Mobula Ray Expedition. I have waited until now, a month later, to write a review, thinking the euphoria might have subsided. It has not. This trip gave me exactly what I hoped for, reassurance that despite so much damage by humans, nature will find a way. When I saw the aggregation of the mobula rays (Mobula munkiana) for the first time I was so moved I cried. Despite snotting up my mask, it was definitely a peak experience in my longish life of 72 years. It was a blessing in disguise that my camera failed and I was able to be fully present to the experience. That was only the first day, and we swam with the same hundreds of rays for a couple of hours. On the following days we snorkeled with a small group of the much larger Mobula mobular, (which I swear were showing off for us), more huge aggregations of munkiana.  No company can guarantee that you will see what you could see, but the expertise and intuition of our wonderful wise-beyond-her-years guide, Victoria, and our captain resulted in one magical experience after another. I really cannot say enough about the quality of an expedition with Dive Ninjas. There is not one single suggestion I could make on how any aspect of this could have been improved. Short list of highlights: 1. Dive Ninjas are serious and knowledgeable about conservation and sustainability 2. Max group size is six and they will still do the trip if only 4 3. I felt very "cared for", attended to and safe throughout the expedition, on or off the water. 4. Though I was the only vegan on the trip, the wonderful cooks meticulously cooked separately and deliciously for me. 5. There is very much an egalitarian team atmosphere among the staff. 6. The accommodations are fabulous villas, very private, the whole location rented by Dive Ninjas for their expeditions.  I have such complete trust in Dive Ninjas to create a memorable experience, I am already in the process of booking two more expeditions. My Wife Sharon and I stayed in Cabo end of July, she wanted to do some scuba while being there, we found out about Dive Ninja while staying at Casa Dorada hotel. She was very happy for all the services that they provided, everything was very professional and everybody from staff to the dive master did an excellent job. We will come back...

Just finished a mag bay marlin trip. Incredible trip made better by the dive ninja staff. Hoping I can come back again asap.

Our family had an awesome set of dives both day and night. We are a family of 4 with two boys 14 and 17. We did two dives in the Corridor and one night dive in the Marine Park. Marco and Chelsea did a great job of explaining everything and taking it nice and slow. This was by far our best diving experience. We saw devil rays on the way out and fake killer whales rolling along. During dives in the day we saw morays, mantas and so many types of fish it was crazy. The night dive was great as well with rays swimming around and a huge striped eel hunting. My older boy really enjoyed the lobster. I can't say enough about the entire experience from the book with Samira to the check in and everything was in place. Gear movement to the doc and the boat captain has so much experience diving (48 years in Cabo) he was able to put us right on top of so much and explain the surroundings and what used to be there. If you looking to book some dives in Cabo I highly recommend Dive Nijas!

I got my open water certification from Dive Ninja last week. It took 2 days from 8am to 5:30pm (not including the e-learning portion). I feel lucky to have had Marco as my instructor. I was also lucky to have been the only student for those two days. Samira was the dive master trainee (DMT), who helped Marco teach me the dive skills for two days. Marco and Samira were very patient and kind. I think it is the European way of teaching (they are from Switzerland). I loved the positive reinforcement and positive feedbacks. They made me want to try harder and do better. Some of the skills I had to learn would have normally been scary and challenging, but I felt totally safe with Marco and Samira by my side. I can't wait to go on more dives in the future. I highly recommend Dive Ninja for anyone considering getting the open water certification in Cabo.

Our experience with Dive Ninja Expeditions was really excellent from beginning to end. I had been looking for an operator that was both recommended by PADI and with great reviews on TripAdvisor too, and this is how we found them. We booked through the WeTravel platform ahead of our trip and then exchanged emails with Xochil at Dive Ninja Expeditions which made the process very simple, as she was super responsive and thoughtful. As a result we were ready to get trained the day we arrived in Cabo. The entire staff at Dive Ninja was both extremely friendly and professional. Victoria was our lead instructor and she demonstrated great commitment to our safety and instruction and made it easy to learn. With the assistance of Mercedes and Anika we were in great hands so that when my son and I got certified we felt that we were ready. We then did a couple more dives with Dive Ninja and equally enjoyed our time. We would have done more dives with them, if only I had remembered to book those ahead of time (which sadly I did not, and the week between Christmas and New Year is very busy in Cabo). We will definitely use Dive Ninja Expeditions next time we are back in Cabo!

Had a great time and the dive masters were super patient with a refresher class. My last dive was off a pier and about 10 years ago. This was a great group of folks and very safety conscious and knowledgeable about the dive areas in Cabo San Lucas. If you need a refresher class or not and just want to dive with best, then choose Dive Ninja Expeditions. They didn't disappoint!!

As good as it gets! I took my first breaths underwater with Dive Ninja and quickly became addicted. I live in Cabo and I´ve had the pleasure to do all my certifications with them so far. From the Open Water to the Rescue Diver Course. All of them full of patience and fun. The staff is amazingly knowledgeable and friendly. Jay is awesome! If you want to know you are safe and enjoy Baja with happy people.... I unequivocally recommend them!

Wow being homebound I was able to take online courses for ocean conservation through this company. It has enriched my soul and helped me learn about this little blue dot we call earth to have so much to be grateful for and how to take care of it even more. So not only do they have awesome expeditions but they also do a lot more, check out Ocean Stories!!! I got certified for Coral reef conservation and Project Aware. Looking forward to my next online certification and did I mention inexpensive??? Yup!

Found Dive Ninjas on Yelp, read the good reviews so decided to give it a try. Jay was very helpful with booking the type of trip I wanted. I'm advanced open water with Padi, but hadn't gone diving in a few years. We did the refresher practice course in the pool, and then they took me out for two dives in the afternoon. They provided all the equipment, which was great and well taken care of. The dives were incredible and beyond what I expected. The second dive we swam with the sea lions and watched them play underwater. They would swim up super close to you! Will definitely come back again. Jay wasn't able to be there that day, but his team took good care of me.

We did our first dive today in almost 5 years and it was fabulous! We did a refresher course that included two dives. We were a little rusty, so appreciated the review, and Fabien was an excellent guide! The communication was great, we felt safe, and had a great experience, reminding us of why we wanted to start diving in the first place. Would highly recommend this company!

We just spent a week diving with Dive Ninja and couldn't be more happy with their professionalism, cheerfulness and intelligence. They knew the best dive spots to take us to and had the local knowledge to allow us to see the best of underwater Cabo. This review would not be complete without mentioning Donna a dive guide who was simply an amazing and capable guide. Donna worked hard to make our experience truly world class. This is a terrific dive operation through and through.

Jay and the Dive Ninja team really are a unique dive shop, and must be experienced to be believed. They have fantastic communication, and really make sure they get to know your abilities, and what sort of adventure you are looking for ahead of time. Whether you are a beginner just taking your first breaths underwater, or you are a seasoned technical diver looking to explore the untouched abyss in search of rare pelagics, they will make sure that you are getting exactly what you want out of your visit. They have great knowledge of the local area, are a ton of fun, are safe, and really go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying yourself. Now that I've dove with them, I can't imagine using anyone else in the area. I can't wait to come back again for another visit!

I was in Cabo earlier this month with friends and a few of us decided to sign up with Jay to become scuba certified. I was quite apprehensive and I do have a history of being clostrophobic, surprisingly I did great thanks to my comfort level with them after our pool experience. He is extremely knowledgable and his staff is very patient and kind. I would highly recommend him and his team to my family and friends.

First...know that I am an avid YELP reader of reviews but not an avid YELP writer of reviews. Our experience with Jay & David during our July 4th 2018 trip to Cabo merited this written review. Warning: lengthy, but hopefully will give you a broad overview of our experience based on our group of very diverse divers (w/Pics). 1) I am a certified, openwater vacation diver with 100+ dives logged....not a lot by many standards, but enough to be knowledgeable. 2) My wife is not a diver....has been on a one-time resort dive a few years ago during our honeymoon to see if she could get past her anxiety about diving. She was anxious @25ft then but enjoyed it enough to want to try one more time...and knowing that I talk about doing it together...she really wanted to give it another go. 3) The other couple who joined us were not divers...but wanted to learn. The DIVE INSTRUCTION experience: I contacted Dive Ninja based on solid reviews before our trip...and Jay (owner / operator) was very responsive. I described the varying levels of divers we had with us and that we were looking for a patient, informed (english-speaking) dive instructor for the other 3 who would allow me to hang out with them for their initial dive instruction. Jay was more than accommodating and described their operation, and the appropriate requirement of a half day of several hours of classroom & pool work...then an afternoon dive (or 2) depending on the diver comfort levels at the 30-40' beginner dive site (Pelican Rock) which has a sandy bottom - ideal to begin a first ocean dive. Everything he described sounded on par with what you would expect. However, in going above/beyond, Jay has partnered with Nautilus Dive Tech in Cabo and utilizes their instruction pool which has a 3' instruction level shelf and then drops to a 15' deep practice pool...an important depth to practice clearing ears, bouyancy/weights etc. for an inexperienced diver. His personal instruction in both the classroom portion & pool work was reflective of his MANY years as both a dive instructor, dive master and as a professional diver - salvage, rescue, etc. He was clear, patient, fun but most importantly he was professional. He was clear to articulate the dangers and rewards of diving as a sport without scaring anyone. My wife did GREAT....she was calm, relaxed, and was very comfortable in the pool. I attribute this to the way in which Jay made her feel reassured. The other couple adjusted to the pool experience with a bit more of a challenge, but eventually were able to pass the pool work and go for the dive. We got fitted with all of the appropriate gear (which was in very good condition). I brought my own mask,fins,snorkel, 5mm suit, but their package pricing was VERY reasonable for the gear the other divers needed (all of above, plus BCs/appropriate 3mm wetsuits for July diving, etc). The DIVE We told Jay we weren't looking for a packed boat of divers with a big ratio of divers-to-dive masters, especially with our 3 inexperienced divers. Jay offered a private charter boat option with HIM, one of his experienced dive masters (Dave), & the captain. And as a bonus, coincidentally he just hired a 3rd dive master & had picked her up at the airport the day before. He'd known her for years in past professional roles in another part of the world. She joined us for her 2nd ever dive in Cabo to get familiar with the area. So, we had a ratio of 3 dive masters to 4 divers! Can't beat that.. Luck of timing, too. The dive boat was clean, and built for diving. His captain has been captaining boats in Cabo for quite some time and was a stellar navigator of the many challenges Cabo water tourism can bring. The service on the boat and the way they prepared the equipment and got the divers suited up, and feeling confident for entry, was great! Once we were ALL in....our couple friends struggled to get down, or clear ears, and ended up aborting their first dive after 15-20 mins of trying. GREAT patience on Jay's part to work with them, and this additional time of working w/them could have created anxiety in my wife about her friends not being able to get settled. Eventually, she & Jay descended and joined Dave, the other dive master and I down at the bottom. We enjoyed a rather murky first dive with marginal sea life in the over-populated beginner dive site/snorkeling site...but it was an important dive. My wife felt comfortable the ENTIRE TIME...at 40' depth. Jay stayed right with her - and that reassuring partnership under water gave her a much-needed confidence that she CAN do this..and WANTS to. While the 3 others bailed on a 2nd dive and opted for snorkeling (my wife was torn & felt she should stay with her friends who were co-chartering the private boat), Jay stayed with them while Dave & the new dive master & I were able to get a 2nd dive in at a 60-70' depth. I HIGHLY recommend Dive Ninjas for your Cabo Dive experience...for ALL diver levels!

OMG! This was an awesome dive vaca! Thank you so much for everything. Mariana, you rock. Specific and well earned shoutout to Donna!!!! You were above and beyond a dive guide! We have never been picked up by the guide at our hotel, thx so much!!! This group organized our entire dive vaca based on our wants. Then when the first dives were a little coder then expected, allowed us to adjust our schedule and provide additional wetsuits to compensate for the cold. I had one dive governed by Murphy's law, "o" ring issue and after failed attempts to fix, Donna gave me her tank and used the original! I highly recommend any level of diver contact Mariana and jay to arrange their dive vacation in the Cabo area.

Best Instructors with the most complete programs for the courses!! Just finished my Divemaster course with them and I could not be more happy about it. I have learned so much and I enjoyed every single moment. The Divemaster program is super unique because besides learning the normal PADI Divemaster Program, Dive Ninja added workshops about UW photo, working in remote areas, sustainability and more. The Ninja team is just amazing, all of them are super professional, responsible and very fun. Specially the awesome instructors Jay, Donna, Ellen and super captain Alex. I highly recommend Dive Ninja Expeditions to all the ocean lovers and passionate divers or future divers.

The entire shop is staffed with super knowledgeable and helpful people who you'd probably be friends with in 'real life', which makes diving even more amazing, especially because you can feel comfortable asking your instructor the same dumb question over and over and they will always have your back, in and out of the water (you know who you are, Mario!). I absolutely LOVED these guys and couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the world of diving. And I cannot WAIT to dive with them again!!

To compliment the amazing scuba diving in Cabo San Lucas, this company goes above and beyond. Donna,Ellen ,and Jay are super duper into marine conservation and very knowledgable about the marine environment around them. I've been diving with them many times and I always feel safe and cared for. If you are in Cabo..thinking of coming to Cabo..or a plane ride away..just do it. You wont regret a thing. Besides scuba diving ,they also run whale watching tours and shark expeditions..so if you arent scuba certified..no worries. I love this company and everything they stand for.

Jay could not have taken better care of us! He scheduled multiple dives and snorkeling for our group over several days. He took care of everything! Transport, dive equipment and showed the divers so many interesting places. Mari worked with the snorkeling group and made everyone feel comfortable and safe. They are so passionate about the ocean and diving and preserving the wildlife and habitat they are in. We felt first class with Dive Ninja! We will dive with them again for sure!!!

Had a great time diving with Dive Ninjas. We did a variety of dives in Cabo, some in the bay and some a bit farther out along the corridor. Dive boat was good and entire dive staff including the Captain were very professional, experienced, and fun. Got to meet other divers from Cabo and all over the world. I came to Cabo with family and friends for a week. While here I got in touch Jay and he gave me all the details I needed to dive with Dive Ninja Expeditions!!! It was my first time diving on vacation since I've been certified so I was VERY nervous about a possible sketchy experience. NOT HERE!!! Jay took his time messaging me and explained to me in depth *pun intended* everything I wanted to know. This really help put my nervous mind at ease. He saved a spot for me on a day I had chosen and when I showed up everything went well. He started with explaining how the day would go, again. He had me fill out the standard paperwork and he asked to see my PADI Cert card. Asked about my experience. All the stuff that protects the shop and myself in reality. Very professional. The employees were all friendly and all smiles. I got Edgar as my guide. He was great! Constantly checked on me but didn't baby me. He said we can go down to the max depth you're allowed with your cert. Or stay shallow and to let him know what I wanted. He was sure to point out tons of things I would have missed otherwise, like an Eel. Edgar and the crew were all very helpful. If you are interested in snorkel, discover scuba, getting certified, or scuba diving while on vacation; this is the place to go!!!! You will not regret it. Thanks again guys!!!

Dive ninja expeditions is an absolutely amazing company to deal with. They are a Cabo San Lucas based dive shop that can provide expeditions of all sorts catered to your needs. An unique aspect is that they are very passionate about marine conservation and incorporate it into their business practices ensuring that they provide intimate experiences in small groups which inspires you to really appreciate the marine world for what it is. My family and I needed a COVID break and enjoy scuba diving. It was easy communicating with Donna, Ellen and Mariana to set up the trip. We spent one day diving in the bay, two days diving in Cabo Pulmo, a day I received one on one instruction with diving with Jay Clue, the original dive ninja, followed by a day trip to La Reina for some spectaculat diving. My family and I enjoyed all of the excursions thoroughly! My son is 13 and daughter 11 and they were able to cater to all needs. Special shout out to Ellen who went the extra mile for us really making sure all needs were met. I highly recommend a visit to Cabo Pulmo and La Reina and you will get to really appreciate the variety of underwater terrain and fish life there. Also if you have any interest in underwater photography I would recommend spending some time with Jay he really broke down the fundamentals really well and gave a ton of really good pointers. I look forward to working with them more for my future vacations.

New to diving? Advanced diver? Looking to get dive training or certifications? Look no further than Dive Ninja Expeditions. Jay and his crew are the best of the best and they are right there in Cabo! Very reasonable prices. Didn't bring equipment--no problem, they will help you out! The dive shop is a short walk from the marina and near some great restaurants too. Our party did a technical dive, night dive and two day dives and Dive Ninja even provided guided snorkeling for those who didn't dive. You really feel like long lost friends who've reconnected after just a few minutes with the crew. Super knowledgeable about diving and the area--where to eat, where to see cool off the beaten path things, etc. Everyone on the Dive Ninja team was awesome! YOU NEED TO DIVE WITH DIVE NINJA! Unique experience. We felt like more than just customers. We felt like family.
