Wow, this is one of the best meals I've had as of late! For Father's Day, my dad and I shared the Octopus Carpaccio ($18), with his main being the Ribs (Half - $33, Full - $40) and my main being the Steelhead Salmon ($32). The carpaccio was a work of art - thinly sliced octopus arranged in a mosaic and topped off with pineapple salsa and tapioca crisps. It was refreshing and well-balanced in both texture and flavour. As for my salmon, it was beautifully cooked - flaky and juicy, with a nice sear for some added bite. The smoked salmon, cauliflower, and gruyère croquettes were also sensational, while the cauliflower purée and the golden raisins provided a touch of sweetness. Although the agrodolce was a bit too tart on its own, this was a minor point when taken as a whole since everything on the plate just worked in such harmony with each other. Considering it was Father's Day, I was surprised at the wide availability on OpenTable, but the restaurant filled up not long into our meal. Per my request, we were also seated near the window for a gorgeous view of the harbour. Service was fairly efficient overall, and our server kindly wished my dad a "Happy Father's Day!" at the end.

We happened to stumble upon this place after a local from Vancouver suggests it during our visit to Grannery Island. There used to be a Micro Brew here but it is no longer there. We had a light lunch including the Tempura Mushrooms, the Seared Tuna Salad, and Mediterranean Charcuterie Board. The view and the drinks were amazing. We will come back again.

We had a pleasant dining experience at Dockside Restaurant at the Granville Hotel. The service was terrific; our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The stunning views of False Creek and the boat traffic were a highlight, providing a beautiful and relaxing backdrop for our meal. We shared the robust, fresh Cobb Salad, and it easily satisfied both of us. The ingredients were top-notch and perfectly balanced, making it one of the best Cobb Salads we've ever had. The soft boiled egg was a delicious touch. If you're looking for a place with great food, excellent service, and breathtaking views, Dockside Restaurant is the perfect choice. Highly recommend! We wound up coming here in the morning for coffee as well. Dockside doesn't disappoint--it was flawless each time.

This was an absolutely wonderful experience. The restaurant is quite beautiful especially the patio with an amazing view! They actually have quite a good selection of food on their menu which is great! They had a decent amount of dairy free, gluten free and vegan items. The great thing was that they actually noted on their menu which items were GF, DF, vegan or vegetarian. A lot of restaurants get noticed don't often note DF free items so it was nice to see this restaurant did do that. Our server was also great - wonderful service. The only thing(s) I would note is that it is a little pricy and it's also not the easiest to get to via transit (if you're transitting) but I would say it is worth trying out.

The bar offers happy hour. Only three cocktails you can choose from! The signature cocktail was awful. The bar food they offer was terrible! Who eats Bone Marrow? Or Tuna??!! Disgusting! The bartender was rude. We are staying at the hotel where the restaurant and bar are located. I will never stay here again! The restaurant menu was awful as well. We didn't eat there because the menu was just as bad. Nobody in restaurant because the menu is disappointing! I wonder how they stay in business. The three cooks are just standing there because of no ordering food!!

Compared to other fine dining areas in hotels, this one was average. The food itself were options that you could get anywhere. My party ordered the Steak and Frites, Warm Mushroom (salad with add-on of steak), and Scallops. Overall, an average meal but the steak quality can be described as chewy and hard to eat. The other dishes were delicious and nice to try. The service was nice and lived up to decent expectations for restaurant staff. A pleasant environment where you can go if you're finding trouble eating at a sit-down restaurant.

We had an outstanding experience here, the food portions were generous, and the food was made to perfection. The service was very rapid and the patio seating and views are fantastic. The manager even came by and chatted with us for a while, very gracious. Be aware that the menu is limited but it didn't bother me at all because they have a new famous chef and his food was fantastic so he has the right to pick the menu he wants

Exceeded my expectations beyond measure! This was easily one of the best burgers i've ever had! It was flavorful, not your typical burger, with a delicious side of fries! I did not feel weighed down by it afterwards either! We also did a Beef Tartare which was a beautiful experience in itself. The chef came out to prepare it in front of us! All of this is accompanied by a beautiful view overlooking the water and docs! Thank you to our wonderful server Kevin who made our experience worth remembering!

Another fabulous dinner on Dockside Restaurant 's gorgeous patio! Featured here: Wagyu Beef Carpaccio Rosemary & Flaked Sea Salt Focaccia Panisse Eggplant Tian Skillet Baked Mac n' Cheese Guinea Fowl Marsala Lobster Risotto Blackberry, Lemon & Salted Caramel Gelato We were here just one month earlier but they've made some changes to their menu since then. There were some new items on the menu, and they don't seem to have updated the menu on their website yet. Panisse, Eggplant Tian, Guinea Fowl Marsala and Lobster Risotto are all new items on the menu. I opted to have two appetizers for my meal instead of one main entree, so I chose the Panisse and Eggplant Tian appetizers. Panisse are described on the menu as "crispy chickpea fries, espelette aioli". This dish blew my mind! The exterior was so wonderfully light and crispy. Inside, it was soft but not mushy. In my humble opinion, this is the best dish I've ever had at this restaurant! Sure hope they keep it on the menu! Eggplant Tian was quite enjoyable as well. It was hot, cheesy and tasty. The serving is on the smaller side, but paired with the Panisse appetizer it was a very good amount of food for my meal. Lobster Risotto was nicely done. Risotto rice has a tendency to be undercooked in a lot of restaurants, but this risotto was soft. (as it should be) Flavors were overall nicely balanced. Come for the views! Stunning ! Food is great as well. Very nice dining on Granville Island. Fantastic and friendly service. Also a nice spot for a special occasion meal.

I haven't been here in about a year, so we went for dinner on a Tuesday night in mid-April. I'd previously raved about the kitchen but on that night it was just "good" - I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. My husband's salmon was a tad overcooked, but otherwise tasty. The portion was fairly small, you definitely need an appetizer. Unfortunately their spaghetti with clams (with tomato sauce) was not nearly as transcendent as the amazing vongole I've had before. The pasta was over cooked and the whole thing was weighed down with what felt like too much sauce for the amount of pasta. The cocktails were both quite good. I think they've improved their cocktail game a bit. I

We had a brunch at dockside restaurant in April. Brunch menu was decent and everyone was nice. It was rainy and windy day, so we would like to come back when patio is open for summer!

service was decent but menu price has skyrocketed recently - new chef with a new menu? $48 for a rack of lamb that came with two, maybe 2oz. chops. the risotto it sat on was good, but not worth the money. I've never seen a "rack" of lamp with only 2 chops

Very nice place with good atmosphere. Me and my husband came to Granville market late and we didnt know it closes so early. We are from US and we didnt had internet on our phones to make a reservation at the dockside. But they were very nice to give us table outside with good view. They also provided blanket because I it got chilly. We were not so hungry so we stick with paella and duck croquettes and 2 drinks. I liked my cocktail Milan and my husband got cocktail el limone with limoncello. I loved duck croquettes they were very tender and tasty. Paella also had a lot of seafood. Overall we had a nice time there.

Came here for my birthday with the family. Let me start by saying that parking at Granville island is confusing. The sign state 1100 - 1800. I am assuming that it means pay parking between 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. but would it have cost that much extra for two more colons on the parking signs? Were seated immediately at a table near an open door. It was sunny but cool. We asked if the door could be closed as there was a draft on my mother but they advised they could not close the door as it was being used by the servers to access the patrons on patio. Fair enough. They offered to move us, as the restaurant wasn't busy, and the new table was fine... although oddly I noted that within less than 10 minutes, they closed the door to the patio even though there were still patron on the patio. Food was good. We started with the Fried Humbolt Squid, Fresh Oysters, Salt Spring Island Muscles and Skillet Baked Cheese Bread. Our mains were baked Mac'N Cheese, Steelhead Salmon, Haida Gwaii Halibut and West Coast Paella. I found the rice in the Paella a little soft but that could just be me. Finished off with the Semolina Cake Parfait to finish. Quite sweet but very good. Service was very attentive. The patio and the windows face the East so a view of the Marina. Benefit is that there is no setting sun shining in and overheating the place. Also, less foot traffic around.

We were on vacation in Vancouver and we were taking a Sunset Whale Watching cruise that left from Granville Island. We arrived early to have a late lunch before our 4:30p time for the cruise. Our concierge at the hotel had suggest Dockside Restaurant as a restaurant with a beautiful view. We were on vacation, of course we want to look at the water every chance we could. Dockside did not disappoint. We were seated on the patio outside overlooking the water. Not next to the water since those tables looked very casual like a cabana with low table and larger comfy sofas. We wanted the traditional table and chair. It was a beautiful sunny clear day with a light breeze. Perfect day to sit outside and enjoy our lunch. Laurie was our waiter and was very attentive. My husband like restaurants that ensure his drink of Arnold Palmer are always full. Laurie did a wonderful job ensuring he had multiple glasses of his drink. The food was delicious and the ambiance was relaxing with the water. We even enjoyed dessert. We enjoyed Dockside Restaurant very much and would recommend this as a place to stop and enjoy the view while eating a delicious meal and drinks.

My family went to Dockside for dinner to treat my sibling for a Birthday dinner and sadly for a fine dining establishment, it was disappointing. Pros: Relaxing atmosphere and nice view of the false creek harbour. Servers friendly and unobtrusive. Cocktails are tasty (I recommend the Georgia peach). Cons: Prices for the food and cocktails are steep and the quantity and quality they provided were inconsistent. Cocktail prices are on par with the Appetizer prices- $16 + . My sister & sister in law ordered the $25 Seared scallops for appetizers to share. The portions were small and @4 pieces. Unfortunately they were still raw inside. The asked to have new ones and this time they were fully cook but they only gave 3 pieces (not cool!). My other siblings both ordered the Caesar salad-1 was over garlicky & the other under garlicky. Burger was dry and bland even though it had tiny speck of onions. The Carbonara pasta was ultra salty (Felt like eating a box of salt). I tried squeezing lemon to counteract the saltiness but It could not save it. I had to return it back and instead tried the $21 warm mushroom salad plus $12 chicken. It was delicious but I compared it to my sister in laws dish who ordered the same and my portions were way more bigger in size!!! Her salad size was the portion of an 6 oz. Bowl while mine was@10 oz. I would not recommend Dockside for Dinner.

The location and staff are awesome. The food not so much. The chef tries to hard. To fancy with what should be easy. Sent back the oysters - who does that? Paella not eatable. Seafood so dry not, laid on top of the dish. No flavor. Lovely Wait staff, great wine and the hotel - Awesome But can not in good conscience recommend this restaurant. Very disappointed

Beautiful location, great view. We were seated right away, no wait time ! High quality breakfast., huge portions. Everything was so delicious, service was excellent. A little steep on the price but definitely well worth it. We loved breakfast here!

My experience at Dockside unfortunately wasn't the best. I'm not sure if they were just having an off day but, we came to this restaurant for our friend's birthday and the service here wasn't up to par. Long wait on the food & they were not even busy but, the plating for mine (Smoked Sablefish) was nice so props to them for presentation. Some of my friends didn't enjoy their meals and I got to taste my friend's mashed potatoes and it was not good... I think the worst part was that when we asked to split the bill it took ages for us to be able to pay for our meal. The atmosphere is okay, they have a nice entrance

The food was good, nothing spectacular. This restaurant is actually in the lobby of a hotel. Our server ranged from cheerful to serve to annoyed for having to work. Note that there are no beverages log any kind listed on the menu. There are only 6-10 items available and when I visited, they were out of 20% of the menu offerings. For the price, Left feeling unsatisfied.

I have always wanted to try dockside as it's voted Vancouver's best patio! The views did not disappoint! Situated in Granville island inside the Granville Island hotel, this spot feels like you're on vacation. The details are stunning, black&white, beautiful seating and of course, views of the city and docks. Now, the food was good, but nothing amazing. The Classic benny had a good sauce, but i had asked to swap out the ham for bacon (which was a $2 charge, no thanks). The plate was $20, but you do pay for the experience. The serving size was pretty decent, and the potatoes were tasty! The service was decent, but nothing amazing. The hostess was a bit stressed and not the friendliest. I would definitely visit again, but maybe for a drink or happy hour! I'd recommend visiting just to get that stunning view and enjoy the experience.

You can enjoy fantastic views of False Creek when dining from the patio at the Dockside Restaurant.  They have patio seating by the water.  Some seatings have sun shades sail and heat lamp/firepot.  That totally made our remarkable night! Dockside Restaurant is located at a tourist location on Granville Island.  You can enjoy having a walk on the Granville Island Public Market before dinner or taking a walk around the coast after dinner.  It is such a great option if you are looking for a place for an evening date.   The address is 1253 Johnston Street (inside the Granville Island Hotel). Their patio is beautiful! I was greeted by a very friendly host, she really started my experience off in a positive note. We had the option to choose which table we wanted to sit which was great because not often do guests get to choose. Our server, Robert was patient when we needed a few minutes with the menu. The food was absolutely delicious, everything we ordered was shared between 2 people. What stood out to me were their pork belly bites; super tender and flavourful. I wish the carpaccio had a bit more dressing on top but overall, really good experience. I would definitely come back for another visit!

My dad wanted to have "lunch with a view", so I picked this place because it had been on my restaurant bucket list for awhile. It was a sunny Saturday afternoon when my parents and I visited Dockside. Granville Island was crazy busy, but thankfully the restaurant's location inside the Granville Island Hotel is away from the more touristy areas of the island, so we were able to find parking relatively easily. Once seated inside the restaurant, we used our phones to look at the menu (they provided QR codes too). Here's what we ordered: 1. Stuffed French Toast (dad's dish): Aside from being the largest French toast I've ever seen, this giant bread baby was packed full of flavour! It had all the makings of a good, classic French toast (fluffy bread with a little bit of crisp along the edges and a soft, custardy centre), as well as a few creative twists to make it extra special (limoncello honey and vanilla mascarpone filling). The use of mascarpone, along with fresh raspberries and mint, made the dish feel lighter and stopped it from becoming overly sweet. I also really enjoyed the added texture of the pistachios. Overall, phenomenal dish! 2. Breakfast Pudding (mom's dish): I wasn't expecting this wild rice and chia pudding to be sweet, but that's what it was! Perhaps that's because of the pumpkin spice flavour, which hit my tastebuds immediately. The texture of the pudding, and the various toppings, was on point. I've never been a fan of breakfast puddings, but this I would have another serving of. 3. Mac & Cheese Skillet (my dish): Until now, my mac and cheese cravings have gone unsatisfied. Many restaurants past have disappointed me with their mac and cheese offerings. I'm happy to report that this was NOT the case at Dockside! Theirs is, without a doubt, THE BEST mac and cheese I've gotten from a restaurant. Finally, I got everything I was looking for! The pasta was cooked al dente; the sauce was creamy without ever getting too heavy; the gooey, cheesy top layer created nice, long cheese strands as I continued to dig in with my fork; the breadcrumbs added some crunch AND were seasoned well; the chopped herbs provided a bit of freshness; and the whole dish stayed warm no matter how far along I was in eating it. Suffice to say, when I took that first bite, I was in bliss. This mac and cheese was the ultimate comfort food that I had been yearning for! I'm very, very happy now. I dare say that the professionalism of the staff and the deliciousness of the food surpassed how fantastic the waterfront view was. Whether you go here "just because" like my family did or to celebrate a special occasion, you can count on Dockside to make your experience unforgettable.

Go to this restaurant when on Granville Island. Always solid food and service. Not to touristy. Was a nice treat after some bad spots lately. Server was an older gentleman and total pro. So he received an excellent tip for a job well done.

Came here with friends and it was so beautiful and right by the water! The view was just relaxing while having drinks with the girls! The food was pretty good and the wine kept coming. It was a fun time with trying different glasses of wine with seafood! By the time the desert came, we could no longer eat anymore! We just packed it up to go! Sadly, haven't been back in a while so I'll make it a goal to visit soon!

Beautiful view, but that is all I can say for this restaurant. The host/hostess's are rude and make you feel like you are doing them a favour for coming to their restaurant- when you are a guest of the hotel. 3 times now it has been awful. We went for breakfast to an empty restaurant and they said they couldn't take us, we didn't have a reservation. There were maybe 3 tables taken. Apparently overwhelmed and understaffed. Hoped for a good experience but all around the host/hostess ruined it for us too many times.

Came here for my moms birthday and was blown away by the stunning seaside patio. Overall service was good, not above average or anything but the waitress was nice and tended to us when we needed without long wait periods. The pork belly bites and scallop appetizers were incredible. I highly recommend ordering those. All the food tasted great, no complaints. Only thing is the menu items are quite pricey, however portions are pretty big. Except the halibut (which I ordered). 40$ and was quite small compared to the rest of my family's. Besides that I would definitely return for another formal event

They're improving! I've been here several times over the years as I have family that love staying at Granville Island hotel. Recently, I've noticed they're upping their game (maybe a new chef?). The food tastes good, it's fresh and seems to be utilizing more local ingredients. The location is gorgeous, right on the water at False Creek - beautiful at night as well. It sort of feels like a tucked away hidden secret. The service is great but could be tad more polished. They're improving at modifications as well but it's still a little bit of an arm twist to get them to modify dishes to customer preference - not difficult just harder than it should be. In the summer time the patio might be one of the best in the city. Try it out, I think you'll like it.

Dockside should definitely be on your list for special events or date nights! It's so gorgeous and the patio is one of the best I've seen in Vancouver. Food is of higher quality for sure and upscale customer service. All dishes we ordered were delicious and so was the wine. I really enjoyed the beets with cheese!! It's such a great combination. I tried re-making it at home but I guess I just have to come back here for more. The chocolate dessert tasted more like a pumpkin dessert for me because of the spices. It was soo good, either way. I'll come back again!

Booked a patio table for 6 people this weekend. The view is spectacular and nice ambiance. Great place for special occasions or just to get a group of your bubble friends together to dine outside. The food was all delicious: Knotty garlic bread, Kale Caesar salad, beef carpaccio; BBQ baby back ribs; Grilled Humbolt Squid and Confit Duck Leg. I had the maple bacon beer and it was so smooth and refreshing on a warm summer evening. Our waitress was nice but forgot us a few times; however, whenever we raised our hands someone came by. I would certainly comeback and hope to get table by the fireplace next time. Many only beef is that we used our entertainment coupons and the coupons clear states the discount is on the entree which we had to re-discuss with the manager a few times. This was the only disappointing part of our evening as my friend had no problem with the coupon on a previous visit.

You're mostly paying here for the view. I ordered the paella but it had many shrimps still with bits of shells mixed in (had to chew through to find it). I don't think it was cleaned carefully. There were also carrots and peas in the $30 paella - they looked like frozen store bought vegetables. My boyfriend got the salmon and it wasn't particularly impressive or special. The best part of this place is the customer service.

Pretty decent, nothing too crazy to write home about was delicious lobster risotto. The wine upcharge are insane tho..

Beautiful restaurant. I was seated in the patio and the view and patio area is amazing. The food was good for the most part but I tried their cioppino which was just okay. I started with the confit duck salad which I enjoyed. I didn't love the dessert selection either and went for whatever chocolate option was available, I think it was a torte. It was delicious but extremely rich and the serving was generous - enough for 2. Share dessert! Our server was great, and service overall was good. It got a little chilly in the evening and unfortunately the standing heaters did not work but I was given a couple blankets to stay warm.

One star for service, three for restaurant. The food fresh and creative. Portions very ample. It was breakfast service that was quite lackluster. When confronted with lack of service, waiter responded with accusations of my being abusive. Will give restaurant a second chance.

We attended dockside as a group celebrating a special occasion. Our group size shifted from 6 to 8 people rather last minute and the staff was happy to come up with solutions to help us. Enjoy our time and future Vancouver's lovely view. With a number of guests visiting from out of town, it was important to be situated close enough to the windows that they could look out for the city view on the water. Our service person Laura was wonderful. She had a great personality was knowledgeable about all the dishes on the menu and unruffled buy a small child being part of the party. Now, sometimes in group settings, it can feel perhaps unfair, or burdensome that the gratuity is added automatically irrespective of the service during the meal. Laura was so helpful we increased the gratuity across-the-board. Regarding the food, dockside chefs are always top-notch in my experience over the years. I was a bit hesitant around the current menu, but as a seafood eater, I thought there were lots of choices, including a delicious sable fish that was cooked to perfection and served with a surprisingly tasty blend of lentils, sun-dried tomato in a very plentiful creamy sauce. Of course items that were previously gratis Now have a definite cost, namely the bread basket of four small rolls at just under $10. The dinner portioning was small to average. At the table we had mains of sable fish, salmon, seafood paella, skillet mac & cheese, children's menu; chicken strips, and fries, brisket, and starters of fresh oysters, seared scallops, squid with fingerling potatoes and french fries with a spicy aïoli. The after dinner tea had a lovely presentation in a clear tea pot that served at least two portions. Between the sides and the main courses, everyone felt quite full and happy with the choices. The only course which we felt needed some review and reconsideration (not around the lovely presentation), but the truly extra small portioning for the double digit pricing. One of the truly lovely things about Dockside and it being part of a hotel is that folks are comfortable with a range of outfit choices from casual to dressy eveningwear. It's a great location to showcase Vancouver food and local drinks with out-of-town folks.

I came here on a Sunday during a visit to Granville Island. Unfortunately they only have their brunch menu on weekends but I made the best of it. Our waiter was very attentive and happy to give us some suggestions. I love French toast so I ordered their stuffed French toast. It was a pretty large portion and I loved the fruit toppings. I was also happy to see they had sangria on the menu so I ordered some of that. You also get a great view of the dockside and nearby park.

We were thinking of spots to enjoy brunch together with the fam today as it's one of the fleeting warm, sunny days in Vancouver this year. The criteria included an outdoor patio, preferably with a view, and a brunch menu as my husband's fave meal of the day is breakfast and my mum is not an early riser. We ran through the list of usual suspects when I proposed Dockside - surprisingly, I was the only one who had been here. We weren't able to make a reservation online for the patio, but decided to chance it and try our luck for a walk-in at 11:30AM today. Success! The front of house team welcomed us and actually scanned our vaccine passports (!), which we were super happy to see since many establishments are still not doing this despite the new laws. We got a great partially-shaded spot on their patio overlooking False Creek (see pic). I ordered the avocado toast (with organic whole grain & honey toast, alfalfa sprouts, heirloom tomatoes, sunflower seeds, za'atar and added a soft-poached egg), and both my husband and mum ordered the smoked meat breakfast sandwich (house-made montreal smoked meat, fried egg, provolone, alfalfa sprouts, horseradish mayo, sesame brioche) with salad. To drink, I ordered their breakfast tea, my husband had the coffee, and mum had the grapefruit juice. The presentation of my avocado toast was nice (see pic), and the egg was soft as requested though the flavour of the dish was surprisingly bland... Pretty disappointing for toast that cost over $20. It definitely needed something, even just a citrus/acidic drizzle of some sort on top. I wasn't super hungry this morning so the portion size was perfect for me, but I do think that they should adjust the price or add something on the side. Both my husband and mum loved their smoked meat breakfast sandwiches (see pic) - the meat was piled high, and the sesame brioche bun was a hit. Both mentioned it was quite salty (which is saying something since they are both salt enthusiasts), so if that's not a plus for you, you may want to factor that into your menu choice. Husband and mum agreed that getting the side salad was the right choice as it was tasty, fresh, and because they both probably could have done with half the sandwich and been okay (if taking the other half for later), though the fries would have been way too much. When it comes to service, this is where they lost a star for me. Our server was pretty abrupt and frankly, rude at the beginning. We had sat down and she asked us about drinks, we said we were just waiting on one more person before ordering and she stormed off. I'm not sure what was going on behind the scenes, because there was nothing on our end. She sort of recovered through the end of service and was more friendly, but it was a bizarre encounter. That being said, everyone has their off days and let's leave it at that. The sprawling patio at Dockside really is what makes the experience, and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to enjoy some sunshine and a view. We look forward to going back for another brunch date and splitting the stuffed French toast, as we saw this dish going to a few tables today and it looked delicious! When life goes back to some semblance of normal post-COVID and the theatre and comedy shows start up again, this would also be a nice spot to go for a drink and a bite before or after a show.

Came here for lunch and ordered oysters to start. I had the steak salad and my friend had the clam pasta. The service here is unbelievably slow. Definitely not the first class service of Victor or Cioppinos. The wait staff were all running around and didn't seem to be in order. The food was ok but my steak was very stringy and overpriced for what it was. Tasted ok but too expensive. The pasta was very tasty but no better than any other pasta joint downtown. Glad we tried but will not be recommending or returning. Had to hunt down our server Gord as he seemed to be oblivious to that fact that having finished our food we wanted the bill or at least an offer of the dessert menu. So many better options out there!!! Going to C-Prime next for a better experience! Disappointing sadly.

There are so many good things about Dockside. We arrived here for lunch at about noon on Monday. The restaurant was pretty empty at the time, but quickly filled. The food: I started with the chowder, it had many different bits of seafood in it, all delicious and perfectly cooked. It was also a very sizable portion. Next, I had the wok squid. It was absolutely amazing, the garlic and spicy flavors were great. Others at my table enjoyed the CBLTAB and the Philly Cheesesteak. The fries were also good. There are also multiples gluten free options available (marked on the menu) and they are allergen friendly. The drinks: my husband and friend were unsure of which beer they wanted, so the waitress quickly offered tasters of the two they were deciding between. They both enjoyed their beers. The service was phenomenal. Very attentive and helpful. All in all, a great experience. I'd definitely return.

The patio is one of the best in Vancouver. You will be pleased to sit here for a few hours with friends and drinks on a beautiful sunny day, with the view of downtown Vancouver's skyline across the water. The service is excellent. The rest of it, is nothing to write home about. The food has never been the reason for going back to this restaurant.

Do not go to Dockside, aside from the lack of parking because of construction that they have failed to let their guests know. We were met with very rude serving staff saying that that parking is it not their responsibility, unstandable. However you could have some compassion for the people wanting to spend money at your restaurant. On top of that when asked to speak to a manager, the manager was rude and walked away when I attempted to mention the issue.

This place is great for a date night, family gatherings or a special event, like Thanksgiving dinner. We came here for Thanksgiving because they have a traditional turkey dinner for the long weekend. Overall, I'm super happy with my experience here. - 4/5 for food: we have Pesto Baked Brie for appetizer, super good. There're nothing you can complain about baked brie melting in your mouth with a mixture of garlic, sun-dried tomatoes and olive, serving with warm baguette (and by warm, it's actually super hot). We all have Turkey dinner (in the picture) which has everything you would ask for Thanksgiving dinner: turkey, mash potatoes, stuffing, cranberries jam, and grilled veggies. Super delicious! - 4/5 for drinks: I'm not super impressed with their cocktails but their seasonal beers are awesome! There's one that brew with chocolate and caramel malt that just blow my mind! They also have some healthy choice like tomatoes juice. - 4/5 for desserts: their desserts portion is often generous. The chocolate cake served w espresso icecream is huge while the apple pie is slightly smaller. A cake would easily satisfy 3 to 4 ppl. Both tastes delicious, especially the apple pie. - 4/5 for service: They do take reservations so it makes our lives easier, especially for a Saturday Thanksgiving night. The server came at a decent frequent. The place is quite fancy, in a hotel, so if you make a reservation and would like to have a dock view to the city, ask for window table. I was there at their peak time where all table are filled but it was not too noisy. - 3/5 for price: I admit it's a bit expensive but the portion is quite big. And with what we had, we are on the verge of exploding!

Very nice setting for a hotel restaurant. Our family had Saturday morning breakfast. Most ordered the full breakfast with eggs, bangers, potatoes, and sour dough toast. The potatoes were the star here and the bangers were great. I had the breakfast bowl and it is something I'll crave. Wild rice, seeds, raisins, craisins, and a touch of mint among other things. Delicious. Very generous serving. Good coffee. Recommend.

Horrible service. Was there for a work issue. Would not accommodate a diabetic needs with substitution for the carbs, water glasses were not filled and service was super slow. There were server change and they could not get the dinner order in or filled in a reasonable time. What a disappointment!

Patio patio patio!!! What a beautiful view!! If you are looking for a great summertime patio for happy hour or a special occasion dinner, then I highly recommend the Dockside. Situated in Granville island, their very large patio has wonderful Marina and ocean views! Great for photo ops or just kicking it with a glass of vino! Happy Hour is 3-6pm. 5 ounce house red and white wine for $7. The vineyard is Open. In house sleeves of beer are $4, and high balls are $6. Happy also includes a small menu of light (but fried) bites ranging from $8-10. Service was pretty good, which I anticipated at this more expensive restaurant, and our server was well informed of both the wine list and the menu. She was also both personable and friendly, which made for fun chit chat. I wasn't in the mood to eat anything from the happy hour menu so I decided to try out their Forno pizzas. I choose the Cilantro Cashew Pesto Chicken pizza. My pizza was presented tastefully with 8 pieces of pesto-cheesy goodness on a hand-made and hand-tossed crust. $22, but very flavorful and not greasy at all. Provolone cheese, tomatoes, chicken, and green onions on a pesto sauce with a very yummy crust. The kind of crust where you want to eat it all! I blinked at it was gone. Yes, I almost ate the whole thing myself. :D I will order it again when I go back, or another pizza because they all sound creative and yummy!!

One Star for the service ! To begin with, It took 20 minutes for our waiter, Alan, taking our orders! We sat down at 7:50pm, and our main course didn't get to served till 9:23pm. Yes we ordered appetizers : bread & butter , 6 oysters, Burrata and Wagyu carpaccio. All this time he DID NOT check on us or update us once!, He seemed too busy taking care and chatting with other tables. When we asked what happened to our food, his excuse is that he's trying to course it out. Really, is that the reason ? Only he knows!!

Came here for the Mother's Day bottomless brunch. Location is great and the had tons of options but I'm not sure if that makes up for the subpar food that cost a pretty penny. It was $89 per person which is on the higher range compared to other restaurants providing a similar Mother's Day service. The first batch of options were baked items like croissant, lemon loaf and banana loaf. All of them were dry, and tasted like they were store bought. As for the main dishes (ex. Eggs Benny, rice pudding, yogurt parfait), there wasn't anything I planned on ordering a second time. Would I go back? Probably not, but maybe one day with some improvements.
