Do-C Ebisu

Clear, quiet and just the thing I needed for a quick nightover after an event in Shibuya. Did not get to use the shower and sauna, so for me 14k yen for a night was quite expensive, but I chose it for the location, 24h check-in, locker and amenities, as it provided loungewear/pijamas. I am 180cm and around 88 kg, but I had enough room for comfort. There are earplugs provided but if you are a lightsleeper, be advised. Also, the air was a bit dry. Inside the capsule, you have a stand, a light, a fan and a socket for charging.

The negative reviews didn't apply to my experience. It was very quiet the whole night. And the pod was cozy. They have heated seat bidet toilets, and amazing shower water pressure.

The capsule is small. It is about the length of a 182cm person. There is a vent fan. I got bit by bugs while sleeping. Couldn't help but feel creepy crawlies every night. Probably dust mites. The temperature was good. Location is prime with transport around the corner and a 7/11 across the street. Slightly inconvenient with luggage and cannot go to your room at certain times of the day. What other options are there if you don't want to stay in a love hotel or pay $300 USD a night? Not many....

The pod for sleeping is cozy for 1 night or 2 max because it’s tiny but it does the work ! The sauna and showers are very nice! There’s the temperature for each shower and great explanation of what to do on the wall. Overall i enjoyed my short stay !

Let me tell you why I give this place 1 star. First, you think the wood design is cool... it is a shanty inside. Just boards everywhere strapped together. The sauna is the only bonus this place has to offer. Absolutely zero early check in, even for extra money offered when the space was available. At finally 2:55... after 14 hours travel and 30 hours up... I'm sorry...5 more minutes. Then, the icing... which is why I give it 1 star... they make everyone (EVERYONE!) check out in the middle of your stay. Excuse me... what was that? Yes... Never in my years have I EVER seen a place in a hostel or cube design that makes every reservation check out and pack their belongings by 11am (no sleeping in on vacation for you), and re-check in after 3pm again. Oh yes, they can hold your bag... at the front desk... after you've packed. There is no relax time here. I spent 20 minutes in the sauna and gave it a 2 on location for that. You're right next to one station, but so are a thousand other hotels. Guests are found sleeping in the main lobby because they have no where to go for 4 hours. Do not stay here. I'm leaving early because of this check out nightmare and we'll see if they even credit me for the time I refuse to stay here. What a joke. Find another cubicle Hotel.

Do-C is the best value and location in Tokyo, as Ebisu is a crossroads to great nightlife and travel in and out of Tokyo. With a sauna and secure locker environment, it's not luxury but just a place to crash, and sweat out the day. Staff helpful, and stay amenities offered at desk. Floors and saunas are separated by gender, but WiFi and 2F area support interaction. No elevator to 2F, so guests who are mobility-impaired likely impossible. I have stayed here about 10 times.

The capsule look a bit old but the toilet is very clean. There are private showers, open showers, and a sauna which is fantastic. However, there’s no lift from the ground level to the lobby, so you’ll need to use the stairs. But from the lobby to the dormitory, there is a lift available. The location is great, close to Uniqlo and the metro station. Overall, it was a really good experience.

This place has 8 floors, no stairs, and only one elevator that only fits 3 or 4 people. I'm leaving my review solely because of that because it's made leaving in the morning at checkout time feel impossible. I was ready to go at 10:55, and now I'm typing this at 11:08, still waiting to go down. The elevator has only come to my floor twice in that time, and both times it was too full for me and my luggage. The second time it came, I just put my bag in there and asked them to take it down for me, something I wasn't entirely comfortable with but I need to go now and it felt like the only way to get my bags down there, and I'm hoping I can squeeze into the next one. Just a terrible design. The third elevator just came and there was not enough room for me at all. The fact that there's no stairs is idiotic. If the elevator can't pick me up one more time I might just use the emergency stairs.
