Good surprise, I was going to another restaurant, closed for the day and I discovered this one. I had a lunch menu take away. The service was efficient and fast. The menu was original: moussaka, lamb with rice and flan. The quality of the food was very good. The moussaka was not greasy. The menu of the day is a bit expensive 12€ but it was worth its price.

4.5! We sat outside in the cold so that wasn’t great. But the service was quick and food was good. The sepia a la plancha was delicious but sandy. The canelones were amazing though! Our favorite dish.

Traditional Madrid food in the heart of the old busy district. The long hours allow for a great tasty meal for a reasonable price. Good potatoes, jamon, and dessert.

Orejas live up to the standards you expect, decent portion size. Épico. Nice vermut de grifo, cerveza and usual standards you find in bars here. The terrace has a nice environment inside the plaza, designed with the tree planters and connected design integrated with the restaurants. Calamares (rabos) are standard, meaning the same quality you get at any cervecería. The patatas bravas are underwhelming.. it's nice that it's actually a bit spicy (for Madrid standards) but for a item that's bold on the menu the dish doesn't live up to it. Not the best in even in the neighborhood. One note in texture, like frozen potato that's deep fried and heated up would be.. missing a crispy exterior.

Bad experience with food and service! Unfortunately my experience in this restaurant was not pleasant at all. The attitude of the service was total failure as I was feeling like I would be bothering them with my visit and my order. The 'patatas bravas' were, for me, the worst I have tried so far and the 'orejas de cerdo' (pig's ears) likewise. We basically left full plate on the table while leaving. Sadly I can not recommend this place based on my own experience.

Really great place. The food was great and not overly greasy. The ambiance was relaxed and we didn't feel hurried even as more and more people came in. The waiter was super patient with my bad spanish, and most of the patrons were very very friendly to myself and my wife. We also brought our infant and they gave us a seat out of the way so she could feed during our meal which was really kind of them! I enjoyed the Patatas Bravas - which were good but not he best i've had. The calamari was fantastic as is and with no sauce, and the Paella Mixed tasted fantastic and they did not skimp on the seafood either!

Nothing special, bravas are different from other places but I wouldn’t say they are the best in town. Other dishes are average as well, serving is really quick and service is good, lots of seatings but it gets really busy. Good option if you are around but not worth coming from the city center
