They have some of the best pastries at really great prices. My favs are the natas (Portuguese tarts) . They have so many varieties of natas and they all taste good. The savoury pastries/fritters are equally delicious and are def worth trying.

One of the best bakeries in the city! Great prices and very authentic. There’s such a huge variety of pastries and baked goods (all delicious, moist and balanced in terms of sweetness and textures). They also have a variety of freshly baked soft breads, meats and cheese - with the option to order sandwiches, which I highly recommend. It tastes SO much better when it’s made fresh.

Came here on a bakery tour with friends and ordered a Tiramisu slice and cannoli. Both were good. The cannoli shell was fresh and held up. The filling was piped all the way through the shell; and mascarpone filling wasn't sweet. The Tiramisu slice is light and delicious with a subtle espresso taste. Would recommend both.

Delicious Cakes, Pastries, Tarts and Cheesecakes and savoury tea time snacks too. a Portuguese bakery with lots to offer and the girl from Angola who works their has an ever ready smile and all out to help you with everything you want. The custard tarts were delicious! It’s got a beautiful large sunlight room with a nice ambiance to have your coffee and eats. All the stuff in the store looks fresh! Lots of parking available beside it . Went on Easter Sunday it was very busy.

Toronto's best Portuguese pastries made daily. The variety of different styles of bread is out of this world cooked to perfection. The cakes are traditional or ultra modern. The STAFF IS AMAZING SUPPER FRIENDLY The service is over the top with plenty of product knowledge. A MUST TRY IF YOU ARE IN THE G.T.A.

My husbands go to spot for work pastries and desserts. Great service and reasonable prices. Their egg tarts are so yummy!

A nice bakery with a variety of Portuguese strike bread, cakes and pastries. Priced very well. This place isn't that big, but is a decent size for a couple of tables both in and out. Or if you want, take out and head over to the park across the street. Foods are not to sweet which is nice. Perfect to pair with coffee. Custard tarts are creamy and flaky. The pastry cake (no label/ tag) which has a custard inside was also very good. Definitely recommend trying this place out.

I grew up in Cape Town with the largest expatriate Portuguese population in the world. Since childhood, I have LOVED all Portuguese food and hospitality. FINALLY got back to Doce Minho today and it did not disappoint. The amigas there are very sweet and nice to their customers, many of whom are very demanding. These ladies have lots of patience. Obrigada amigas! It's been too long. This is my favourite Portuguese bakery in Toronto (Golden Wheat at 652 College is also very good but they don't carry corn bread which Doce does carry.

Very underwhelming pastries. Received these as a gift to a party, and everyone was cery disappointed. The pastries lack quality ingredients, which ultimately impact the flavours. Everything tasted very low quality and plastic-like. Will not be going to this particular place. There are dozens of bakeries that produce fabulous items. Unfortunately, this location does not..

The freshly cut ham and cheese panini pressed sandwiches are prepared with Portuguese buns that are delicious. The fresh apple turnovers are soft and filled with apple chunks. And my newly discovered lemon donut is unbelievably good, but disappears early in the day due to its popularity. Today, I grabbed two pieces of my favourite Red Velvet cake for dessert.

Its a small but nice little cafe bakery. The whole wheat loaf bread is totally worth it, and the custard tarts are the standard great variety at most bakeries. But standouts at this place is the decaf cappuccino with chocolate powder (its rare to see one with double tall foam done right) and the brownie (I tihnkit had whole walnuts in there) definetly worth a visit if you arein the area. Several people in the area go to this palce for all thei rbaked goods.

This is a Portuguese bakery, they have really good sweets! The small desserts are great, but their cakes are the best, I always buy for bdays and celebrations. Way better than any other cakes at this same price, it's around $30 for a 12 pieces cake. The only bad part of this bakery is the service, some of their people is a little rude sometimes.

Really bad! The old lady who works in that store is really racist and arrogant, serves very poorly and makes jokes in bad taste with other people's accents. Badly educated and grumpy and the food is totally unseasonable, the cakes look pretty but it's not worth attending for the service!! sad experience

My review is mixed as I feel bad customer service comes before amazing food. I've been coming here for years and love most of the pastries, I mainly come here for natas and papsecos as they are ALWAYS fresh! My complaint is for customer service. I do notice that even though I'm Portuguese they will choose to serve you first before someone else of a different ethnicity. I've witnessed it a lot and It's happened with someone I know who was waiting in line and the ladies were about to start serving those behind him! Had I gone in with him it would be a totally different story. Of course he said something but it was obvious to be a race issue as their speaking in Portuguese calling out orders from behind him to try and get served first. Shame on those Portuguese customers who believe that because it's a Portuguese bakery they can just walk in and call out orders while SOMEONE is standing in front of them waiting. And shame on the girls serving who respond to them when they can see others have been waiting before.

They had very good custard tart. They had varieties of beautiful pastries. The shops were nicely decorated, clean, and spacious. It was very nice place. Prices were good. I do not know why they had so many staff. Whenever someone ordered something, they were excited and screamed one another in Portuguese. I did not know what it was. It was different from being energetic, but it was something.

The owners of this place should seriously reconsider using cheap ingredients in pastries and cakes. It's quite apparent with a naked eye, let alone after you try the pastries that the quality is low. I don't know why the owners decided to use low quality ingredients. Perhaps, it's to save on input costs, but I was so disappointed that I'm not coming back to Doce Minho ever again, even though the staff there were super nice and friendly. Low quality kills customer loyalty in the long run, so even though it's a profitable strategy in the short term, it's a losing strategy in the long run.

So sad. Came here to enjoy some shrimp pastries from my childhood and they didn't have any. Weren't informed if they were gonna be making more later in the day to perhaps grab some later. But after seeing all the flies in their pastry case, I'm not sure if I even wanna go back there and grab anything to eat :(

It is fortunate to have a bakery this good so close by. I've been going here for two years, and for the constant flow of cars and people I can tell that the clientele is growing. I'm happy for them because the quality of everything they bake and import is remarkable. When my sister and cousin came to visit from Mexico, they woke up early, and go to Dolce Minho for a coffee, tarts, and small breads for bocadillos. They just loved the variety, freshness, and quality of everything. They wished they had a Portuguese bakery in Mexico City... It doesn't matter if you don't have a sweet tooth, I rather saltiness and I can't resist their beer, beans and pastel de leche tarts, as well as their lil tiramisus. I'm also a fan of their corn bread, baguettes and small round shaped breads, which can be used to fix some tasty original snacks. They sell cold cuts, whole cheeses, and they can even put your picture on a cake... Are you on your lunch break? You can drink an expresso at the counter, wake up, make digestion, and go back to work... If you have time and you want to have brunch or breakfast with family or friends, they have a terrace, there is a park infront (in case you come with kids) and the street is quiet. The only thing is that if you come during rush hour you need to be patient because the ladies at the counter can be overwhelmed by the affluence of people.

I have tried this place driven more by the curiosity then the knowledge of the reviews around the net. Overall I liked the place. It's more like a 3.5 stars but before I raise my rating, I'll have to come back few more times to be accurate. The service was very good: fast and accurate and in my case, prompt to fix a mistake I have made when I placed my order. There is such a variety of baked goods. I had a couple of Portuguese mini tarts and a Portuguese coffee. The place offers both, eat in and take away. There is an area with some chairs and tables inside and outside just in case you want to sit and have you drinks. They sell product either from from Portugal and Brazil. Everything is priced well.

Pro: - come here for the Portuguese Tarts - lots of other pastries to offer but a little on the sweeter side. - lots of area for seating both inside and outside - freshly baked breads - offers sandwiches and coffee - ample parking Con: - pastries are on the sweeter side Come here on Saturdays and they offer mini tarts! I liked the environment and the feel of this family owned bakery, however it didn't exceeded my expectations. The croissants tasted like tulicreme, the deserts were mushed up in the box by the lady who took our order and the taste was far from familiar. I am sorry but I wouldn't return. Wish they will hire a better Baker

For my first review on here I thought I'd just write a quick one about this place, since nobody had reviewed it yet. This review is based on one thing, and one thing only: the custard tarts. They're my favourite. If you know the Portuguese custard tarts then you know what I mean, if not: soft custard, flaky pastry, burnt top... Maybe you know the Chinatown version, which is ok, but positively awful compared to these (from which I believe they're derived, but I might be wrong). Anyway, they're amazing. If you've had the Nova Era versions, they're better than those. In any case, worth the trip out here. I've bought buns there a few times and they're good, but not overwhelmingly so like the tarts. And a nice little place as well, with very decent espresso, and guarana Brazilia. Looks like an assortment of other Portuguese delicacies too, but I don't know much about anything other than the tarts! Oh, the tarts... If you buy a half dozen, eat one when it's fresh... then the next day warm them up a bit before you eat them. Ohhh... I'm just going to eat one right now.

This is as good a Portuguese bakery as it gets (comparable to Venezia, also in Toronto), both for pastel de nata and for "grandma bread." Admittedly the nata can be a bit inconsistent in texture, but I'm grading by upper bound here.

The worst customer service in the city, walk a little further to any of the other many bakeries in the area.

Friendly customer service and beautiful delicious cakes, it is good place to read book or hangout with friends.

This will be the best Portuguese custard tart you ever have. The custard tastes like crème brûlée and the pastry is paper thin and crispy. They don't cut corners and it really shows in the taste and texture of the tarts. They are NOT eggy (like scrambled egg texture) like you may find at other bakeries. There are not enough good things I can say about this bakery. Staff was friendly and even offered my mom and I a complimentary tart. We drove 2 hours to try this highly recommended bakery and I just wish I bought more to bring home! This really is the gold standard for Portuguese custard tarts.

I came here as its close to a nearby park. I was delighted to see an Italian cafe. I tried the egg tart and coffee. The coffee was plain and nothing special. However, like what everyone says, the tart has more filling than other bakeries. It wasn't too sweet or caramelized either. I shall return!

I love this bakery and café, their toast is very good and their cakes are tasty, I always order their hot chocolate too. The sitting area is nice, in the summer is an outdoor patio and in the winter a nice indoor sitting area with glass walls. Highly recommend.

If you are going there for the Portuguese Custards then you are in luck. They are delicious. Just do NOT get any other pastries that are not Portuguese ... They are terrible!!!! And as for the service, the lady at the cash was horrendous ... She was on the phone the whole time, hand waved me quickly to move down, did not speak one word to me not even to tell me the amount and took my money. No, 'thank you come again', no smile, nothing. It will probably make my decide to never visit again. Custards or not.

I have mixed reviews with this place. Its a great bakery nice girls at the counter, good pastery and a nice setting. I do feel like if you don't speak Portuguese they kinda ignore you.

Service was terrible, the girls at the counter refuse to speak English with you and the actual food is just as bad. Got their shrimp patties (gross, pasty and salty with no actual shrimp), a brownie (tasted like box mix and frosting from a can), and a cannoli (it was soggy and the filling was runny).

You have to try their custard tarts!! I've always loved them and apart from the ones I've had in Portugal...these are amazing!!!

Came here to try their famous custard tart, left with no disappointment. Best tasting custard tart ever in life. 4.5/5! Only thing is if they can make it less sweet then no doubt is a 5/5. I will go bck and buy again for sure.

Probably the closest you will find to real authentic Portuguese pastries in the GTA , they have a lot to choose from and its all very fresh, definitely go try their stuff I know they have the best custard tarts

Great hours & service. Tried the custard tarts they are filled more than the ones you would get from the other bakeries. They are not as sweet and more delicious! Next time I go in I will definitely try their variety of breads and doughnut!

I just left this place and seriously don't even want to eat what I just purchased. When paying for my cake the lady at the till was too engrossed in a conversation with another lady that she didn't even look at us. She told us the price in Portuguese which I asked her to repeat in English and got ignored. Then, after paying with my card she didn't even bother taking the receipt until I reached to grab it. She then just placed it in front of her. Without even tasting what I bough I won't go again just based on the awful customer service.
