Dive Ninja Expeditions

Had an amazing experience with the team! Our guides Fabien and Gabot were incredibly knowledgeable and patient. I booked 4 total dives between 2 days and they took great care of us above and under the water. On our second day of diving we started seeing an incredible amount of whales and Fabien, Scott and Captain Charlie were nice enough to rebook our dives to the next day and turn the morning into a magical whale watching tour! Thank you for the wonderful dive experience in Cabo.

I booked and paid for a dive. Went to the shop after arriving in Cabo to check in with them. Then, the day before my scheduled dive, they called to tell me the boats were going to be inspected at the time I was scheduled to dive, and they could not find another spot for me. They offered a refund. However, I feel they should have offered a free or discounted dive for my next visit to Cabo. I tried to find a spot with other dive shops, but they were booked with such short notice. Dive Ninjas said, " we hope you'll come see us again." Really? I understand things happen out of your control. But I am out the cost of dive insurance and won't be able to enjoy a dive on my annual vacation. So, I'm not sure why you would expect me to try again with your dive shop. I am disappointed with Dive Ninjas. UPDATE: Dive Ninjas recently refunded my dive fee and sent me a gift card towards a future dive. I changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars accordingly. If I get back to Cabo, I can give them another try. Hopefully, it will be a better experience 🙏

I'm a beginner & I did my first dive with Dive Ninja, the entire experience was just amazing. From replying to my question via mail, their booking process & the experience on the dive day, everything was so smooth. Oriol, my instructor is a great teacher & a great diver. He made me comfortable with water in no time. We saw so many fishes, eels & other marine life. I highly recommend to dive with Dive Ninja.

Dive Ninja and those I had the pleasure of interacting with (from Biviana at the shop and Arianna as the dive guide) really deserve those 5 stars. I had a narrow window in which I could try and get some diving in before I had to leave Cabo San Lucas. Not only did Biviana make the seemingly impossible, possible, but she did so with infinite patience wading through my plethora of emails. And then to be able to change on the fly and at the very last minute all that we had organized due to a last minute, unforeseen change in my own travel plans. I again thank you for all your hard work in making this happen! And then to the boat crew, who kept us safe on the water and showed better seamanship than many of the boats around us, and therefore I felt safe diving off the vessel. And finally to the dive leader, Arianna, who is an excellent guide. She really knew the sites and thanks to her, we found some truly amazing marine life; at no point did I feel unsafe or worried while under her supervision; and who I enjoyed chatting with about diving on the boat during our surface intervals. Next time I get the chance to go to Cabo San Lucas, there is no doubt that I will be ringing up Dive Ninja again.

This was our first experience with Dive Ninja. We booked their Mobula Ray Expedition more than a year in advance, and I will admit to some trepidation. A LOT can happen in a year, but Sara clearly communicated everything, and I bought travel insurance just in case… As the date approached, Sara was in my email confirming we were still coming, and providing trip details, such as to where to meet. Dive Ninja was our first stop of a 17 day trip, and we arrived with more luggage than the average person. Undaunted, Sara, Donna, and the team found a place to store the excess that we wouldn't need, and we were off to their super-secret "compound". Now…when I hear compound, I'm thinking dormitories, shared bathrooms, just the basics. When we arrived, my wife and I had our own personal "bungalow". Probably close to 1200 sqft, with a kitchen, private bathroom, outdoor concealed shower where you could rinse off sand before going inside, and a GREAT patio area for relaxing at the end of the day or watching the sun rise. Donna and Victoria worked hard to make sure their guests were comfortable both with the excursions, as well as back at camp. Dani was the science person that gave daily talks about the mobula rays. And Reuben and Ruth did a great job of exceeding dietary requests by those of us staying with them for 5 days. We saw mobula rays, whales, dolphins, birds, sea lions, and we did some snorkeling on reefs. Far exceeded any expectations I might have had before landing in Cabo. Overall, two thumbs up. Don't hesitate…book the trip…you won't regret it. Special thanks you Donna for helping us get some perfect pics!

We had a fabulous time on the Gentle Giants tour with Donna as guide, along with two other guests. The hotel in Cabo was intimate, well kept, and convenient to walk around the city, including to the boat dock. The boat captains and local guides were all excellent. We had plenty of time in each location to find whales and get close, always following the local rules. Swimming with the whale sharks was truly amazing - the juveniles are so big! It was also loads of fun to swim with the playful sea lion pups. The side trip to the mountains to see cave painting was fun and unexpected. It was interesting to see the nearby ranch and talk to the rancher. Donna also knew great places to eat in every town. Never had any dietary problems. This was my best trip to Mexico by a long shot. I love that Dive Ninja supports the local economy with eco-tourism. Looking forward to some day going on another trip with Dive Ninja Expeditions!

The Dive Ninja team go out of their way to make sure that you get amazing dive experiences! I've found the team to be engaging and knowledgeable, with a high level of experience in both recreational and technical diving. I've been on several expeditions with Dive Ninjas, with mind blowing up close encounters with great whites, humpback whales, mantas, american crocodiles, bull sharks and so much more! What I've particularly enjoyed with these expeditions is that they always include an educational and strong conservation element, where I get to learn more about the marine animals and encounters that I'm experiencing from local experts, as well as considerations for protecting our marine friends. I also decided to do some technical dive training with the team in Cabo San Lucas. This was something that I had been wanting to do for a while, but I had struggled to find an instructor that I felt I could trust. The program was both demanding and highly enjoyable - I felt supported but also challenged to keep learning and pushing myself to master the skills I needed to complete my certification. I would definitely recommend Dive Ninjas for all your dive training needs!

I passed my Open Water PADI certificate with Dive Ninja on Dec 26th and 27th. Everything went smoothly and the pace was perfect for me though if you want to "take it easy" I would not recommend the 2 day accelerated formula as it is pretty intense (again, perfect for me!). Daniel was very clear in his explanations and very patient (you can feel he was a teacher before becoming a scuba instructor!).
