I booked this hotel for 9 days. I changed room from small room on 1st day to suite because first room too small, but suite was very large with beautiful view. Suite decorated in soviet Era Victorian design, very pleasant atmosphere. Staff very accommodating and I was able to communicate in English well. Cleaned room everyday with much professionalism. Breakfast and service was very good. Here on business and I sometimes leave money and multiple phones and equipment around and hotel staff is ALWAYS trustworthy. As an American who doesn't speak Ukrainian, This hotel treated me very good.

This is an older hotel built during the Soviet era, but it has a lot of charm and character and sense of history. The location is fantastic - it's near everything or close to it, and about the best you can get for a very modest price in this part of the city. I found the staff pleasant. But the breakfast buffet upstairs is the real gem. Very classy 4 star dining room, excellent food, and lots of variety. It was truly unexpected and incredible. This would be a perfect place to stay for someone not needing Hilton-like accommodations and service, but a clean and decent hotel at a very modest price that is located within walking distance of several major Kiev monuments and historical sites. A plethora of nice dining venues are steps away from the hotel. I felt quite safe around the hotel, more so than in my own city of Atlanta. It is located in a very clean and modern area of Kiev, and just down the street from the Hilton, so it's in a nice part of town.

Helpful staff, clean apartments. Breakfast is super nice. However, some rooms have view on abandoned and destroyed building. Interior is ok, but not fancy. Hotel advertises a strip club located inside it, I understand that business is a business, but some people will feel uncomfortable about that. I recommend this place if you need an access to the city center and good service.

This hotel does not match modern standards at all. I’m a real person telling a stranger not to stay here. Everything is negative about the hotel. The beds will give you back issues. It’s so incredibly low to the ground that your body will touch the floor when you attempt to sleep. The tv is from 1997 which is why it doesn’t turn on. There isn’t electricity if the room key isn’t inserted. There is literally one outlet for the whole room .. and it’s in a very awkward location. I ran out of toilet paper, and the staff questioned if I really needed it, or was trying to hoard. Yes, the location is wonderful. The thing is… pay a bit more for the variety of different hotels on the same street, and be comfortable. I wish I never booked this hotel, please beware.

Location is great, but never a 4 stars!! Room is terrible in every aspect, the interior designer/decorator needs to go back to school to learn never to use big furniture with warm colors in tiny spaces!! The room also needed maintenance and face-lifting, not to mention the bathroom conditions! Breakfast buffet is typical on daily basis, with limited selections. Taste was not also the best. Except for the positive and warm attitude of some of the staff; especially concierge, security and restaurant hostess whose smiles kept the balance with the quality of the hardware; I would've given the property 2 stars: 1 for the location & 1 for the security (it's considerably safe).

Is older Soviet style hotel. Staff is very easy to talk to and communication in English is very excellent. Breakfast is fantastic! Location is very good too. Only thing that I not give 5 stars is because not finished my stay yet. We will see what happens over the next 3 days.

So for a hotel that is on the city center, close to just about everything a person wants to see on a short trip, how friendly and helpful the staff are this is most definitely worth the money. It's prices are reasonable and when I booked mine cheaper than other places. My room has a view of the river and buildings which was great! The breakfast buffet is worth the few extra dollars as well.i will be coming back to this charming city and be staying here again. The rooms are cozy and clean. What more can a person ask for?

The room was good size, bed ok, the hotel is located in the centre but I didn't use that as the low temperature and the dangerous iced walkways outdoors just made me stay inside. Nice restaurant (pubic cafe) open 24/7 with indoor access from hotel. Breakfast is not the best, reception lady on my arrival was doing something and just greeted me with "yes" without even looking at me, I found that disrespectful. Breakfast room cold, room cold.
