Sandwich was great, the proscuitto inside was so fresh and tasty. The cheese inside the sandwich was also very salty and tasty which worked so well with the prosciutto then offset by the bread. The pastas here were ok, the favourite of the lot was the lasagna. The salumi board was pretty decent as-well.

Review of Doc Delicatessen A Warm and Delightful Experience From the moment you step into Doc Delicatessen, you’re greeted by the intoxicating aroma of freshly brewed coffee—a prelude to the remarkable experience that awaits. The coffee here is truly exceptional, each cup a testament to careful selection and expert preparation. However, what elevates the entire visit is the hot chocolate: rich, velvety, and indulgent, it is easily the highlight of the menu for anyone with a sweet tooth or a craving for comfort in a cup. The true heart of Doc Delicatessen lies not only in its drinks but in its people. The staff go above and beyond; every interaction is met with warmth and sincerity, making each guest feel genuinely valued—dare I say, like royalty. Their attentive service brings a personal touch that transforms a simple coffee stop into a cherished ritual. Thank you Doc Delicatessen, for consistently delivering excellence and hospitality. In my book, you are number one. I eagerly anticipate my next visit—until then, ciao!

Such a cute, traditional Italian experience! It was like a little taste of being in Italy. The music, the workers were all so happy and singing in Italian. Coffee was great and the Nutella croissant was made fresh, so delicious!!

Beautiful selection of authentic Italian small goods. It’s not cheap but the quality is first class. Service is excellent with the staff happy to make suggestions. We bought all we needed for homemade pizza including freshly made Napoli Sauce Mozzarella, hot Salami and a bottle of Chianti. Perfect. Recommended.

I went to the grocer to get the authentic Italian ingredients for carbonara and the lady there was exceedingly helpful. Afterwards I went to the restaurant next door to sit down for a meal. Now I like al fresco dining so I sat outside but Lygon Street is an older neighborhood with a whole lot of restaurants so I actually saw mice running around. Therefore I would suggest all diners to sit inside the restaurant in this district. The food was great, I had my mocktail and a porcini parpadelle, with a black coffee at the end and it was soooo wonderful.

Simple, fresh Italian deli. Great service and fantastic sandwiches. Big recommendation for the prosciutto, so simple yet so flavourful and I think it tops the equally yum Wagyu Bresola. Make sure you get an Italian import drink from the fridge out the back to wash it down.
