Đurđevića Tara Bridge

Great views. Do not take road to/from Mojcovac , ROAD IS CLOSED for bridge construction! No detour! about 30km from Tara bridge. Google doesn’t let road update in Montenegro. October 13th 2025

Bridge from faraway is nice to see but crossing over I don't know... The condition of the bridge is not so good specially the railing not so safe for children... By car though is good and fast and you can reach the other side fast and explore... It's also possible to hike down to the river... Enjoy!

I arrived by bus, lulled by winding roads and pine-scented breezes, and stepped off into a scene that felt straight out of a Montenegrin fairytale. The Đurđevića Tara Bridge arches gracefully over one of Europe’s deepest canyons, offering views that make your heart pause mid-beat. Before crossing, I munched on wild plums picked fresh from the roadside—tart, sun-warmed, and unexpectedly poetic. It felt like nature’s welcome snack. The bridge itself is a marvel of 1940s engineering, but it’s the surrounding drama that steals the show: the turquoise Tara River slicing through cliffs, zipliners zipping overhead like dragonflies, and the occasional hawker selling honey or rakija with a wink. 🚌 Bus access is smooth, though timing matters—early morning or late afternoon gives you golden light and fewer crowds. And if you’re botanically inclined, keep an eye out for rose hips and wild herbs along the trails.

We arrived with our group to Đurđevića Tara Bridge and decided to have a quick stop for drinks and toilet at Motel Tara MB. After that we headed to a store with local stuff at the Parking. The seller boy was not much helpful but did he best. We purchased several drinks there and left happy with the purchase))

This is must if you visit Montenegro, the zipline is nice and very comfortable, you won’t scream trust me :) the Rafting was so lovely and in summer the water was cool.. so fun, take water with you and swimming clothes, there’re breaks where you can jump and swim.. it cost me 85 € for both rafting and zipline 💓the view from the bridge upside is amazing

Incredibly and unbelievable beautiful views! The long road is worth it to see it. The only downside is that during the tour they gave us a very little time to walk around here

Đurđevića Tara Bridge: The Grand Finale of Our Durmitor Adventure! 🌉🌅 To conclude our Durmitor adventure last year, we visited the magnificent Đurđevića Tara Bridge. This bridge offers truly breathtaking views of the Tara River Canyon, often cited as the deepest in Europe! Seeing the canyon illuminated by the setting sun was an absolutely stunning experience. You can easily park right by the cafes and restaurants near the bridge, which is very convenient. While there isn't a direct toll for crossing the bridge, you might encounter fees for parking in designated areas. It's a spectacular sight and a perfect way to end a journey through this beautiful part of Montenegro.
