DJH Youth Hostel Nuremberg

We stayed here as a family and found it to be a great place. Excitingly, our room was situated in the tower with fantastic views over the old city centre. The room was clean and well-thought out and constructed (no wobbly bunkbeds or missing lamps). The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hostel is actually in a castle and is centrally located but still quiet at night. I'd happily stay there again.

Worst service ever. I had a toilet emergency. When I politely asked the lady at the desk she replied in typical german "friendlyness" that "zis is a hotel not a public toilet!!!". I explained that it was an emergency and that I was quite willing to pay any price. Still she would not budge. A restraunt not 200 meters away was kind enough to let me use their toilet. In short: if you expect service and common human decancy, just dont go here.

It made me feel as if I was in an anime. the location is very nice. There are things to see next to the hotel with walking areas. The room is not very small, with 6 beds, 2, 2 bunk beds, a table, 2 chairs, and a light next to the bed. There is no soap and shampoo. There is a locker to leave your luggage. Because Locker has a small key, you can lock it and take the key to get out. A perfect place to sit and chill in the evening on the roof of the neighboring castellan. Breakfast buffet style. Coffee, tea, fruit juice, cereal, cheese, bread, ham, yogurt, fruit, some cookies, eggs etc. Clean, cozy, recommended

Up a hill, but nice location for visiting the castle, I was put in a 2 person dorm, it was very nice aside from the heat as there are no fans or air conditioning, we had to sleep with an open window and got some bugs in the room, food was very good, had dinner and breakfast at the hostel

Just next to the famous Imperial Castle of Nuremberg. Stunning view from there. The hostel is quite luxurious as a "hostel". Not the best castle experience in Germany but it is definitely a good one. The breakfast is included and they offer quite a lot of food choices. Coffees are good and they also offer free sparkling water and still water. Rooms is warm enough even in cold winter. It can be noisy at night if other visitors talk in the corridor.

the hostel was nice it has big comfy rooms. it is warm in winter. when you are waiting for check-in, you can get free tea and sparkling water. it has a big castle next to it. And the rooms are not sound proff. and rooms smells a bit like cigarettes.

We stayed at this youth hostel for 2 nights as a family of 3 during the Christmas period. The location is very good, you can reach the big New Year's market in a very short time. My daughter really liked sleeping in the bunk beds and staying in the castle. The system is a little different; you put on and take off your sheets by yourself and throw them into the laundry room when you leave. There is no hair dryer, shampoo, soap, water etc. in the room. If you need it, bring the with you when you’re coming. Keeping in mind that it is a youth hotel, if you do not come with hotel expectations, it is very enjoyable to stay ☺️

Clean and cozy. Walking distance to the Christmas Market. Couldn’t be better.
