DJH Hostel Heidelberg International

Great for families or groups, for schools or business. Kind of spartan, minimal in comfort, but well maintained. Good value for money. Super dedicated staff, very accommodating, very friendly.

The rooms were to small. There was not a great amount of food you could choose. The hallway was too long. The light in the toilet didn´t work so we had to shit in the dark. Overall not recommended.

I have had an exceptional stay at DJH Heidelberg. The room was tidy and clean, the value is exceptional and it has a bus stop right outside for when you need to travel into town. The staff were all wonderful even though I do not speak German very well. I enjoyed the breakfasts, there is not much that you can expect when the value is so good, but I always found it enough to give me energy for a full day of exploring. I wasn’t there myself, but my 13 year old kid was an he said it was terrible. Especially the food. The Bread Rolls were great though. There were no towels provided even though they were told there were towels. All the kids had to use clothes to dry off after showering.

There were some small spiders. The breakfast is very good. The location is good as well. Some staff were helpful, and others were just weird.

The rooms are clean in general. The space is quite big for events and their breakfast, lunch and dinners have a great selection. It is a bit far away from any type of store as the closest supermarket is a 20 min walk, it the zoo is next to it and you can see some of the animals from the hostel. ❤️

Highest value for money I have been to in years...perhaps ever

A beautiful place near the river. Very clean and everything was nice and cozy. However the building has little to no windows so the atmosphere inside is a bit heavy on some areas and it definitely gets too hot on summer.
