The price is a bit high compared to the quality, but not bad. Need to be a little more friendly with the guests (everyone in the hotel seems to be worried about North Korea and America relations), 999 channels on the TV but not one worth watching (low quality). They can fix them if they want. But neither bad nor good. I want to like them. Best Wishes.

Hotel DK International is a budget hotel located on Marquis Street in the Esplanade area of Kolkata, West Bengal. This hotel offers basic amenities suitable for short stays, including room service, luggage storage, laundry facilities, and free Wi-Fi. Although there is no on-site restaurant, guests can enjoy room service, and the hotel is surrounded by many dining options and shops. This hotel is conveniently located near several Kolkata attractions, including the Victoria Memorial, New Market, and Park Street. However, reviews are mixed. Guests generally appreciate the prime location but note that service quality can vary and the facilities are quite basic for the price range. Rooms are standard, with essentials provided, though some guests feel that rates may be a bit high relative to the amenities offered. Check-in begins at 12:00 PM, with check-out by 12:00 PM. For travelers looking for a central location with basic accommodations, Hotel DK International may be a convenient option.

Marquis street is famous for low price hotel. DK is one of them. One can stay here. Very near to new market and Dhaka Kolkata Bus stand. There are many tourists spots nearby this place. Many markets and street food is also available. Local bus and esplanade metro station is also very near.

Hotel service isn't good at all. Hotel management people behave very rude. Although,we booked the room earlier in online, but when we come we see they give the room anyone else. It's very disappointed. When we spoken about this, they treat us badly. Ever they said that if we don't like we can leave. But at last they give us our room . Actually it wasn't expected from the hotel .I must say they are food quality is good .

They r very good I must say. It’s my first visit to Kolkata, and staying for the second time in this hotel. In between I went to delhi and had a very bad experience there. Compared to that and the money I’m paying, it’s the best and convenient hotel around. I must mention that there food is really tasty, though the price is a bit higher. But once you eat, you will be satisfied paying. The washroom is pretty good. The best one is in room 108, if you can get the room. Happy journey.

i stayed at this hotel with family on February, 2015. The room i was given was clean and large enough. the bathroom was spacious and clean. they have an in-house restaurant. the food was good and tasty. the staff were friendly. the guys at the reception were also co-operative. they accepted my reservation of room by phone , while many other hotels in Marquise street did not. they were also good enough to allow me 2hours late check-out.||||The bad things about this hotel is its service. Service quality is not that good. when i checked in my bathroom geezer was not working. and the AC remote was no where to be found in the room. i had to wait till night to get someone to fix the geezer. and after repeated complaining got an AC remote. i had to call over and over to get room service or a boy to come to the room. The room tariff was also too high. They charged me 2500 + 300 for an extra bedding/ night. total 2800/ per room/night. which i thing is over priced.||||The best thing of the hotel is its location. Marquis street is a very good location for tourist. because you get everything there. for example - money exchange, travel agent, train/plain/bus ticketing, Food, mobile sim cards, shopping . and taxis, cabs are always available here starting from early in the morning till late at night. so the location is very tourist friendly.

I visited this hotel in 2014 and I already have a review for that. This year I visited this hotel in November, just because I thought it would save me some money. But the lesson I learnt is, I should never come back to this hotel specially if I have my family with me. In my previous review I mentioned some good points about this hotel, they still hold true like location, price etc. But this time, I believe the service quality of this hotel has been deteriorated more. And seems like the management has no idea what to do with those. For example, we got a bed where the linen and pillow cover were not changed after he last guest checked-out. We found hair on the pillow and the pillow covers were wrinkled. The blanket they provided, trust me, it looked like they purchased those from some homeless beggars in Kolkata. The whole room was indicating that either they do not clean it properly or they do not know how to clean a room. The floor-mat that they provided in front of the bathroom was so dirty that we could not put our feet on that. The staffs are all cunning and only tend to work if you pay them as if they are not getting paid by the hotel. While we were returning to Airport at the morning, 4 to 5 staffs came out to help with our luggage that we already managed to bring from hotel rooms to the car, but they were so eager to get tips that we did not stop them. And while we paid some tips, one of the hotel boys openly started commenting about the amount we paid in a bad manner. Overall, I am not coming back to this hotel again, even if someone offers me it free to stay.

I happened to stay in this hotel on my solo trip to Kolkata. All the staffs including the reception were cordial and helpful. If you concentrate on shopping/sightseeing and do not bother about the luxuries in your room, it's a quite good choice. You can not complain about the amenities as long as you consider the amount you pay for the stay. Though the hotel is quite old, the room was quite clean. This hotel has mixed review here, but for my case, the service was up to my expectations. I had worse experiences in other places I stayed with my family on my later trips
