15 Best Breweries in Charlotte

"Since it opened in 2018, Divine Barrel has been making noise in the artsy NoDa neighborhood with its West Coast IPAs and fruity Berliner Weisses. And it’s not often that you find yourself getting home decor inspiration at a brewery, but this is certainly the case here; the space is ethereal and airy, with greenery and modern light fixtures that complement the exposed brick. Oh, and the patio is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your pup along." - Lauren Levine

Stopped by on a Monday evening. Victoria our server was friendly and helpful as always. I like how they split the beers by style on their screens. I also like the large bar. When it is on tap I get “Beer Flavored Beer” yes that is the name of the beer. It’s also in many stores. Tonight I tried two guest taps. Both were good. This place gets busy on Monday because it is trivia night. Small parking lot but there is parking across the street. Dog friendly. They try to have food trucks every night.

Google
Divine Barrel is one of our favorite breweries - so we held our wedding reception there! I cannot stress enough how awesome Jake is to work with. He made everything easy and we had a phenomenal and fun event. Thanks to the whole bar crew for all you did to make it an amazing night!

JNC ARTISTRY

Google
Divine Barrel Arts was a wonderful place to host my partnership makeup class with Skill Pop. The private space was well lit, clean and set up for us and the staff was helpful and accommodating.

Google
Great beer, great people. I prefer sours and they have some really good ones. If they have lunchbox confidential when you go, get it. They also have fantastic seltzers, and my friends like their ipas and porters. They have a lot of events and food trucks.

Google
Good brewery especially if you are looking for a nonalcoholic option. Loved the apple rose beer they offer definitely try it.

Google
Tucked away spot that really is a gem.. The place just feels like good energy. Beertender was super cool. Had a nice chat and he pointed me in the direction of some other must try breweries while I was in town.. Spacious with a cool rustic yet modern warehouse type of feel. Small poured a handful of their IPAs and was not disappointed. Everything was clean, balanced, delicious.. I'm a fan. Didn't ask the story behind the name.. Google here I come.

Google
This place has the best sour I have ever had. Absolute perfection if you like that style of beer. Perception is Spoonfed 💯. The vibe is nice inside and there is a relaxing outdoor area to enjoy the air on clear days. Certainly worth a visit if you're in the area.

Google
Another great NoDa brewery to enjoy. Great on tap beer selections. No grub prepared here, but they have a variety of bagged fare (popcorn, pretzels, chips) in various flavors. A food truck comes when weather permits. Jake, the bartender, is one of the most friendiest folks you could ever have an opportunity to meet. Nice place to meet up with friends while enjoying a cold craft. An array of activities noted on different nights of the week to keep you coming back.

Yelp
Enjoyed the beer choir at this brewery The staff was helpful Great location....easy parking

Yelp
Great brewery with solid beer and great seating throughout the inside and outside. Parking is a bit cramped but that can be expected in this area of NODA. Service was great and I can't wait to be back to try more of their beers.

Yelp
I called to ask about this place and was told they had a full bar and a really nice open mic night. I drove across town to check it out and got there at 6:25 when it was supposed to begin. By 705 it still had not started. There were 15 young women hanging out and talking, but no one got it started. I went to get a drink and learned that it is not a full bar. It is a beer bar with liquors. But no mixers. So most of the drinks are made with some sort of combination of beer I was told. Disappointing because I am allergic to beer. They don't serve food, but you can bring food with you. Otherwise, I liked the vibe of the place, I liked that they allow dogs. I liked the atmosphere. But eat and drink before you go and don't
google avatar

Yelp
This is the place that you spend your hard earned money. Don't waste time on the Posers, the hipsters, the bullshiet, go to a place that loves dogs, has good beer, and loves dogs. I'm so tired of the your dog is welcome 50 yards away BS. This is the place to go.

Yelp
This place is set back amongst some shops and other restaurants in the NoDa neighborhood. I've been to a few breweries in Charlotte and this is a new favorite. They have a big indoor space with a stage for music and plenty of tables for groups. The prices are pretty solid so you're not breaking the bank. The servers are very friendly and attentive and the whole vibe is super casual all around. We didn't order any food but we did stick around for a while and sat outside to enjoy the gorgeous weather. Would definitely love to go back here in the future!

Yelp
I really liked the vibe of this place. The server at the bar was so helpful in choosing the best beer for my taste. She did not hesitate to give me tastes of different ones I was contemplating. I got a peanut butter stout, which was full of flavor and delicious! There's something for everyone on the menu, including soursand cider. This place is especially good for big groups and a nice table for friends to play games at. You really should check it out.

Yelp
We came here for a beer and board game birthday bash. What a cool spot - just a tad off the beaten path of NODA. Which was great because parking was easy!! We got a spot right out front in their lot. I am no currently drinking so I cannot comment on the beer. I can relay comments from the spouse. As to atmosphere... chill and relaxed. Plenty of games and I MEAN PLENTY!! TV's a plenty. They have a large projection TV viewable from the whole place. The staff could not have been more friendly. Terrific service! My wife sampled the Czech Dark Lager - a little too malty for her, the Tried & True Brown Ale - a bit too dark. She settled on the Czech Pils (yes, very different form the other 2) and liked it very much. We used Uber Eats to have food ordered in (shout out to one of my faves Bisonte Pizza!!) Look forward to a return visit here. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Divine Barrel features unique beers with fun names! Defensive French Toast is my favorite. I appreciate that they have a wide variety of beer types - light beers, IPAs, and dark beers. I also love the space - tall ceilings, plants!, and plenty of seating. I visited on a Sunday evening and enjoyed the live music. There are sooo many breweries in Charlotte, but Divine Barrel stands out. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
Beer for my feet, please! I stopped at Divine Barrel for a frosty beverage and some wifi before continuing my Saturday wandering. This is a large spot and they have a dozen or so beers on tap plus several guest beers, ciders and even a hard seltzer. I found a comfy spot near a power outlet to charge my phone. At the bar, a pour of their Czech Pils was perfect. Nice table to sit, several other folks around with take out food ordered from local vendors. There was also a baby shower (what?) in the side room. Great spot, definitely worthy of the Charlotte beer scene. [Review 16947 overall - 3269 in North Carolina - 463 of 2022.]

Yelp
Divine Barrel is quickly becoming one of my favorite NC craft breweries. Tucked away cool little spot in the Northeast of Charlotte in the NoDa district Divine Barrel offers some truly unique beers. I first encountered Divine Barrel in Wilmington Nc where I tried the Lunchbox Confidential and Holy Cow it's a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich in a can. I was super excited about finally getting to visit the tap house. The space is super cool with a large outdoor patio and plenty of seating inside. We got a flight and really enjoyed every expression they offered. The Ice cream Paint job and Lunchbox were super crushable! Can't wait for another visit which shhh (I'm headed there now)

Yelp
5 stars - unique variation of beers, lots of seating, games and books available Cool brewery in Charlotte, NC with friendly staff. Lots of really unique and varied beers on tap to satisfy different tastes. Not a single hazy IPA on the menu and everything was delicious. I really enjoyed the snakes and sparklers, which tasted exactly like sour candy, and my husband loved the smoked gratzer. Liked the beer enough that we got some to-go as well. They had some books and games as well for people wanting to hang out for a while!

Yelp
A little bit north of the NoDa area proper is one of my favorite breweries in the vast Charlotte brewery ecosystem, Divine Barrel. The reason why I'm so fond of it is really simple, I think they serve some of the best beer. With all the new breweries popping up it can be hard to distinguish or find one that stands out but I have tried several beers here and find that their beer stands out in what can sometimes feel like a sea of mediocrity. Bonus points for also having fun names like "Defensive Pancake" for a maple porter and "Beer Flavored Beer" for a lager. They do not have their own kitchen but they usually have a food truck outside and I believe they are able to order from some of the restaurants nearby. I still cannot say I have tried every charlotte brewery but I have tried a good chunk of them and this one is one that I highly recommend!

Yelp
You can find Divine Barrel Brewing at 3701 N Davidson St, Ste 203, Charlotte, NC 28205 in NoDa. The brewery is at the back end of a building so you'll see the covered patio first - the entry is in the brick building to the right. The interior is a mix of reused industrial polished concrete floors with exposed brick and ceilings, and recycled barnwood paneling (or are they pallets?) with metal chairs and wood topped barrels for tables. It's quite comfortable - reminds me of some of the coastal bars/restaurants I've visited in my travels only with much higher ceilings. The taproom bar is to the back with a fairly large list of available beers on tap (I think there were 13 on this day) - there was also a smaller board that held some barrel-aged items - I believe poured from bottles - make sure you take a look, it's under the larger menu. Seems they also offer a few additional items like Untitled Art fruited hard seltzers, non-alcohol beer, ciders and prosecco. We tried: * Cadillac Rainbows Fruited Berliner Weisse 4/5 - Nice smoothy sour with big fruity additions of sweet mango and guava, tart passion fruit and peach. Starts out a bit tart and juicy then finishes sweet and mouthcoating. * Barleywine in Retrograde 4/5 - Notes of bitter dark chocolate and tart dark fruit on the nose, full roasty thick body with hint of tobacco, finishing sweet with a good amount of bittering hops on the finish, slightly warm * We're out of Peanut Butter, Frank Stout 4/5 - Buttery fairly thick bodied porter with notes of chocolate, roasted peanuts (mostly on the nose), finishing slightly sweet with a good amount of balancing hops in the finish. * Spatial Awareness Stout 4.2/5 - Thick bodied coffee stout with big notes of dark chocolate and bitter coffee, offset by sweet vanilla and a bit of chilli flavor that heats up a bit as you drink and the stout warms * Climb a Cloud NEIPA 4.1/5 Well made NEIPA with hints of sweet orange and grapefruit in a hazy, juicy body with good mouthfeel, finishing hoppy. * Untitled Arts Pineapple Mango Seltzer 4.2/5 - If you haven't tried these UA seltzers you're really missing out - this one is super juicy with big flavors of sweet mango and tart pineapple. * Sleep is a Cousin of Death - Brandy Barleywine - 4.4/5 Delicious sweet bodied barleywine with lots of barrel, notes of sweet toffee, dried fig and almond cookie. Somewhat boozy finish but hey I don't mind this one - builds as you drink and the beer warms. * Sleep is a Cousin of Death - Cognac Barleywine - 4.3/5 A bit dryer than the brandy version with different barrel complexity, notes of toffee, molasses, fig, with a cleaner, crisper finish. * What Glitters is Gold Hefe 4/5 - Competently made Hefeweizen with hazy body, notes of citrus and bready yeast in a creamy body with great mouthfeel, typical banana nose finishing fairly clean - crushable. * Warm my Bones Imperial Stout 4.4/5 - Something about that Apple Brandy barrel that imparts a sweetness that makes your toes curl, notes of dark chocolate in a thick body with a warming, boozy finish - very decadent. In all the service was exceptional and the venue welcoming. We had a great time.

Yelp
We love this local brewery. Even on busy days there's always plenty of room inside and outside. The beer list is extensive and we love that you can get 5, 10 or 16 oz pours of every beer. They have a nice selection of table games too. Lately they've had a delicious pizza food truck stationed outside making wonderful wood fired pizzas.

Yelp
Divine Barrel was a brewery Steve and I had a couple beers from and we were pretty impressed with our craft beer experience with this brewery. Impressive Dexterity was the first beer that we had which was an India Pale Lager. A tyoe of lager I don't get the opportunity to have very often. I was grateful to have it but unfortunately I wasn't terribly impressed with it. This beer has a dry, citrus flavor to it which wasn't too bad but unfortunately I didn't get a huge impression with it. But wow, did things turn around after that! Cadillac Rainbows was the next beer we had and Steve and I really enjoyed that one! This beer is a fruited Berlinerweise and proved to be so very good. Passion fruit was the main fruit highlight with this beer. Easily this beer could come off too sweet but I didn't feel like I got too sugared up with this beer and it just had a nice all around balance to it. So in the end this proved to be a rewarding brewery experience and worthy of the stars I'm giving it... four!

Yelp
Divine Barrel Brewing offers a good variety of their crafted beers. Upon arrival, I sampled their Here Wit Heart (a wit bier), Widow Walken (a hazy TIPA), the Hawt Lubelski (a pepper gratzer), and the Defensive Pancake (a maple vanilla porter). It was a close call between the Widow Walken and the Hawt Lubelski, while I liked the smoky spiciness of the Hawt Lubelski, I thought it would be a bit much for a full 16 ounce glass, so I opted for the Widow Walken, which came in a 10 ounce serving. The staff were extremely friendly and professional and the atmosphere was certainly inviting with brick walls and the lights falling on their wire from the high ceiling. The atmosphere and the chill music, rock with a mellow edge, made unwinding very easy. I would definitely recommend a visit here. Enjoy a beer and the atmosphere.

Yelp
Loved checking out this Divine Barrel taproom while visiting Charlotte. This was the only brewery I've ever been to (and believe me I've been to a lot) that had a permanent stage set up in front of their taproom for live music. This was also the first and only brewery that had a professional flute player come and perform. She did end up having a guitar player join her but it was a pleasant experience. They're a bit hidden away behind a wine shop - the entrance is actually closer to the back of the building. We learned that the hard way! Their staff was really great and super helpful. We all tried a flight and honestly all their beers were great but Snakes & Sparklers and Universal Language were my favorites. My friend also tried their PBJ beer and it was so incredibly delicious we got a crowler of it to take home with us. Overall, this was a great local spot to come hang out and drink some beers, play some games, and jam out to a local flutist. 10/10 recommend a stop in if you're in the area.

Yelp
The beer's always good when it's barrel-aged in the NoDa 'hood!⁣ ⁣ This spacious brewery offers a variety of highly-stylized beers that will impress even the staunchest of beer snobs. ⁣ With ampleparking + seating they also offer plenty of types of entertainment to enjoy between sips including video, bar, and old school games . ⁣ They are also dog-friendly and Lynx Blue Line adjacent, so you come on down and raise a glass w/every train pass! Staff is friendly & accommodating. My one little thing is I tend to shy away from places that price their sample size 5oz pours individually. While it's great to not be forced to try a set amount or have the the freedom to not be restricted to a fixed number; it can get expensive, fast! Rather than a prix-fixe price of a flight from $7-12 at most breweries, depending on which beers you get, your tab can add up quick. But, that aside, I definitely enjoyed my visit here!

Yelp
We went to Divine Barrel for the first time as a part of the K-pop event they hosted there recently. It was a fun night, but I'll focus on a review of Divine Barrel itself. I think this may be my new favorite brewery in Charlotte. My partner loved it too! I'm a big fan of sours, and they had more options than the usual brewery does! On top of that, they were absolutely delicious. They had a special one for the event that was really good, but my absolute favorite was the Snakes and Sparklers brew. It's so refreshing, and never have I ever drank a beer so quickly. I went right back for another. The service was great as well, despite the big event. The atmosphere is also neat!

Yelp
Divine Barrel was a really cool space with some solid brews. We ordered a few rounds and really enjoyed their lactose sours from the things that we tasted. They had a decent-sized outdoor seating area, and plenty of indoor seating with games Loved that this place was dog friendly too.

Yelp
Nice big place that's hidden in a back corner! You'll need to search.... hint: back left corner! Quick flight before leaving town! I tried 4 beers: oktoberfest, how the west was won, blackberry cobbler and pb porter. They were all sold beers and very enjoyable. The beertenders were very friendly and the place had a nice vibe!

Yelp
After leaving a dive bar with a much younger vibe, Divine Barrel Brewing welcomed us and was a great place for four 30somethings who want to chill and have a beer. Divine Barrel doesn't offer flights, but they do offer small pours, which is what we got. The workers were incredibly nice, and made several recommendations. The peach beer was delicious, and my husband, who doesn't usually like IPAs, really liked theirs. The brewery has comfy couches for chilling and a bulletin board that advertised social events like yoga classes and even a running club. Divine Barrel is just a short walk from the busier area of NODA and just off the highway, so it's a convenient stop for a good brew in Charlotte.

Yelp
Came here the 1st back in June for a k-pop event with my cousins. The food trucks they had were amazing loved my K-dog & my Vietnamese ice coffee . The service is good too I love how they made sure who was over 21 and who was under 21. The place is pretty chill & laid back.
google avatar

Briana C.

Yelp
No flights but you can buy by the pour which is very cool for those of you wanting to experience a brewery but not a fan of beer. Try out as many or as few as you want. I tried the Carolina Cobbler-Peach and it was delicious. Highly recommend if you're not a big fan of typical beers. If you like sweet & dark try the defensive pancake. They have a variety of different options for all types of beer drinkers and have some non-alcoholic drinks for all the saints out there. Brought my wife here for her birthday and she enjoyed it a lot! They also have a few table games and a Nintendo 64. Oh and when a train passes raise your glasses!!
google avatar

Cheryl K.

Yelp
Really cute little brewery. Lots of outside seating, and the day we were there they had a food truck in the parking lot. Not a lot of parking, so if you are in town, maybe think about using Uber/Lyft. We lucked out on getting one of the last parking spots the afternoon we were there. Great selection of beers. The day we were there they had a Pleasantly Plum sour that was very good! The staff was very knowledgeable about the beers on tap & you could taste one before deciding to purchase. If we get back to the area I would definitely stop by here again.

Yelp
Always wanted to visit Charlotte and went on a beautiful day to visit a couple of breweries and eateries. First on the list was Divine Barrel. I've heard nothing but great things about the place, and of course we showed up at 12 on the dot (when they open). You pull into a parking lot that leads to the outdoor seating area, and 2 entrances. The outdoor area has plenty of seating all fairly distanced. I saw they have lights up which would really set the mood as the sun sets. We sat outside for a while enjoying our drinks before it starting to drizzle. The one entrance is a big open area, which really expands on the open feel of the place. Like you're never completely confined to feeling stuck indoors. We were greeted right away by a couple ladies behind the bar area. They were friendly and informative on the current brews. While we don't really do flights, we were there long enough to try so many different kinds of beer. I'm a huge fan of porters, and they had a maple bacon one that we just had to go home with too. Their IPAs are great. Took a bunch of those home too. I thought it was great that on Saturdays they have "Small Business Saturdays", where they let vendors set up on their property to sell some of their merch. Got myself a pretty pair of earrings. Really loved this place. It's really beautiful inside. We even got a tour of the back. Only downside, was the food truck outside. Two different pies, both burnt. Can't really fault the brewery for that though, so yea, definitely still 5 stars.

Yelp
Great space both inside and out. The variety of beers on tap was fantastic, they had something for everyone in our party. I ended up ordering the 40 Dollar Bills IPA and You're a Towel NEIPA. We had a great time sitting outside; however, it took a turn. So, what did I not like about my visit to Divine Barrel? Getting overcharged not only once but twice. I was charged for my friends beer that was already paid plus an extra beer that we did not order. As I was trying to get the bartenders attention he turned his back to me, after a few minutes he came over and I explained I was charged for 2 additional beers. When I got the corrected check it was still wrong, the extra beer was still on there. After another correction it was finally fixed but the bartender seemed a tad annoyed. Next time don't try to overcharge and there will be no issues. It's unfortunate because I liked the beer here.

Yelp
Looking for a great brewery to visit with exceptional beer?! This is it! . . Divine has a great outdoor patio area for friends and fur friends also, the inside is huge with tons of tables and table games and even has a stage for life music. The staff is always very welcoming and fast with service, this is one of those places you just feel like home. . . With food trucks usually parked and they also sometimes hold a pop up vinyl shop along with other things, to visit and enjoy the beer!
google avatar

Raquel S.

Yelp
I came here on a Wednesday evening for a skillpop class to learn macrame. The space is really nice! It's a little off the beaten path but there is adequate parking. They have both beer and wine. I think you can bring your own food-- there was a group having a birthday party and they had pizza. There is a private room to the side (where they barrel age the beer) that can be used for private functions.
google avatar

Roman P.

Yelp
This place had wonderful beers and was a very social place. A lot of seating and places to hang out with friends. Pet Friendly and welcoming to all. Parking can be a situation, but street parking all around.
google avatar

Jalize C.

Yelp
My new favorite brewery in North Carolina. This place has a wide selection of beers and fortunately enough for me, enough IPAs to make a hoppy flight! Had to go back before heading to Jersey to take some cans back home. Spacious area, great employees, and affordable. Snacks available for purchase and there are food trucks outside. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Trystan H.

Yelp
Me and my Partner have been coming here consistently for quite a while. This is our comfort brewery for sure! The beer is amazing, and the staff is the friendliest you'll find. The atmosphere is super cozy, clean, and pretty. Bathrooms are always clean, outdoor seating is really nice. It's so hard to find a place that is 10/10 for all of these things. If you're thinking about trying it out, do yourself a favor! Oh and the moonbeams stout is fantastic.
google avatar

Yelp
I know, I know - it took me forever to get here. When you have friends that work at breweries and they like to come drink here that says a lot. So the most obvious thing is the lack of parking - we got lucky and found a spot on the Sherwin Williams side. Phew! Outside, you're thinking "There's a brewery in there?". Man, oh, man does it fool you - it's huge inside. Like two story vaulted ceiling tap room size! Alexis was our beer tour guide while we were there and took good care of us. No official flights here but they sell 5 oz pours, so you can technically build your own flight. Mine: Marshall Berry (Blueberry Kolsch) - WFAE fundraising collab and very refreshing Home Before Daylight - a nice representation of a NE IPA Under Peche-er - Very tasty and different Peach Gose with Pink Himalayan Salt The Feelin' I Forgot - West Coast IPA - Clean, fruity, crushable - my fave of the day I got a little taste of Imaginary Rulebook Hazy DIPA which was pretty killer too. No lack of indoor seating here - a little indoor flea market set up and some covered patio space outside. Will definitely be back! Got a four pack of Cadillac Rainbows to go! Finger crossed that it's a good one!!

Yelp
The beer tender was the rudest human being I've ever met. Didn't catch her name but she works at Boardwalk Billy's as well and for that reason I will NEVER EVER go back there again either. She was rude, personal, and very offensive to my girlfriend and I. So if for ANY reason you find yourself there, don't expect INCLUSION. We are in an era that should be accepting of all relationships. I think this place could do itself justice by purging itself of that cancer! We, and everyone we know will make it a point to go elsewhere.
google avatar

Brynt L.

Yelp
Quickly becoming my favorite brewery in the CLT area. The service is warm and friendly, beers are delicious, and the atmosphere is great. Did I mention they have a Nintendo 64? Recently visited with a friend and we both enjoyed our beers and a friendly competition in Mario Kart -- I won! Check out Divine if you're looking for a good beer and a chill time.
google avatar

Renee S.

Yelp
This brewery is such a great little spot! Very pleasant open atmosphere, and the staff is very welcoming. The staff is also extremely knowledgeable about the beers that they have on tap. But by far the best part is the beer. They set themselves apart from the standard brewery with their fantastic selection of unique beers with complex/ creative flavor profiles. I would hands down say that they have the best beers in Charlotte.
google avatar

Kayleigh M.

Yelp
Live music. Cute atmosphere. Plenty of tabletop games. What more could you ask for? Enjoyed the blackberry cider while my group got the light beers. The cider was not too sweet. Perfect for a hot summer day.

Yelp
With new breweries opening up in Charlotte these days it is hard to find one that outdoes another. However, Divine Barrel falls into the category of one of the best breweries open in 2018, in my mind. Divine has a beautiful space with an large patio outdoors. Service is outstanding and their draft selection is some of my favorite. They have rotating Food Trucks, for those of us who enjoy a nice snack, so that is a bonus for Divine. Although parking can be limited there is a large lot across the street and with a few other spots in the area, park, make a stop a here, and before you know you will be hooked. Looking forward to my next visit!
google avatar

Yelp
Enjoyed my first visit here and looking forward to going back. Like most breweries the vibe is very chill and laid back. They have a wide range of craft beers they make with very interesting names. They also have a few other local breweries beers on tap. This night I had one of Devine Barrel's beers that happened to be aged in a wine barrel( I thought this was interesting, that's why I chose it). The decor literally reminds me of the show Fixer Upper, more specifically Johanna Gaines style, but 'younger/no kids' ( no shade )...Moving On! Check out their social media or website for events like trivia, or yoga. I thoroughly enjoyed the Monday night trivia, and of course, there's a food truck .
google avatar

Angie P.

Yelp
Divine Barrel is fantastic & this is coming from someone who doesn't drink beer! Gavin & Ben are two of the most amazing human beings & I am so happy to see this brewery doing so well. They are so community minded, too! Have you seen all the food trucks that stop in, the yoga events, running events & they adopted a street to clean up! Ben turned me on to a gouza (spelling?). Wow, OK, so I guess I can say now that I drink beer. The quirky names, the different beer varieties ... Can we talk about how it looks inside? GORGEOUS. Look up! The lights are so neat. That outside patio area is something to talk about, too. Bartenders are friendly & outgoing. Long live Divine Barrel!

Yelp
This is a cool spot. Prior to my visit, I did not know much about this brewery. It has a large open space with a good amount of seating and games on almost every table. I was impressed with the variety they had on tap. Both the THICC and the Faceplant into Hops were well balanced, smooth and delicious. A good way to start off the weekend.

Yelp
This brewery has delicious beer! I had an amazing stout and dipa which both were refreshing after a long work week. Also the atmosphere is very relaxing and lots of table games. A food truck was conveniently parked outside as well for a quick bite. Overall the brewery is nice and can't complain about the variety they had on draft.

Yelp
This new brewery is awesome! I love it! The whole atmosphere, the decor, the people, all great. The staff was very nice and helpful. They let us sample anything we wanted, so we could pick the one we liked best. I was impressed with the beers, they were delicious. They have games at the tables and they are all so fun. Some of them were games I never even played before, so it was fun trying to figure them out while having awesome beer. The space is beautiful. It's decorated perfectly! I would recommend this place to anyone. I hope they have some good food trucks come this summer! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I don't really get the hype, but nothing bad to say about the place either, so not going to sit around and point out all the minor personal preferences that were not fulfilled. Not a huge selection of beers, but still some decent variety. I tried the current IPA and 2 Saisons. All 3 were light, fresh and clean. Nothing life changing though. I went out back to see this beautiful patio that that I had seen pics of online. The picnic tables were super cheap and flimsy. Not the most awesome views that Charlotte has to offer either. I'll come back and give them another shot. Had to check out the new kid on the block. It wasn't bad.

Yelp
Very cool place! The space is huge and has a very rustic look and vibe. I tried their Gose and saison and I can't wait to go back! Excited to have this place in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Hand down the best beer we've had in Charlotte. Decent sized indoor and outdoor space to hang with friends. All of the bartenders were super knowledgeable and friendly. You can order food from the noodle bar next door and they'll even deliver it to you! Can't wait to come back and try more beers. The blueberry cobbler and donut stout were our favorites.

Yelp
I'll be the first to admit, the addition of another brewery in Charlotte didn't excite me too much. There seems to be a brewery on every corner right now. I was so very pleased with my experience at Divine Barrel. The décor is gorgeous: industrial, exposed beams, greenery and bright--it was inviting to be there. They have a cute area with a couple of leather couches to really relax, plenty of bar seating and quite a few tables to sit at inside. BONUS they have a great patio as well! I was really excited to see how much space was actually offered. Let's talk about the beer. Lately I've struggled with a few local breweries to find a beer that I really enjoy. I'm not an IPA fan and that usually cuts my options down to the bare minimum. Divine Barrel had 7 brews on tap and guess what...they were all different styles! I tried the Petite Amie and loved it. I could have sipped on that all afternoon. We also tried the Situation Delicate and it was just as tasty. In addition to beer they offer wine on tap and by the bottle plus some local favorites like Lenny Boy Kombucha, Trade and Lore Nitro Coffee and both Red Clay and Goodroad Ciders. The service was really friendly--can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I visited Divine Barrel during their soft opening launch and was blown away immediately by the brewery's ability to deliver great customer service out of the gate. Typically with soft launches, it's a time to make mistakes in order for new hires to learn but that was not the case here. I ordered the Big Lubelski, a gratzer. It's low in ABV but wasn't bland, something you could drink during the summer months on what appears to be their patio once opened. We were briefed on each beer and was checked on often. My buddy ordered the Here I Gosegain. That was one heck of a Gose, probably one of the best I've had in a while! Wasn't too tart, a perfect balance of sweet and salty. The beers are priced really well $3-$6 pending on the pour. This is a very spacious space with some plenty seating. I could definitely see an outing here with the guys. Congrats on the opening, and cheers to a smooth opening. I will definitely be back! Two thumbs up over here.
