A wonderful place to stay in Garmisch. Great value. Staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Great value buffet breakfast and buffet dinner, perfect if you are burning calories on the mountains. Also a packed lunch available for a small charge. Rooms clean and comfortable. Five stars, would definitely come back.

I don't recommend it, never again. - customer service - no interest to help - parking (less parking spaces than rooms) - food quality - like hospital food - smell in the room - high price accommodation compared to quality reply to your reply: Hello, if you accept the critique or not, that's your business. This is my review after the experience of staying in your hotel for other visitors. I will be happy to explain more about what I was unhappy with. Yes, I came with a group from the Czech Republic, but I would strongly disassociate myself on associating with this group. I was in my room in the evening, did not drink alcohol and had nothing to do with disturbing the peace. What specifically was I not associated with? 1)The week before I visited your hotel I had surgery on my leg and arrived with canes. My question to the reception if I could get a room with a shower inside was coldly answered that it was not possible, that I should switch with someone, that it was my problem. 2)When I stopped my car near the entrance (there was no space - not enough parking spaces), the receptionist was very unpleasant and told me to park in the public parking lot a piece away from the hotel. 3)The food is a very subjective feeling but I just didn't like it, it was very tasteless. Does this sound okay to you for 5 stars? I was very angry!

One of the best places they we have been with the family. The staff is so polite. They have helped us with a lot with information and navigation. The one thing that we didn't like is the food there. A little variety for the breakfast buffet. But other than that, we will be there again.

Amazing service. The cook was über friendly prepared lunch and dinner menus for all types of clients- lactose- free, vegetarian, gluten-free, eggless. Breakfast and dinner menus were very delicious. We stayed with a Sindelfingen school class 6 excursion for 4 days. The employees at the front desk, the cleaning ladies' team were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Especially, when a child in wheelchair and crutches was there, personal elevator service was always available. The natural environment surrounding the youth hostel was fabulous. You could hear the creek flow, the amazingly fresh air did wonders for our skin😃. Every morning you see the beautiful mountains and have an amazing view of the nature. One star less- the bathroom in room 213 had mold in the shower area. Besides that, remember to bring in ur own hand washing soap. Atleast, for this excursion it was not included 😃. Beds were clean, beddings were spotless and clean too. The pillows and blankets were good quality.

Pretty pleasant stay. Extensive facilities; there is a volleyball court, a basketball hoop, playground for children, common area with chairs, etc. The rooms are quiet nice and clean. They offer breakfast and cheap beer and snacks. I think the place is perfect for families.

I stayed at this youth hostel in the month of October 2009. The reception by Mr. Thomas was cordial, warm who took us thru easy check-in process and guided about the facility and getting in and around. The hostel is spotless, youth friendly, economical. The breakfast offered in the morning was great and kept us thru whole afternoon until we reached the top of Zugspitze the next day. Enjoying Weiss beer was one of the memorable experience.||||For first time non-german speaking visitors, the places is a bit difficult to find.would be good idea to check-in before the sunset and carry a smart phone with google maps.||||there is this authentic italian pizza house just across the main street from the youth hostel.

We stayed 2 nights. The facility and amenities are basic but good. The breakfast is decent. The cost seemed great to us hostel newbies, but because we had never stayed at a hostel before we didn't know that the additional 45€ Fees would be added when we paid. Made our hostel more expensive than our Munich hotel the following 2 nights. I understand the Hostel is part of a club and they have fees. I only think it would be nice if on the website when booking (We used booking.com) they would tell you before confirmation that additional club fees may be charged upon arrival. Simply something to let you know that you are staying at a Club facility and you may need to pay more.

We, group of 4, stayed here in October-2009. The reception by Mr. Thomas here was warm and he provided all help in getting around. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The bar service and morning breakfast has left us with good memories. There is quite good hotel across the main road from hostel - if you are looking for good pizzas and beer. Overall its one of the best place for budget traveller to Garmisch.
