Doc Manget Memorial Aviation Park

I’m considering this a hidden gem! It’s a great playground by the runway. The playground is for 5-12yo but smaller kids can enjoy it too. It’s also on turf. There’s a pavilion with several picnic tables, a restroom, & ample seating around to watch the planes. Not sure if I parked in the right area but there was plenty space available. Cons: It can get a little crowded since it’s small but the kids worked everything out. Only 1 garbage can so can overflow easily

One of the nicest parks visited. Very good entertaining play area with the view of planes landing and taking off. The play equipments are educational. The podium facing runway provides wonderful view of the flights crossing (taking off and landing). Love to visit regularly. Restrooms needs continuous maintenence, but I believe the visitors needs to be mindful of proper usage of the limited availability.

Beautiful thought provoking(educational) play area! It's hard to find free play spots of this magnitude. I absolutely love it. Tough it does have some serious needs even in the near perfect destination that it is. I personally believe they need more restrooms, waste areas and attendants to maintains just those. However even with some of the negatives this play area will draw you in. It is that fantastic. There is a optional plane viewing area off to the side of the playground and picnic area which is also very cool. It's a fun time the children and adults will love.

This playground has been newly refurbished and has a lot of great interactive features for the kids. Being near an active airport is always a plus. The children really enjoyed their time there.

This park is great! It’s not huge so don’t expect much but it’s perfect for watching planes take flight! 4/5 because the slides were not shaded! However, My toddler loved the playground. We spent a few hours here! There is a spacious pavilion that’s nicely shaded! A few of the pilots waved to us while on the swings. There is an observation deck that was a very nice touch. We will definitely go back! Also, NO DOGS allowed

This is a charming little playground next to the Dekalb Peachtree Airport’s runway, where you can watch small planes take off and land throughout the day. The grassy area has scattered benches and open space with only a few trees, making it easy to keep an eye on kids. There’s also a section with picnic tables under a hangar-style shelter, which adds a unique and inviting touch.

Fun, air travel-themed playground. Swings for little and bigger kids. Watching the small planes and helicopters take off or land is great entertainment, just a little loud 🙂 Restrooms are hopefully in the process of being renovated.

We love this little playground! It's super fun with a little play area, some swings, a hangar with picnic tables for lunch or shade, and a few stellar spots to sit and watch the planes take off. My son loves to watch the planes! There are restrooms in the hangar as well, which makes my small bladder very happy, and ensures we can spend as long as we want playing and watching the runway.

I can't believe I am the first to review this place! It had been on our list for a long time so we finally went. It was a Saturday afternoon and there was a designated parking lot for the playground. The lot was pretty empty and so was the playground. There was only one other group there when we arrived. But by the time we left, there were a handful of groups, but nothing overwhelming. There is a standard playground that is in good shape. We of course, watched tons of planes take off and land. It never got too loud for the kids. There are bathrooms and a covered area with picnic tables. There is also an elevated area for viewing where the photographers were. Other than that, there are benches everywhere to enjoy the view and a restaurant nearby in case you get hungry or wan to order a picnic. I highly recommend!
