How the traditional tonic of jamu is being reinvented in Bali - SilverKris

"Founded by Ubud-based raw food chef Arif Springs, this trendy jamu juicery focuses on preserving Indonesia’s ancient plant-based healing tradition by producing freshly made jamu tonics, juices and concentrated power shots. It blends time-honoured herbs and spices—long used for beauty and health—with modern ingredients and techniques, promoting jamu's historical and health-giving properties." - Theodora Sutcliffe

Seriously the best jamu drink I've had! Infused with coconut water with no sugar added. 1 bottle lasts me for 3days consumption. It has this tingling sensation. This is a must buy if you are in Ubud. I bought some spice powder such as black turmeric, Javanese cinnamon. Shop accepts card payment as well.

Bought Provus Megamass protein powder 1.3 kg yesterday. It was 595k. Checked online, it's 189k! I understand a shop having higher prices than online but 3 times is totally unreasonable. Thankfully, I did not buy Creatine which was 345k for 120g and 4 hundred something for 300g (already weird pricing). There was a sticker of 85k on the 120g creatine so I took it to the counter. During checkout, the price came to 345k! I pointed that out and she said, that must be the supplier price! Well, you realize you've marked it up by 327%! She then said, that's what's in the system, I just work here. Okay! I don't know about other products but the protein powders, creatine etc are priced more than 3 times the online price. So better buy online.

Was looking through the reviews and saw what imo is a disingenuous review about the lion’s mane powder. I bought some of their lion’s mane and it’s much better than lion’s mane I’ve gotten in the US. It has no sugar as opposed to what that person claimed. It’s darker than most lions mane, which may be normal oxidation, but also because most other lions mane is full of fillers like rice or oats which would make it lighter in color. That also explains why their labeling includes a whole carb for a single teaspoon, which actually is sugar. In the US, I’ve had to pay hundreds for mycelium lion’s mane of this quality and it took some effort to find it. Plan to stock up on this when I’m back in Bali.
