DJH Youth Hostel Frankfurt

Great position just across the river and 5 minutes walk to Römer-Dom and nice view. That is a plus. Good breakfast with good selection. It is a big and very basic hostel. I booked a single room, paying an amount comparable to a **/'*** hotel, so I expected a better treatment than in the shared rooms: towels were very poor quality, extremely small and broken in many part, cleanliness in the room not appropriate (lot of dust under the bed), no soap available in the private bathroom (not expecting shampoo etc, but at least an hand soap dispenser), quite noisy in the corridors and from the other rooms. The price payed for a single room is not worth what you get.

The rooms are clean, I appreciate that there is a separate shower for the rooms, as opposed to having just one shared for the entire floor in other hostels. The lockers are spacious, I could easily store all my stuff there. The location is just perfect. Beware though, the rooms don't have air conditioning.

It's a youth Hostel and as such it is a good one. The location is central to Frankfurt - the cathedral, Römer, Museums are all within walking distance. I loved strolling through the city around 10 pm and again the next morning around 8 am. The sleeping arrangement was 5 folks in a room with shower and toilet in the room. Lockers for luggage - bring your own lock. Flexible bed times with everyone moving quietly to let fellow roommates sleep. There was a small commons room at each floor and very good free wifi. Breakfast was delicious: All you can eat. Fresh rolls. yogurts, cheese, sausage, boiled eggs, tomato, cucumber. It was very unfortunate that a few guests violated the honor code and loaded their bags with free food and not just a sandwich for later but Tupperware full of food. That was a bit disappointing and I wish the hostel were to remind people of the honor code.

Places is on front of the river. Was comfy and really good place. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

I have been staying in this hostel since 1988 at alternate years. Its a fantastic experience Excellent stay that words can’t explain The staff is so very cooperative God bless them always 🙏🌹Management should request the concerned authorities to restart Bus service 🙂

What is this?! Rude staff, rooms that are built like legos, no air conditioning the beds feel like rocks, doors and lights that work on sensors that barely work, no soup, small and bad quality towels. I will not recommend for anyone to sleep in this "hostel". Even tho the price is low it's totally worth it to pay a bit more for a much better experience. A total waste of money especially when yoy can walk 10 min and find a hotels that are 5× better for like 50€ more.

For being a hostel is pretty good. The rooms forniture are a bit old and you need to bring your own locker. Everything is very clean and they have a good free breakfast. The food at lunch/dinner is not great. Also the location is perfect, close to the center and with a nice view of the river!

The rooms are very tidy. The showers and the toilets are cleaned thoroughly. The people can be noisy and inconsiderate of others. Other than that, it's an amazing place to stay. A heaven for backpackers.
