Divine Comedie

I rarely leave such negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was so disturbing that I feel obligated to warn others. The manager here was by far the most unprofessional and unpleasant person I’ve ever encountered in hospitality. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The manager was openly insulting, mocking my tattoos, verbally abusive, and even physically intimidating. After my stay I also discovered cash (1000$) missing from the room safe. I felt unsafe the entire time. Avoid this place at all costs — the management is toxic and your belongings are not secure. To be honest, the rooms themselves are pretty nice (although unclean) and the pool is big enough as well. It's a real shame the staff are so cruel, unkind and thiefs as well. CHOOSE ANOTHER RESORT!

A perfect ending to our island vacation! Great hotel, great staff, amazing attitude, good vibes. Small, quality hotel in a lovely area of the island. There are lots of cafes and restaurants in the area of the hotel, 7/11 within a 5-minute walk and a 10-minute taxi ride to the center. Stunning beach. Thanks for everything

Very basic hotel. The room was not clean and there wasn’t anyone at the reception when we arrived. The view to the ocean is nice and the mattress was comfortable. Would not recommend.

Had a great stay in Divine Comedie! The rooms were clean and had everything you need. The pool, bar and lead to the beach was so cool. Loved that. We got margaritas at the bar which were delicious. The location was decent, quiet area. Staff were always friendly, helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend to stay here. The only negative for us was that the bed in room 15 needs a new mattress.

The location of this place is great, just adjacent to a shallow beach with clear water. The resort itself is a bit run down. When you enter the resort there is no paved path inside just sand and mud right up to the pool. Our room in the first floor could only be accessed from outside the resort. The rooms are small, and it would have been alright, except for the bed. This is perched above the floor on a 20 inch high platform and the bed itself is a foot and a half above this platform. There are no cupboards to keep clothes. There is a small sit out with 2 chairs and table. The pool area is great and has lovely trees and infinity pool overlooking the sea. However if you swim with goggles on, you can see the grime on the walls of the pool underwater. We had breakfast there and it was really good. However, they charge an additional 3% if you pay by card.

Stayed for 3 nights was amazing very relaxing, our rooms were upgraded to a bungalow when we arrived, the rooms and garden area were always clean. Friendly staff and helpful at reception !!!

Loved our stay here. The pool area is the highlight, the staff are all friendly and the rooms are neat and tidy. The restaurant is good too, and it's in a nice location. Easy to rent a scooter and go around places. We loved our sun deck on top too. We would stay again.

really nice resort, amazing rooms, pool was nice. location is great with several restaurants around the corner (e.g. night market), nice small thai restaurants, 7eleven 6min walk.
