Dizzy Lizzie's Beach House (Hotel & Restaurant)

we stopped here to eat & enjoy the view at the ocean . yummy, fresh pineapple juice & really fair sized & garlic loving vegetarian wrap ! 🥙 we got professionally robbed on the OTHER SIDE OF THE BEACH just before (don't go there/don't fall into their trap, please) & at Lizzie's we encountered very, very friendly & supportive staff ! we're still in ghana, so don't expect running water but definitely vibes & good nurishment 🇬🇭 medasi

i came to this place shortly after christmas last year and was warmly welcomed from lizzy and her staff from the first minute. we managed together to get my camper into parking at the side to the restaurant. i actually wanted to stay there only 2 nights but i got in contact with the lovely rastafari people which are also mostly friends of lizzy and so i extended my stay from day to day. i could use shower and toilet in a room. i was not moving away from that place the whole days because of the wonderful atmosphere. i had breakfast in the morning on the veranda in a cooling breeze until one by one people came in and we started talking and moving by the music. it was a great moment for me to watch the people at the beach and how they enjoy life. i had so good food from the restaurant that i was eating more than usual. with lizzy i had long interesting conversations and we laughed a lot. she’s running the place since 15 years now and one can see that it was built up with lots of personal engagement. the rooms are lovely and clean and there are more to come. she adopted two lovely kids and i could see how much love they give each other. her staff was so kind to me and took care all day long. i really felt home and if i not had a appointment with a friend in benin i would have spend more time there. all in all i can say within all the years of traveling throughout africa this is/was one of the nicest and welcoming places i’ve ever experienced. i hope i can come back one day. i came as a customer and left as a friend. all the best for you lizzy ❤️ the kids and your staff, especially grace and joe and nameless others. not to forget the DJ with his wonderful music.

Do not go here. Before i tell you about my personal experience the tuna pasta was literally dry pasta with a can of tuna on top. Nothing was nice not even the wine. We ended up spending 2-2,5k here and were with a group of 15. Besides that there was no one else in the restaurant. We had to wait 3 hours for the food. By then most of my guests had left. Everyone was really hungry and it was 11pm. We had been eating at restaurants for a week now and the longest wait for fresh food was about an hour. When everyone had left and no one had eaten i decided to pay and call it a day. They didn’t accept card. I was here on business so when they said we can do paypal and i said sure send me the link and it can be paid tomorrow when my company is awake, she started getting mad at me that she doesn’t trust me and i have to pay now. She was horrible from the beginning by starting the night telling me and my colleague she “owned” the rastafaris playing music for us. Coming from an old white British lady while we went to the assin manso slave river that afternoon upset us. Meanwhile we paid full price and everything was horrible. This lady doesn’t deserve your money please give it to someone local

Great vibes and atmosphere, we had a great spot overlooking the beach watching everyone have fun in the sun ☀️ We got some fresh coconuts 🥥 and fresh light snacks… “They don’t do fast food here, they do fresh food!” As the sign so comically informed us - well worth the wait!

Dizzy lizzies is a must go to! The food is wonderful, the music in the evenings and karaoke on a Thursday brings the best atmosphere. The staff are lovely and always go the extra mile. That all paired with the perfect location right on the beach means you’re guaranteed a great visit.

🚫Worst-case🚫 ⚠️Summary: Not worth the price. Go elsewhere.⚠️ Received pineapple juice and coconut 30 minutes after ordering. Barely received food an hour later. I almost starved to death. They don't allow outside food, but if you don't bring in outside food, you will die. Worst of all, I ordered a steak, and it came out tougher than a tyre, no juicy and dry, and it was even cold. They confidently put up a sign saying that their food was not fast food and to be patient. I'm sure my dog can cook faster and better than this. If you want to order lunch and get dinner, this is the place to go 😄

The food was quite nice. But waiting for 1 hour and 50 minutes for baguette is way too long. And to hear after that time that they forgot about the ordered crepe and that it was finished was not a nice experience. It was not even a busy day.
