"For a Florida seafood experience that dates all the way back to 1937, you can't beat a stop at this original fish market in Fort Myers. The Dixie Fish Co. was once the delivery site for all manner of scallops, clams, snapper and oysters. Today, however, it’s a bustling restaurant, where people pack in for waterfront views, salty air, and fruits of the sea. Most nights, live music accompanies menu favorites like smoked fish dip, whole fried fish, calamari, and snapper fresh from the Gulf."

We had dinner here last night and to say it did not disappoint is an understatement. The fast and very friendly service from our hostess to our server made for a great evening. Our server even made sure our dog had water at the table. The meal itself was excellent. One can definitely tell you are getting fresh seafood which was prepared perfectly. My wife even gives her stamp of approval for their Key Lime pie. The live music and the water front views just capped a great night out

Went on a Friday night. Place was busy but sat at the bar with my wife and got served immediately. Scenery was great, bartender was awesome, and food was spectacular. Can't wait to go again!

First time eating at Dixie Fish Company! For an appetizer we shared the ceviche cocktail. For our main course, my husband ordered a whole deep fried yellow-tail snapper and I had the coconut crusted grouper cheek bites! Both meals were delicious! There was live music, our waitress was wonderful, and the atmosphere was fun! We will definitely be back and we highly recommend Dixie Fish Company!

Google
Great food in a brilliant waterfront location. We visited for lunch and had an appetiser of calamari which was a huge portion beautifully cooked and fresh. Thankfully we split this because it was a very large portion for around £10! We then had shrimp tacos and a lovely Cajun shrimp pasta - both were excellent. Fantastic selection of draft beer to choose from and most were around $5 a pint so again excellent value. Speedy and attentive service and I wish we were here longer as we would definitely go back.

Google
What a great "hidden gem"! Once you get past Bri, who really doesn't understand where you request to seat, the rest of this place makes up for the hard start. We tried the "Drink of the Day", a pineapple margarita, and it was awesome! Michelle suggested this while we waited for or table at the bar and had their fried calamari, it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. We ordered their fried whole fish that was super fresh and really tasty. We also had their spicy shrimp pasta, extremely unique and loaded with shrimp and sausage bits. Our server, Joe offered the key lime pie, but the entrées didn't leave us with any room, maybe next time. Do Not miss the opportunity to dine here, it's one of the best we've found on the West coast!

Google
We have always had great seafood at restaurants by the water, but Dixie Fish is right at the top. The Calamari was perfect, not overcooked. Tried the Grouper Cheeks for the very first time, it was absolutely awesome. We ordered the Yellow tail Snapper and Coconut Shrimp. The best we ever had. What made the experience over the top was our waiter Gus. His recommendations were spot on. Will drive down here all the way from Tampa in a heartbeat to enjoy the seafood again.

Google
A good friend brought me to this place, he said he is going here regularly and sometimes every day for a while. We had to wait for a while to sit even the bar but it was well worth the wait! I rarely write that much for a review. This was very tasty food for a fair price and served quickly. Amazing place!

Google
What a great hangout. On the water with good food and great bar. Sergio was a machine behind the bar, very nice, great conversation. Oysters on the half shell delicious. Get there around 5P , can get quite busy. Limited parking but you can find a spot near by. Smoked wings special is awesome.

Yelp
We first went here on an evening, but was told that the wait was 1.5 hr long. We ended up going to another place for dinner, but decided to come back another day for lunch. Glad we did, as it was absolutely fabulous. It's a small place, with plenty of waterfront seating. There's no a/c and while the fans are working hard, beware that if you come on a hot day it can be pretty warm inside. Our server Angelica is really an angel, she is so sweet and helpful with our order. This place offers grouper cheek bites. Many fish connoisseurs consider the cheek to be the tastiest part of the fish. We got ours seared, and it was indeed tender and flavorful. The pink shrimp salad is loaded with locally caught shrimp, and with its passion fruit dressing, is refreshing and perfect for a warm Florida day. The Yucatan Shrimp Taco is delicious as well. I can honestly say we enjoyed every single bite of our food! If you are ever in Ft Myers, do give this place a try, don't be turned away by the wait!

Yelp
What a super cute location right on the water just before heading to the beach (or right after)! It's a bit tricky to get here, so follow your Google maps... and the parking in front of the restaurant is very tiny and tight- but you can park around it as well and no problem. Anyway after we finally figured out how to get here... we noticed that this place was Popping!! All the locals love it too!! We were lucky to get one of the high tables in the middle to get some of the cool intracoastal views... and got our drinks ordered and promptly served while we waited for our fish and chips. My margarita was solid, very enjoyable, the service was super cordial fast and on point- and soon enough our main beer-battered and fried fish came along. Very fresh- nice sized portions! It came with fries or chips, your choice. Some of My fries seemed refried , so that was a tiny let down but the others were good and the fish was tender and moist... mmmmm it also came with Cole slaw that was very much to my liking as well. Well- we ate, we lingered as we finished our drinks and decided to let some other happy customers get a table because there is a line to get in (we got lucky!). Enjoy!!

Yelp
Parking in-front of the restaurant is very limited! Dixie fish co is a really cool spot right under the bridge. You have a great view of the water watching the boats pass. Our server was great with our 2 year old - at the end he gave him a treat (Oreos) it was so sweet. Our food came out quickly and it was delicious. My son got the kids mac and cheese (not pictured), I got the build your own seafood entree - mahi mahi coconut crusted - WOW so good!! And my husband got the lunch special which was the blackened grouper tacos - two was enough because they're stuffed! The smoked fish dip was really good!! Came with saltine crackers. We would come back and try more. Also with the kids meals, it comes on a frisbee and they get to take it home - really nice touch

Yelp
We drove nearly 2 hours to have lunch at Dixie Fish Co. and although we had to wait for 20 minutes to be seated, but it was well worth the wait. Our group ordered appetizer, whole crispy fried fish with sides, clam chowder, fish and chips, and fresh oysters. Everything was fresh, delicious and very satisfying! The portions are adequate, and the service was quick and friendly. I highly recommend Dixie Fish Co.,and look forward to going back to try their other dishes. This restaurant doesn't take reservations, so best to go during the off-hours to be seated right away.

Yelp
Support local. This place is fantastic. Beautiful views and a great atmosphere. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. I took the suggestion of our server and had the catch of the day, which was Tripletail. This was my first time having this fish, but not my last. Wow, it was fantastic!! Mild and not very fishy, the blackened seasoning was done to perfection. Matched with garlic potatoes this dish is something you should try.

Yelp
Came to the area to visit my newly retired mother and wanted to have dinner somewhere with a view, got on Yelp and found Doc Ford's. I had the whole fried snapper and it was delicious! Covered in a garlicky butter sauce with fresh steamed veggies and tiny red potatoes.

Yelp
Visited with my wife and some friends. Wanted a place with some good seafood and a quiet atmosphere to enjoy and talk. They had live music, which was acoustic and was very good. The place was packed for a Monday so we went to the bar for a drink. Got a table not too long after that. I will say I forgot to take pics of our food. Bit wife got the fish dinner, I got the coconut shrimp and our friend got the fish tacos. Great service, food was also very good. If I'm in the area again I will return. Was a great place to hang out and catch up with my friends.

Yelp
We took a drive down to Fort Myers beach and stopped at Dixie Fish Co for lunch. It is right on the water and has perfect views. You can sit outside or at a table inside. It has a shabby fish shack vibe that we loved. The hostess and servers were all very welcoming. They have a good menu and prices are pretty comparable to other restaurants in the area. I ordered the grouper sandwich and fries as my side. My husband chose the shrimp tacos auth red rice and beans. The food came pretty quickly. The portions were pretty big. My husband loved everything on his plate. And he knows a thing about fish tacos. My grouper sandwich was ok. I wish I hadn't asked for the fish to be fried. It was on the dry side, but still was tasty. The fries were delicious! I also had the Toasted Coconut Colada. That was amazing. All in all a good experience and we will go back.

Yelp
Hurricane Ian devastated Fort Myers Beach in late September, of 2022. With an 11-13 foot surge every business in the area was affected, and most had to be totally rebuilt. After six months Dixie was one of the first to reopen in February of 2023. Thirteen months later, I'm happy to report that they have returned as good, if not better, than before. The menu is not one that has a gazillion things on it, but what they do offer is excellent. My favorites have always been anything that has "grouper" and "blackened" in it. The Grouper Cheeks are delicious, as well as the blackened grouper tacos. This Easter Sunday lunch, I ordered their blackened grouper Reuben sandwich. It was delicious! The tender grouper was blackened perfectly and the Cole slaw was the perfect combination. Some of my other favorites are the smoked fish dip and the smoked chicken wings (only offered on Sundays and Wednesdays) - both excellent! Oh, and for dessert, don't miss their Key Lime Pie. Seriously, it's the best in S/W Florida - if not the entire State. Service is always served with a smile and pleasant conversation. All the employees are always helpful, friendly, and courteous. There's no better place to relax and enjoy the moment than sitting waterside enjoying the views of Matanzas Pass with the many boats and views that are available. If you haven't been here, you need to check this place out! You'll be glad you did.

Yelp
What a find! We're just in town overnight and wanted seafood in a casual atmosphere. This place is awesome in every way. Our server, Michele was great and the food was amazing.

Yelp
Food was high-quality, we got separate orders of tacos. Blackened mahi-mahi and the other was grouper. Both were excellent. The atmosphere is exactly what I would want to have when I'm at the beach , a shaded area overlooking the water, and a breeze as I enjoy great food. Dixie Fish Company did not disappoint. I would go back again definitely.

Yelp
We had some friends come in town for a wedding and we took them here to eat after a day on Captiva. This place does not disappoint!!! We got a corner table with a view and got to watch a full moon rise. I ordered mussels and smoked fish for appetizers. That mussel dish is something I could eat my weight in. Their bread and that sauce are to die for! The smoked fish is excellent and exceptionally served with capers, diced red onion, and lemon. We also got the Grouper Bites, which were fantastic. Everything was Delicious! I got the Yucatán Shrimp, and the rest got grilled or blackened fish. Everyone was happy and Josie was the best server, took great care of us!

Yelp
If you're seeking a waterfront dining experience that tantalizes your taste buds and delights your senses, look no further than Dixie Fish Company in Fort Myers. This charming seafood restaurant offers an idyllic setting with breathtaking ocean views that instantly transport you to a coastal oasis. We were greeted with warm smiles and promptly seated at a table that provided an unobstructed view of the sparkling water. Our waiter, Abel, was exceptional, offering friendly and attentive service that enhanced our overall dining experience. The menu boasts a tempting array of fresh seafood options, making it difficult to choose just one. We decided to start with the grilled grouper sandwich, a masterpiece of flavor and freshness. The grouper was cooked to perfection, flaky and moist, and complemented beautifully by the toasted bun and tangy tartar sauce. For the main course, we couldn't resist trying the whole snapper fish, a true highlight of our meal. It was expertly prepared, with crispy skin and tender, succulent flesh. The accompanying sides perfectly complemented the dish, creating a symphony of flavors that left us thoroughly satisfied. To round out our culinary adventure, we indulged in the classic fish and chips. The batter was light and crispy, and the fish itself was white and flaky. A generous portion of fries and a side of coleslaw completed this satisfying dish. Dixie Fish Company is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. With its stunning ocean views, exceptional service, and delectable seafood, it's no wonder this gem has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in Fort Myers.

Yelp
Drank a strawberry Margarita then started with clam chowder in a neat large deep coffee looking cup, excellent fish selection catch of day was Lane Snapper, rice, beans parsley potatoes and grilled garlic butter gulf grouper home chips & potatoes. Service, ambiance, parking & pricing were all good.

Yelp
Great service, super casual atmosphere. Nice live guitarist dining Buffet-esque songs. Great location overlooking the bay. Shrimp burger wasn't as fantastic as we'd remembered-definitely going the BLT w avocado next time. Flies annoying but staff is up to the job!

Yelp
We came here the first night in Fort Myers and after a very long travel day we were happy to find a place to eat that we didn't have to wait too long to get a table. We were greeted by friendly staff and had a seat at the bar while we waited for a table. The place was busy but it wasn't overly loud and there was live music the night we were there. I ordered a glass of the only Sauvignon Blanc on the menu and it was okay, not a lot of flavor to it. My husband order one of the local beers on tap and enjoyed it. We were seated within 15-20 minutes which wasn't bad for it being a Saturday night. I ordered the Fish and Chips and was a bit disappointed. They looked great when they came to the table but the batter was mushy and I ended up pealing most of it off and just eating the fish. The chips are their house made chips and they were okay, nothing I would go out of my way to order. If we come back to Fort Myers I would give the place another try because my husband really enjoyed his seafood boil.

Yelp
Came here for dinner. We sat at the bar as there was a 30 minute wait. Ordered a few drinks and then dinner. Garden salad was very good and good dressings. Mahi Mahi was extremely fresh and cooked very well. Chips, coleslaw, potatoes and zucchini were all great sides. Prices in line. Good service and really casual atmosphere.

Yelp
Heard that this place has the best food so we decided to try it. Since we weren't extremely hungry, hubby and I decided to just try the appetizers. He chose the moonshine mussels and I decided to sample the calamari. Our waiter told us the mussels were "amazing" but hubby (the mussels aficionado) disagrees. He said they were passable but nothing special unfortunately. My calamari were crispy on the outside but chewy and rubbery on the inside. The view of the boats and marina while the sun was going down made our dinner very enjoyable, and we both enjoyed a great drink - I had the Toasted Coconut (fancy pina colada) and hubby had Yuengling on draft. Unfortunately the food didn't live up to the hype others gave- just okay for us but not enough to make us return.

Yelp
The ambiance was great! A hidden treasure. Our waitress Ginger was amazing and informative. The food was fresh and delicious!

Yelp
Fun casual place on the water. They had live music and good food. It's a busy popular place. So even on a weekday out of season, we had to wait a little bit for a table who can complain when you're having drinks with friends on the water.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and try Dixie Fish Co. We were in town for the weekend and took the pups to Dog Beach. We wanted to find someplace local to eat to that we could take the pups and Dixie Fish Co did NOT disappoint We had oysters that were delicious. The fried grouper nuggets and fries were awesome for the kids. But the size and flavor of the BLTAE with shrimp and Shrimp burger were over the expectations. And the smoked wings were awesome. Only disappointed in not being able to order the fish spread but these things happen. The servers were attentive and friendly. Absolutely great experience

Yelp
We had a great meal, sitting at the bar, enjoying the water view. There was a singer/keyboard playing who was very good. Our grouper tacos and grouper fish and chips were really good. Our meal was topped off with a wonderful key lime pie. Our bartender, Rob, was friendly, attentive and provided good service.

Dominic L.

Yelp
Unfortunate visit to a usually fantastic restaurant. Me and my fiancée shared our fish and chips. 12 hours later, me and her are beginning our longest food poisoning adventure ever. 12 more hours, now present time, I've just mustered the gut strength to keep a couple saltine crackers down. Very unfortunate, we will probably not be coming back. While the restaurant typically isn't a 1 star experience, I'm rating it as such to hopefully reach the owner or management.

Yelp
Laid Back Vibes, Live Music and Amazing Food We visited the casual bar two nights in a row and were thoroughly impressed. FOOD: 5 stars MUST TRY their homemade recipes: The Yucatán tacos feature their signature citrus tang butter sauce with slight mild heat. Finish it and/or pair it with their homemade fresh toasted coconut frozen drink for a delightful treat, especially for dessert! Clam chowder was perfect and comforting but a cooler night but their crab sliders weren't memorable. VIEWS & SERVICE: 5 stars With its waterfront location, the bar offers a stunning view to complement the dining experience. It's worth noting that the neighboring restaurant "Docs" is also owned by the same proprietor, ensuring consistency and quality across both establishments. We sat once at the bar and the other at a table; both friendly service. Highly recommended for a memorable evening by the water.

Yelp
Excellent food. Excellent service (Mia). Nice atmosphere (been with all the Yankees around). My dad and I drove down from Tampa because I saw the restaurant on the Food Network. On the show, they cooked a fish whole. The dredged it then they deep fried it. I had to have it. My dad wanted the grouper fish and chips. It was a 2+ hour drive but it was definitely with it. Fantastic meal. You can't go wrong with what we had. We will go back. I usually like to check out more entrees from a place I like, but I'll probably stick with the deep fried snapper. Mmmmmm.

Yelp
What a cute place with amazing food and good service! We ordered the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and they were hot, fresh and delicious! We ordered the special of the day which was the Triple Tail and it was so good and buttery! Their red beans and rice and potatoes were also very good. I ordered the spicy mango margarita and it was so good and it gave me a good buzz. lol. So they don't go lightly on the alcohol. We will be back! Jessica was our waitress and she was good! Knew the menu. :)

Yelp
Amazing food & amazing people. Went 3 times during our trip, tried something different each time, & wow they did not disappoint. The food was amazing every time & our servers were incredibly friendly. Sitting ON the water, it has the island vibe we were looking for. They even have heaters running on the chillier days making it very comfortable. Will definitely be returning & getting more grouper bites soon!

Yelp
Yucatan shrimp (peel and eat) - (an insider told us about this as it's not on the menu). Fantastic! But very caution - the spice will make you cough (but that's not a bad thing). Would order again. 1/2 pound between us both was perfect. 4.25/5 Smokin' Mary - fun with all the add ons! Not as much flavor or punch as I would like but that could be a spillover from the shrimp sauce 3/5 BLTAE - Good but after the shrimp there was no flavor. Pro tip: dip it in the shrimp sauce and its amazing 3?/5 Mahi Mahi tacos - assuming they prepared them blackened like I ordered (hard to tell since it was so light) they were filling and gave you a lot of meat. Would order again eventually. 3.75/5 Toasted coconut colada - HOLY MOSES I've just hit the motherload! This is definitely THE best piña colada I've ever had!! It's made from scratch and now I want another...but I will say it's extremely filling. Great dessert. 10/5! Key Lime Pie - not bad but I'd call this as average. 3/5 Fantastic views and live music. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere. Given their history with hurricane Ian and how they had to rebuild makes the the place even more of a worthy destination! I would easily return again soon. I will order the grouper cheeks next time.

Yelp
Wow! What good luck--parking at 6 pm on a Friday! What good luck--a bar seat opened as we came in for the 4 of us! What tasty luck: appetizers: smoked fish dip delicious! (No crackers/chips). A lb of yummy shrimp & oysters on the half shell!! I had a toasted coconut colada (mmmm) & hubby had a beer. Friends had tea. I had the pick your own seafood shrimp "the Dixie Way with roasted potatoes & creamy coleslaw. All tasty! The shrimp was incredible! Hubby had catching the day (triple tail) Dixie Way with a salad & red beans & rice. He loved it. Friends had salads & one had shrimp tacos--beautiful & tasty! Other had blackened grouper with Dixie Way sauce & loved it. His collard greens were good, too. And the homemade key lime pie was incredible! A small piece for sure, but a tasty crust & limey filling was a great ending to the meal. We certainly enjoyed the live music & our waitress was super!! Portions aren't huge but a nice size!

Yelp
So I posted a really positive review a while back and I wanted to send an update. Long story short, you are insane if you don't go here to eat. Kid friendly, yummy food, unreal vibe. Go. Here. Right.

Yelp
Food was fresh and the ambiance was inviting. With all of the issues the area have seen it was promising to see a crowd here.

Yelp
We were on Sanibel Island in search of a real seafood joint. Spending a day on the beach had us craving seafood as fresh as the critters we were recently swimming with. A tricky search as the area remains affected by Hurricane Ian with a number of storefronts and restaurants only recently opening back up. Dixie Fish Co had rave reviews and the mention of a whole fried fish perks up the ears of my dad any day. A location on the marina felt promising and the menu was short and sweet with no attempt at a Caribbean flair we were hoping to avoid. We were seated a net fence away from more seawater and were entertained by boats driving past while we ordered. We ordered margaritas, a fried fish, a calamari appetizer, and a fried shrimp platter. The fish a yellow tail snapper (occasionally a hogfish per the waitress) was glorious from the presentation as it stood tall on its belly and the batter, unsoggy, covered in flavor and fresh. The calamari appetizer did not skimp with a full basket and cooked to perfection, crisp and tender. The shrimp basket requested with cornmeal batter, fries, and coleslaw had some of the largest shrimp I've ever seen at a restaurant. Large beautiful shrimp cooked perfectly and almost 3 bites each. The coleslaw tasted fresh and light without an excess of mayo or additional seasonings. French fries came lightly seasoned. The clam chowder wasn't the greatest. Unfortunately, made heavy and thick by the use of blended potatoes and not cream to keep it lighter. Key lime pie, while house-made, lacked the necessary tanginess of a good one. Overly sweet without the tartness associated to the lime. Our waitress was kind, both times seeing as we couldn't resist a second visit before our trip was over. The only downside was their credit card machine was down making us write our CC information down for the promise of shredding after. It appeared to be a regular issue seeing as they had a branded sheet for processing that request on hand. Might be related to their location. This fried fish was a memorable one for my family, and we've had a number of them. Check out their video from Tyler Florence visiting them a few years ago (there's a QR code at the table), the technique remains the same and we'll be talking about it the next time.

Yelp
Good place with live music and a water view, beach vibes with fresh fish and tropical cocktails, all you need after a day at the beach. The waiting time was shorter than what the hostess said, our server was ok a little rushed on her service but just ok. This place is always full but the fish is fresh and good. I try the whole snapper fried with some zucchini and rice and beens delicious, the colada cocktail was amazing too. Not too many options on desserts but it's ok. They have a couple parking spots and the place is always busy with a lot of local people.

Yelp
Great food a cool building and location on the water. Highly recommend and will go back next time when we are in town.

Yelp
Dixie was recommended by 2 locals, thank you ladies! And, we can see why this place is a hit! The day we were here had perfect weather: warm yet cool, sunny but not hot, on the small harbor, and the food was good. Our waiter was a seasoned professional - he had all the moves and phrases. Our beverages came out quite quickly (see pic, please note the background view). What we saw was an open walled restaurant with great harbor views; the warm breeze was quite welcoming. We enjoyed seeing the harbor dolphins and the boats going by. Get here early, this place has been discovered. We shared the Mahi Mahi, served The Dixie Way, and the Yucatan Tacos. The Mahi Mahi was cooked perfectly: tender and flaky. And, BTW, The Dixie Way is garlic butter - those are chunks of garlic on the fish in the pic. But don't worry it's not over powering. But the accompanying red beans and rice where okay, yet a bit under flavored. The Yucatan Tacos were all about the sauce. The shrimp were cooked quite well and the tortilla shells held up well, but the sauce was great. It had a bit of heat and kick, but not too much. I actually used my fork to get all the tasty bits and pieces at the bottom of the sauce cup to get every bit of goodness. This sauce was combo of some soy, some heat, a bunch of garlic and a bit of richness. Beside the tacos you are seeing the homemade chips; these were also quite crisp, fresh and tasty. When in town, we'll be back.

Yelp
Friday evening 1/26 - We called to find out how long the wait was and told about 1.5 hours. There is no putting your name on the list ahead of time so we arrived and went to put our name in. Surprise there is a long bar with seating on each side and there was a spot for two. We were seated right away. We both ordered bottled waters due to the water taste from another restaurant earlier today. Appetizer was gator bites which were really good. I ordered the whole fried fish which I thought was always yellowtail snapper but after reading the menu it was the catch of the day. I asked someone walking by and was told it was the yellowtail snapper. My fish was amazing. First time eating a whole fish and enjoyed every bite. Perfect with the Docs Chipotle hot sauce! This would be easy for sharing as well as the sections of fish easily come apart. 9 out of 10 My friend ordered the fish tacos which were not so great. She said her shrimp was chewy. I tried one and told her they were over cooked. I mentioned to the server and he replaced her tacos with/ grouper tacos and she happily took those to go. We had great service. He was very attentive! Maybe Chris? There was live music playing and it seemed as though everyone there was enjoying themselves. I would definitely recommend and would return!

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place. The food was fresh and tasty. I had mussels and grouper bites. The mussels were included andouille sausage and was served with garlic bread. Good stuff. Others in our party had stone crab-delicious, chicken sandwiches and a grouper sandwich. All of those were equally as tasty. We boated over and boat parking was busy (one out, one in), but we managed. The ambiance was great, the food came quickly, as did the drinks, and Joe, our server was on it. I love Doc Fords next door when we come out to Florida, but now we have this option as well (they are owned by the same entity). Overall, great food, reasonably priced, cool location, terrific service.

Yelp
Phenomenonal experience! Great food and amazing service. It's a small parking lot but we were able to snag a spot right in front. They said there was a small wait but we decided to go with bar seating for our party of 4. We were served right away despite the place being busy. Fantastic drinks to start. I ordered the grouper Ruben without cheese and they accidentally brought it out with cheese but the manager corrected it right away and was kind and apologetic. He even comped our drinks! We got the Ruben, the shrimp burger, and the crab sliders and we would get it all again Highly recommend and will always come back. TLDR: get the Ruben and service rocked!

Yelp
We always make a stop here when we're in Fort Myers. The food is good and we like sitting by the water. Give it a try!

Yelp
I always love this place. The food and the service is the bomb. And looking over the back bay is the best scenery.

Yelp
Down here for a conference and looked for affordable waterfront dining. We found it here however parking was a chore but worth it. Our server Kevin was busy but took care of us. Food was better than i thought it would be. Outside seating on the water we saw dolphins frolicking in the water amongst nice nautical feel surroundings.

Yelp
Great service, awesome food, and amazing ambiance. The whole fried fish was good for 3 people. Grouper bites were delish. Mango margarita w/ ghost pepper was refreshing. Shrimp ceviche hits the spot. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
I stopped by here a couple of Saturdays ago with my family for lunch. We were on Ft Myers Beach for the morning and looking for a place to eat on the way home whenever my wife found Dixie Fish Company. It's located just across the bridge from Estero Island on Mantazas Harbor. This restaurant is open air with a number of the seats overlooking the harbor where you can watch shrimping and pleasure boats drive by. They also have a bar with a number of TVs if that is what you are interested in too. For lunch on this day I decided to start by splitting the fried green tomatoes with my wife and then went with the blackened chicken sandwich with fries for my entree. My wife ordered the pink shrimp salad while our kids got chicken tenders with tomatoes and zucchini. Our fried green tomatoes came out first and were absolutely delicious. They were perfectly fried in cornmeal coating with just enough seasoning while the inside was juicy and had a nice acidity to it. Even both of my twins liked whenever we dipped it into the ranch like (remoulade) sauce. Right after we had finished with the appetizer my sandwich came out and was plated nicely. I enjoyed the blackening seasoning but thought it a bit light. Thankfully the table had multiple hot sauces on it and I used those to make the sandwich a little more to my liking. What was odd about the sandwich is that the top bun felt toasted, which made sense, while the bottom one did not. My fries here were also good as they were super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. All of the food that we had here was good, especially those fried green tomatoes, and we loved the view as well.

Yelp
Excellent Waterfront Seafood Dining! We've visited Dixie many times. Located under the bridge to Ft. Myers Beach, this waterfront eatery is a fun place to visit. Hurricane Ian pretty much destroyed the whole place, but they rebuilt and it's just like before, maybe better. Whether you go in daylight or when dark, the waterfront views are great and boats passing by all wave to diners. There's live music just about every night. On our most recent visit we had the Fried Calamari ($13.95). A light coating, fried just long enough to be crispy without overcooking the squid. Our real favorite is the Mussels ($14.95). They are cooked in a broth made with apple moonshine, white wine, butter, fennel, onions, grape tomatoes, loads of garlic and chorizo, served in a large bowl with two ample pieces of buttery garlic bread. The large portion can easily be shared by two or three. I have had it by myself for dinner. Once you break the mussel loose from its shell, scoop up some of the broth and slurp it all down right from the shell. Incredible flavor and it's just a fun way to eat. If you run out of mussels, use the shells or any remaining garlic bread to finish up the remaining broth. Yummo! We ended this visit sharing a wedge of their Homemade Key Lime Pie ($8.95). Limey, tangy, custardy goodness atop a nutty crust. On other visits we have tried the Peel and Eat Shrimp which comes either steamed and hot, or cold. They are delicious either way and a pound is perfect for two diners. They have a large bar with many beers on tap and excellent tropical drink specialties served by friendly and attentive bartenders. Stop in and enjoy!
