This place is wonderful. It's clean, the food is good and the service is lovely. Only request I would have is to offer a few vegetarian options. I asked to leave the meat of the things I ordered, but it would be cool if a cheaper version of the chicken quesedilla for example would be available. But this place overall is a gem!

Came by boat which was my first time doing something like that and was a fun experience. Dock was in good shape. We had to get a little creative with bumpers since my boat sits low but it worked out well. Plenty of parking at the time we went. Food was good. Prices were reasonable. Service was a little slow but they seemed a little light in the staffing. Decent kids menu but our kids split an adult meal. Our kids like the playground. Would go again.

Google
I don't usually hand out 5 stars- my thought being, it should be just about perfect for everyone but, the crabs, our food, our waitress, the view- even the parking and condition of the restrooms left me with no other choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Google
My family used this restaurant as their venue for a small, intimate wedding. Luke & his crew were FANTASTIC! True rockstars. The evening was beautiful and the food was simply incredible. Everything came out hot and fresh for every guest. Everyone was raving about the prime rib and crab cakes. Highly recommend!

Google
Great seafood as well as some good "bar" food. Guitarist inside while we were seated outside by the dock and water. I really enjoyed my crab cake and asparagus, but the au gratin potatoes were on the cold side. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal. Prices are reasonable.

Nice restaurant on the water. The view was beautiful. Our server was great! The crabs were mediocre. They were mushy. We were able to have them replaced.

I came here yesterday with my family because we received a gift card. I will say, our server was extremely kind, personable, and attentive. However, the food was awful. I ordered a cup of loaded potato soup to start, which had little to no flavor at all. Then, I ordered the blackened chicken alfredo. It was okay. Not horrible, thankfully. My mom’s and husband’s dishes however…. They both ordered rockfish over rice. The rockfish tasted like catfish and had a very foul smell. The rice had the weirdest taste that was impossible to get out of your mouth. My husband ordered a cherry crush drink. It was hardly sweet and tasted like soda water with some vodka. Needless to say, I feel awful giving a local business such a negative review but food prices are too high to serve food that isn’t even subpar!

Google
Good food. Great staff (always very nice and helpful). Nice atmosphere, with good views of the water. They have a monthly specials menu that always has a couple of fresh and creative options. There are sometimes inconsistencies from the kitchen, but not enough to cause me to not want to return. In the summer, the flies outside can be a but overwhelming.

Yelp
I came here recently with a large group (I believe there were 8 of us) for drinks and an early dinner. It was a Saturday afternoon so they were pretty busy, but we were seated at a table outside right away. We were a little disappointed with our table as it was literally the only one in the shade on their patio (it was a beautiful day, we wanted to be in the sun!), but we were able to move the table itself a few feet so we got some sunlight. Most of us ordered one of their crushes, which come in lots of flavors and are always made well. I'm partial to the orange, which I feel like is more orange-y than I've had in orange crushes at other places. Their food is good, but it's never something I'm really dying to go back for. On this visit a few of us shared their dock fries (fries with nacho cheese and bacon), seared ahi tuna, and snakehead bites. The dock fries are probably one of my favorite menu items, and they didn't disappoint on this day. They always come out hot and I find they have a good amount of cheese for all the fries. The seared ahi tuna and snakehead bites were decent as well but I'm not sure if I'd order them again. I was really interested in the snakehead bites in particular as it was my first time seeing them on a menu somewhere. They were battered and fried, which I think works well for the fish, but they could have used some sort of sauce to dip or dress them in. If I remember correctly, they were only served with coleslaw. Dock of the Bay is a nice place to go in the summertime when you can enjoy their outdoor seating and waterfront views. I've always enjoyed their food and drinks and I'm sure I will continue to return.

Yelp
We were in MD on vacation and the family picked this place for us to eat. It was positively delicious! Hidden little treasure tucked in the middle of a neighborhood! Nice sized parking lot. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great for big groups or something more intimate . The kids (being from Arizona) loved going out to the dock while waiting on the food to arrive. They thought it was super cool. Hubby and I enjoyed the scenery out there too! The wait staff was all so very nice and informative too. The place itself was clean as was the restrooms. Everything we ordered was so amazing. We will be going here again!

Yelp
While visiting the area for a weekend birthday celebration, I decided we should do a crab boil. I also really wanted some raw oysters. We chose this restaurant for a light lunch. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the ambiance inside is nice with good A/C. There's also outdoor deck seating as the restaurant is on the water. The lunch was good and our server was great, although a little slow initially. The oysters were ok - very mild flavor, not shucked very well. I had the crab soup which was great - nice amount of mild heat. I was enjoying the server's personality and felt like the menu would be good for everyone in the family coming out for dinner so we made a reservation for that night, with three os planning on eating whole crabs. We had the same server for dinner, which I was very pleased with. She even did a shot with us at one point, and another of her tables was celebrating a birthday so we all did one together. So much fun! The food was great - she gave us a primer on cracking crabs as it had been many years. We had so much fun and enjoyed everything.

Yelp
Not gonna lie I though dock of the bay was racist for a while but no it was my misperception. Even if they were I'd call ice on my mama for one of they're delicious crushes or an item off of they're frequently updated special food menu. I mean I'd send my cousins back home to make shoes for just a nibble of they're delicious crab cakes. The freakin potato skins bro, THE POTATO SKINS! they're kind of just regular potato skins. I mean what do you expect it's a potato with some stuff on top you guys need to lower your expectations I mean geez. The wait staff are very friendly my waitress taught me how to read. The outdoor seating is lovely especially because I'm a very attractive man and attractive people love to eat outside where the birds and squirrels live. I mean some people have pet birds but they're like pet bird people. I'd rather eat a slinky than have a pet bird. Although I did watch this documentary about how smart crows are, crows are pretty cool.

Yelp
Do not eat here if there is an event in the large dining area on the right-hand side. We went there on a Saturday early afternoon, and the group was so loud that we could not hear the conversation at our table that was outside. We asked if we could move our meal to the other side where it was more quiet but was told that was another server's area and could not move to that section. The noise from the group made it impossible to enjoy the ambiance of the dock area, which is why we chose this restaurant. The view of the water was great. If only we could have had a more peaceful meal, this place would get 5 sta4s.

Keondra G.

Yelp
I went to the dock of the bay, and right from the start, the customer service was utter trash. The girl couldn't even bother to inform us that they weren't seating any more people. Instead, she had the nerve to say "hold on" and left to attend to other customers waiting to be seated. Then, when she finally returned, she had the audacity to tell us, "We're not seating anymore people." Isn't that just complete bullshit? Not even an "I'm sorry" or anything, just straight-up attitude. And to top it off, they have the nerve to close at 9 PM according to their sign.

Ragini G.

Yelp
Came here for a nice dinner on the water in June with my fiancé. They have a decent amount of waterside seating with large umbrellas to protect from the unyielding sun. We got the crab dip, oysters and double crab cake with fries. Our waitress was really busy but we felt pretty attended to. They have all sorts of cocktails and a lot of them are on the sweeter side so check on that if you don't like your cocktails so sweet. The menu says that the entrees come with table bread but you have to ask for it specifically otherwise they don't bring it out automatically. We asked for it afterwards and it took a while so we finished our food without it. Would come again. They have a nice view of the lighthouse.

Yelp
The best crabcakes in Baltimore and a fun and lively neighborhood vibe with great water views

Mattie W.

Yelp
Love this place! We love the ahi tuna appetizer and the crab pretzel. You can't beat the view and shaded outdoor seating. Happy hour specials are also great!

Patricia S.

Yelp
We went to the Dock of the Bay for a baby shower. The side room for the event was great for views and the arrangement of tables. The food offered was very good especially the pretzel bites and the hot crab dip. I can truly say the shower was a smash and the serving staff made getting drinks from the cash bar very easy. If I lived in this area, I would consider having a catered event here.

Shannon S.

Yelp
I'd give a zero but you can't. We went there for dinner tonight. There was a school fundraiser happening which caused it to be very busy. I understand that. However we waited almost 2 hours and never got our food. We had water which wasn't being refilled. We watched tables that came in after us get waited on and served before us. Clearly there was not enough staff to accommodate what was happening there. Very sad and nowhere to contact the restaurant directly so I'm doing it here! No acknowledgement of how long we were waiting. No apololgy. We won't be back.

Yelp
Hubby brought me here for my birthday. This was our first time at this restaurant. There was ample parking. After parking and walking to the door, there was a sign posted on the door advising that their eas a crabmeat shortage. As we entered, we stopped at the hostess stand and waited to be seated. The young hostess aked if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating, we decided on dining inside. Then she asked if we had a seating preference, and we advised not too close to too many people. We were seated by the window the overlooked the outdoor seating and the bay area. We overlooked the menu and once our server came upon our table, we were ready to order. We started with the calamari for an appetizer. I ordered the build your own entree, which included the salmon (I chose broiled) and it came with two sides, and I chose the side salad, no onions w/ oil and vinegar and baked potato. My husband ordered the seafood sampler, which came with shrimp, scallops, oysters, and Mahi Mahi, along with cucumber salad, string beans, and french fries. And for our drinks, he had the Heineken Zero and I had the Mango Chesapeake Bay Crush. The appetizer came out with fresh marinara sauce. The seasoning was on point, and they were served pipping hot. The best part I like that we were able to enjoy our appetizer in peace before being bumb rushed with entrees (which I hate). Finally dinner was served. Everything looked amazing and we immediately dived in. And there was no complaints from us. Everything was cooked to perfection and we already making plans to come back and try more entrées. I finally was able to drink my Mango crush... the drink was really good and had the right amount of alcohol. Finally after devouring our meal, we tried to hunt down our server to see the dessert menu. When she did come to remove the dishes, she advised she would come back to tell us the desserts. After minutes of waiting, we feared our server forgot us. So I left to go to the bathroom and hoped she came and informed my husband of the desserts. When I returned, he said I think our server forgot us. Finally we waved her down, and she downplayed saying she was waiting on me to return from the ladies room. Yeah ok! She did give us a list of different desserts, but since it was birthday I decided on the strawberry cheesecake cake, which was really good. Yum yum yum. It was so moist and sweet. I am glad I chose it, even after I saw the Maryland layered cake. I would've gave 5 stars, which they do deserve, but I hate chasing down a server. Overall, food was good and I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I have been going to this place for many years I live on the peninsula and I feel very lucky to have this restaurant and it's beautiful setting on the water in my community. However the past couple years I have noticed the food is not consistent I can order the same thing and get an excellent version one time and a horrible one on the following visit this is on all of their food items I don't understand it if somebody goes to a restaurant because they love their crab cake or their shrimp salad why can't it be the same every time?? I went the other day the shrimp salad had so much Old Bay added to what apparently was already in it that it was so salty and the fries were cold. It just seems like every time I go anymore I'm disappointed and it's not just me it's whoever I take there it's either overdone or extremely different than the prior time that you've had it I wish they could be more consistent because I really do like going there it's nice on the inside and outside they just need to get it together with their food.

Katlyn E.

Yelp
Food was decent but nothing special for me. The view of the bay is quite lovely. This would probably be the type of place I would bring my family who are all-American, not adventurous with food, type of people. Waitress was very nice, seemed like she had to wait on a large part of the restaurant so service was a little slow. Ordered the crab cake special (came with mac/cheese, green beans, roll). The crab cake was huge! Can order it broiled or fried, I had it broiled at the recommendation of the waitress. No complaints, very large chunks of crab meat. The rest of the sides were just A-ok. Fine, but not food I would go out of my way to go to a restaurant for. Had strawberry shortcake for dessert. This was also just fine. If I ever went again it would be for the view of the bay.

Yelp
We wanted to find a place on the water - off the beaten path to share Mother's Day Brunch. We were afraid with grey skies and rain all weekend we may have made a bad choice. We weren't sure what to expect crowd wise on Mother's Day, if we would be stuck outside in the colder weather and winds. The staff, size, views. and food exceeded our expectations. They cleared off a great sized table for us - inside temp was perfect. And though someWhat busy - they managed the flow very well and it didn't feel crowded. We all got our drinks and appetizers quickly (who knew cheeseburger deviled eggs could be a thing - I recommend. Shrimp basket was nothing special - although it was fried butterfly shrimp and was tasty. I'm always afraid to order crab cakes of places I don't know for sure they make them true maryland style. This place did NOT disappoint. Baseball sized lump crab cakes, perfectly broiled, with true lump meat and not a lot of filler. Rockfish was good according to my husband and son. Even the fries and broccochini were amazing - desserts and drinks were also yummy. Nothing more to say except "I can't wait to go back." Thanks for making a grey Mother's Day - sunny, Dock of the Bay!

Gabbie F.

Yelp
They have the average American food. Like burgers, gyros, salads, clubs, some pasta, a wide variety of seafood and steamed crabs, they have a bar inside and live music on the weekends. I liked the outdoors view. Food is average. I wouldn't come back, becauseI'mnot a seafood lover. However I would try another waterfront places. Menu looks ok though

David B.

Yelp
We were here on a Wednesday prior to 4th of July weekend. First off they were out of their specials. No rockfish crab bites. They must have been using frozen, because the fisherman have been killing it right off the front of the restaraunt. No stuffed softshells which was a special for the week. None of our seafood had any flavor to it. The crab fluff was cold. Mashed potatoes cold. Swordfish was a tiny thin piece that was dry. Not recommended.

Lori S.

Yelp
Awesome waterfront view, food and service was great. Highly recommend and will definitely come again.

Vicky M.

Yelp
Visiting family in Baltimore and looking forward to a good time picking crabs. Yesterday ,Friday June 21st 2024, which I made reservations for the day before. Asked about seating preference. Told person taking reservation that I needed to sit inside because of extreme heat expected today and a medical condition. They agreed it was expected to be very hot. Did get confirmation text but did not look it over thoroughly as it was confirmed with the wrong date August 16th, 2024. (what???!!!) Drove 45 minutes to get to restaurant. Was told no reservation in our name. Checked confirmation text and the person taking the reservation scheduled it for August 16?!? No apologies or attempt to address the mistake. Was told all inside seats taken and hostess was less than interested in our situation and said only outside seating available. We fortunately found Costas. Crabs and service were great at Costas.

Ms E.

Yelp
Service was deplorable. Waited to be recognized by the hostess, even with a reservation. Once addressed, waited for her to return to seat us. Once seated, no one ever returned to the table, that was dirty by the way. Asked the waitress passing by who was the staff responsible for the table. She was polite, but didn't know, and no one ever came to our table, even though we were seated between two tables that were served, one arrived after we did. Just upset today on Father's Day this was the treatment. Never will we return or recommend this place.

Angela Z.

Yelp
Went here last Saturday. Was told it was good under the new owners? Not terribly busy, but seriously understaffed. Hostess was not around, and several groups were waiting to be seated. We get to our table and sat without anyone approaching us for at least 20 minutes, while we watched the three other tables that were behind us in line, get orders taken, get drinks and some food. WTF? Our drinks came out in another 15 minutes. I could have walked three feet to the bar and got them myself quicker. Never offered or brought water. Crab dip_ some decent size lump crab, but mostly cream cheese and no seasoning. Crabcake platter- online menu said choice of 2 sides, never given a choice. Crabcake was large, good lump, minimal shells, but again no real seasoning. Broccoli and mashed potatoes-blah. Shrimp entree- shrimp were tough and over cooked. Even though we were starved, no one finished their meal. Not surprisingly, the others seated well after us finished, paid and left at least 30 minutes before us. I am not blaming the waitress; I hold the management responsible for poor scheduling and proper table assignments, as well as the mediocre food. We had high hopes because it is a cool location and used to have the best steamed crabs years ago. We went to see if the food was good expecting to return on another day to have steamed crabs. Not planning to now, sadly.

Vance C.

Yelp
Frozen seafood? Frozen oysters? you're on the Chesapeake bay for gods sake! why? Horrible tasting food with music blaring from the kitchen. Dining room dirty with bad odor. Stat away!

Earl H.

Yelp
Service from Taylor was spot on. We'll done. Candidly, we were disappointed that several items , as well as several beers were not available. Shortage of crabs in MD and frozen lines supporting the beer kegs. I did enjoy the tempura shrimp I ordered. SOOOO 4 for service, 3 for product!

Ivana Jane V.

Yelp
We are a group of 12 and we were seated on 2 round tables. The ambience is comfy and the view is amazing. Eating by the dock is quite relaxing. We were able to go out and take pictures. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and the fave one I got is the seared tuna. Its flavorful and fresh! We also ordered the Sampler with all types of seafood on a plate. I love the freshness of it and the oysters taste good. The crab cake also is good. The food was good but not amazing. The service is kinda slow maybe because of the high volume of customers with low number of staff around. We had to wait for a long time before anything was served on our table.

Helen M.

Yelp
Just had dinner there. The view is amazing. We sat on the patio. Kayla was our server. She was wonderful. Very attentive without being overly intrusive We had every thing we needed without even asking. Great experience!

Nathan T.

Yelp
Good food good view. Weekend breakfast are good. A lot of tv's. Would recommend the happy hour. Lots of parking

Ajalon M.

Yelp
Waited over an hour for food ! Drinks took over 30 minutes to come out ! Had a reservation at 8 and they did not seat us until 8:30 ! The only good think was the vibes and the pictures everything else was a no ! Only come if you have a large amount of patience!

Mike S.

Yelp
What a difference! We haven't been to Dock of the Bay for a couple years. Our last two visits were disappointing. The food has certainly changed. I had the crab cakes and they were spectacular! Almost no filler and broiled to perfection. My wife got the soft shell crab platter and she absolutely loved it. Savanna was our server and she was very attentive and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

Tom S.

Yelp
Crab cake entree is very good. Outside dining with water view excellent. Server was also attentive and good. Now the big issue. The hostess that seats you. Asked for outside seating, passed by 5 empty tables with umbrellas, offered a picnic table on side of building with no shade and next to the ice machine. Upon questioning the gal, she stammered about server rotation (not a lack of servers). We politely encouraged her to see if she can do better, and still no option for one of the many empty tables on the water. She said we have to wait indeterminate amount of time until one of the occupied tables empties. Absolutely ridiculous that they can't juggle the seating. We ended up getting some drinks, sat on the pier and waited half an hour for us to get a table on the water. And when we were finally seated, there were still several empty outside tables and other people wanting to be seated in them, but being shoo'd away by the hostess. The hostess is the first person you meet of the front of the house staff, you need to do much better. Sidenote, bartender is overworked and needs more help. Took 15 minutes to make two drinks with constant interruptions from servers waiting on their orders.

John W.

Yelp
One last warm and beautiful autumn day to sit on the dock of the bay and enjoy lunch. A lifelong friend invited me out and he invited another lifelong friend to join us. The Dock of the Bay is my friends favorite outdoor, warm weather dining destination. Melanie (?) was our server as we got down to business. The three of us each ordered a cup of the MD Crab Soup. Chocked full of the good stuff and thick and full of flavor, this MD crab soup is among the best I've had. Between us, we ordered a half dozen jumbo crabs, a broiled crab cake platter with two cakes, slaw and fries and a crab cake sandwich with slaw. Those jumbos were huge as my friend ate two and took the rest home for dinner. The votes were unanimous on the crab cakes: loaded with lump with very little filler, these babies were much better than expected. My fries were good and the Cole slaw was ok. Service and atmosphere great. Great views of the bay, good food and great company; you cannot ask for much more. Recommend.

Chevy B.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place while boating. The staff was amazing. I eat at all of the best restaurants in Baltimore and I have to tell you that this place exceeding all of my expectations. This new dish I tried tonight is called chipotle Parmesan pasta. It comes with garlic pita bread, and shrimp. And the best pasta that you are going to find in Baltimore. Monday nights special. They have all their specials on their Facebook and it's worth the trip!! Jordyn the manager is also amazing

Katie F.

Yelp
Had a nice lunch with my mom and we decided to try this place after looking at the map (wanted to explore fort Howard down the street). The restaurant and restrooms were l clean, lots of parking. Friendly and attentive staff too. Had a nice table by the water. We tried the orange, grapefruit, and watermelon crushes. The watermelon was a bit too sweet for our preference but the server offered to fix it and that really helped. Some reviews complained about not receiving rolls but the menu says "upon request"- so we requested! Easy enough. Nice assortment of bread and I loved the biscuit. I had the crab cake sandwich (no bread) with chips and cole slaw. Huge crab cake and very tasty. I am not a huge fan of chips to start with but these were nice and crispy and didn't feel greasy. The coleslaw was also good. My mom had the stuffed shrimp and I had a bite and those were also very good! Fresh broccoli and a nice sized potato. After lunch we took a short walk on the dock and enjoyed the views. Nice place and would definitely come back.

Rhonda J.

Yelp
Came early afternoon on 05/07/2020, there was not that many customers at that time and we were seated quickly inside. We ordered two cups of Maryland crab soup, that came out quickly and was good. We both ordered grilled chicken sandwiches with French fries. Both of us noticed immediately that the fries were undercooked. Both of us took on bite of the sandwiches and the grilled chicken had a weird scent, appeared slightly pink in color. The waitress came back and asked if we wanted "to go" containers since both meals were essentially untouched. Didn't ask if there was a problem with the meal. We declined boxes and she handed us a check for a little over $30.00. No effort was made, no inquiry was made as to why the meals were not eaten. Really no excuse since business was slow and plenty of people were working. Very disappointing experience and waste of money. I would also note that the table had not been wiped down before we were seated. I used my own products I brought with me to clean it and the waitress didn't even acknowledge it.

Pam W.

Yelp
5-star rating for the crab cakes alone!! Nice chucks of back fin crab meat, broiled just right. I can't imagine why this restaurant isn't more well known for them. The waitress, Nichole, was very attentive and kept our drinks from getting empty. We definitely will be going back.

Cindy C.

Yelp
Great Food and wait staff. Had a nice lunch with a Crab Dip as a starter. First visit there and definitely will return! Plenty of inside or outside seating. Can handle large groups. They do have Crab in season. Easy parking and the children's play area is New with child safe rubber mulch. Definitely a 5 Star Rating.

Erin H.

Yelp
I have been here many times and didn't like it in the past. It's been years and new owners so I tried again, and it was great. The waitress was super nice and the food was really good. Would definitely recommend.

Sylvia S.

Yelp
First time customer. We were not offered bread. oysters on the half not meaty. Boone sampler shrimp, scallops, fried rockfish, creamed spinach, asparagus, mussels, mac n cheese, rockfish bites fried to perfection, coffee, red velvet cake delicious and peanut butter and chocolate cake. Desserts were wonderful. Asparagus seasoned. Very tender. Mac n cheese hot and very flavorful, cheesy. If warm bread to be served with meal offer as a courtesy. You shouldn't have to ask. Parking available in uneven lot. Very scenic. Under 120.00. Spacious inside restaraunt. No one wore masks.

Randy J.

Yelp
We looked over the reviews and decided to give it a try. This restaurant is on the water and has a pier to walk out on or pull your boat up to it. It reminds me of a beach house type restaurant/bar. All of us ordered the big crab cakes. They had little filler but needed old bay. They were bland but still good. All of us carried a doggie bag out the door with some amount of crab in it. I judge a restaurant on its Cole slaw and this had so many black poppy seeds that it was over kill. I couldn't eat more than four bites. The waitress was attentive and polite but took a smoke break and when she came to the table we all cringed. We would go back but would bring some old bay.

Marianne Z.

Yelp
Slow slow service but great food!! Got the crab cake sandwich and wow the crab cake was incredible! Outdoor seating was nice and separated for social distancing.

Adeerah K.

Yelp
We found this place randomly and decided to check it out. We ordered the rockfish bites, seared ahi tuna app and the largest crabs they had. We usually will ask for a table outside preferably by the water. Crabs are always GREAT along with appetizers, ahí tuna app is delicious. Service has always been awesome with upbeat staff. We always ask for Savannah, she is AWESOME!!!

Rita H.

Yelp
So disappointed. We go there on special occasion. Today was my birthday, and I had one of the worst dinner experiences in a while. Their menu say's lightly flowered calamari, not overly battered frozen calamari. For people on a diet that misleading of words is huge. Maryland crab soup had no crab in it. Jumbo stuffed shrimp was small size shrimp with some crab on top. With the stuffed shrimp I got cucumber salad and coleslaw. Too cold sides, which I had to ask for because they were not brought out with my dinner. Fried chicken wasn't drained and came out, totally greasy and the batter was under par. The fish and chips was a mound of batter with very little fish. Corn on the cob wasn't fresh but frozen and was served still had ice on it when served. They took it back and put it in the microwave and brought it back out. We spend $120 on frozen food not cooked right. Heard they are under new management and sadly this place has gone extremely down hill. Thanks for making my 59th birthday dinner horrific. Will not be going back or recommending to anyone.

Yelp
WHAT A PLACE!! We were at North Point State Park and wanted to get a bite to eat. We ordered the Bloody Mary (which was only 7 dollars and was SO good) as well as the crab dip pizza (how come this is the first time that I have heard of this??). The pizza was so good, very generous topping. The pizza is probably around 10 inches big so I thought I wasn't going to be full but MAN was I wrong!! And then she got the Oyster Po-Boy which had this amazing sauce on top. There are excellent views of the water from the table, with a cute lighthouse and everything. my only constructive feedback would be the service was a little slow, but our server had a very large group also ordering at the same time so I understand!

Yelp
This is a hard place to review. The setting is amazing. For someone who doesn't live on the water, I think this is a great place to chill and enjoy the views of the bay. You're literally inches away from the water. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I ordered the chicken chesapeake. The crabmeat didn't have much flavor - I doubt they use maryland crabmeat. Even the basic crab soup was average. One should know, ask where the crabs are from? Today's response was Louisiana. Maryland crabs are running great so I don't understand this. Overall it was a good experience but if you're interested in good Maryland seafood go to Costas.

Yelp
Frozen seafood tasted like last months cooking grease and stale nachos. I would've sent everything back if our waitress ever returned to our table. I could have made better food at home. This Dundalk native will not be going back. Shame on Dock of the Bay for charging people to eat th food!

Yelp
I was hoping this place was a hidden gem but I was disappointed. We were greeted by what seemed like the only employee on duty and she was doing the best she could. Ordered fish and chips and a single crab cake platter with cream of crab soup. The soup came out piping hot and tasted great with a good amount of sherry and old bay. Crab cake was full of lump crab meat and ranks fairly highly on my scale of local bmore crab cakes. Here comes the disappointment, the fish and chips! The fries that weren't covered in grease from the fish were tasty and crispy. The fish itself was horrible, it included too much batter which seemed to retain all the grease that was used to cook it. I'm not sure what fish they used but it smelled horrible to the point after the car ride home the entire vehicle smelled horribly and I just threw the rest of the fish away. I'd like to go back and try some of the different items like pizza and the Stromboli.

Yelp
My wife and I decided to venture out for dinner for the first time since the Covid crisis hit. We've frequent the Dock before and tried to support them by ordering carry out during the shutdown. Noticing on Yelp that the "Staff wears mask", along with other safety measures, made us feel comfortable they took the necessary precautions for us to enjoy a nice evening by the water. The Maître d' greeted us at the door wearing a mask and seated us at a table properly spaced apart from others, but that was it. The waitress, who waited on our table had her mask down around her neck. A quick scan around the area we noticed some servers wearing masks, other waitresses with them also pulled down and a few barely covering their mouths. It was an uneasy feeling to have our waitress serving our food and conversing with us well within a comfortable distance. The food was good as always, but unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it. We're both in our senior years, with health issues and probably foolish to even consider going out to begin with. Lesson learned. Note to management: Please revise your posting regarding your safety precautions so customers can judge ahead of time if they care to dine there.

Yelp
My husband, children and grandchildren took me here for Mother's Day. Despite the weather being a little windy, we still asked to be seated outside to enjoy the water view. Shelia our waitress was awesome. She was friendly, funny, courteous, bubbly and attentive. She made us feel special, almost like we were her only customers. This was our first time here, but definitely not our last. We are going back real soon and hope we're blessed to be served by her again. Sheila you're the best. If Dock of the Bay has an employee incentive program, hands us this young lady deserves to win. Brenda and Family

Yelp
Best crab cakes I've had in a long time. Cute restaurant right on the bay with a great assortment on the menu. Everything tastes better when you're staying at water and boats. A true treat!

Yelp
3 Star is all I've got for this place and that's generous. Do not order the $45 Boone Seafood Sampler, it's nasty... it's not anything like they picture on the menu. It's over priced and made us sick. After discovering the oysters were not good (as in bad for consumption) we told the waitress. They didn't comp a portion of our bill or anything. Now sick from the meal we shared I'm sharing with you do you don't experience the same as us. Good luck!
