We ordered lobster mac and cheese and fried scallops and shrimps and it was very enjoyable. Prices are very fair. It's mostly a pick up place but there are some counter seats and some outside tables.

Great location for West Cape May and CM Pointers to pick up your seafood. Great fresh seafood. My go-to location when I want to have a nice home made seafood dish. Highly recommend the giant shrimp, scallops and the Halibut. I have replicated some of the recipes in Cape Mays finest restaurants from DDs seafood, such as Cricket Club’s Halibut special. For my daughter’s birthday I made shrimp and scallops scampi and modified it to a carbonara with casarecce pasta. The seafood always so good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!🍤🐟 7/6/25 update - added photos. Look at those halibut “steaks”. Perfectly cut thick like a filet mignon. This place has great Seafood…..Having halibut tonight with corn on the cob and Jersey tomatoes topped with fresh mozzarella basil and basalmic glaze.

Dockside Dave's is the real deal when it comes to fresh seafood. From the moment you walk in, you can tell they take pride in their food. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. I started with the clam chowder, and it was creamy, rich, and loaded with clams. For my main course, I had the broiled salmon, and it was cooked to perfection. The fish was moist and flavorful, with a light char that added a smoky sweetness. The sides were also delicious, especially the calamari. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, and she made sure we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a top-notch seafood experience, Dockside Dave's is the place to go!

Run don’t walk. Amazing lobster rolls, both Maine and Connecticut…fresh, made with love. Amazing crew working the shop. Old school but with a new school vibe. And they have Brisk ice tea which I haven’t seen in years!!

The best, most fresh seafood on Cape May Island! Dockside Dave's has the best halibut and salmon I have ever eaten, anywhere, rivaling the top restaurants (and surpassing many of them) for sure, in quality and quantity (and preparation if you order it prepared). And, they are very reasonably priced for a broiled platter of Halibut or Salmon with coleslaw (outstanding!!!) and choice of French fries, backed potato, rice or more slaw - $28 and $26 respectively. You can't beat this value! Or buy the fish and take it home to prepare your own way - it is superb!!! The crab cake is also the best on the island and HUGE! It feeds 2, unless you are super duper hungry. I can't wait to go back and try the lobster roll or scampi dishes. They also have fried platters as well as the broiled platters. Their shrimp are HUGE too! And the scallops looked divine! Going back as many times as possible on my stay here in Cape May and highly recommend you do that too! They are open at 10am every day except Mondays and are an excellent choice for lunch or dinner or take home. Bon Appetite!

The Fried Shrimp, Fried Scallops and Fried Flounder was truly delicious. The Cole slaw was pretty bad. The baked potato was done to perfection. Store is immaculately clean. Cashier was very sweet. Will definitely be making numerous trip back this summer.

First time with my husband and I and everything tasted amazing and fresh. I got the connecticut lobster roll and he got the fried flounder platter and the dock fries. The Dock fries was the ultimate favorite! Did not disappoint 🙌🏽👏🏼 will come back again!

Google
Highly recommend ! I have tried their food from their food truck at lazy bass in the past and wanted to try their takeout in town. Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the crabcake platter for the price. Grabbed some excellent broccoli salad from their grab and go fridge. Definitely would stop in again on my way home from work to try something new next time.

Yelp
Came here around lunch time and had a great time! Sitting at the tables in the Sandy area with the dogs was perfect. We got the dock fries from here and shrimp tacos from the truck next door and both were great! The Dock fries were tasty and had a good amount of crab meat on top. Next time I come back I'll definitely be trying their jumbo lump crab cake sandwich!

Yelp
I'm not sure if this market is new to the area but it strikes me as that. They have a bunch of fresh seafood options to buy and bring home and they also have a kitchen where they cook the seafood for you. The staff here are so wonderful and friendly, definitely making you feel comfortable to ask any questions or just chat about seafood. I had the lobster mac & cheese which was 1000/10, the lobster roll which is I'd give a 7.5/10, and I bought a jar of the crab salsa which is a 9/10. I would love to come back here to try more of the menu!

Yelp
I'm surprised that there was no reviews about this place. It's definitely a hidden gem in Cape May. It's basically a seafood market, but it sells produce, chips, and other grocery products. They have lunch menu. Not expansive but the star of the menu is definitely the lobster roll. My husband said it was better than the one in the main eatery in Cape May. The brioche was soft and nicely toasted, good amount of lobster. You can also buy just the lobster salad by the pound. Fried calamari is highly recommended. Great breading, so crunchy and the breading didn't fall apart. It's a family business. Everyone there were so friendly and welcoming. They had huge scallops and big uncooked crab cakes with no filler. Also salmon, shrimps, tuna, and other fish. The gentleman explained the best way to cook it. In the freezer on the right you can find frozen king crab and dungenese crabs. They were very accommodating to my request for putting the scallops in a plastic container instead of plastic bag. You can follow their instagram for the food truck schedule. I recommend this place for seafood, also to support local business. It closes on Mondays

Yelp
If you're going to get fresh seafood get in there early as they have a great selection. I also really enjoyed their lobster rolls and peel and eat shrimp. They don't have a liquor license so they don't sell beers which would have made it even better but you can't complain at all with their food and fresh catch. Will be back!

Yelp
Our party of 4 ate at Dockside Daves two days in a row. We tasted a variety of the menu items from soup & salad to entrees . Everything was outstanding and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant

Yelp
I can't say enough about this amazing place. I am there every day buying the most fresh seafood. From the soups to the crabcakes, you cannot go wrong. 10 out of 10! And it definitely beats going to lobster house for seafood.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Literally one of the best lobster rolls and crab cake sandwiches we've ever had. So fresh, buns were perfect, wow. Crab cake had little to no filler, all crab. Very friendly staff and reasonably priced for what you get. Can't believe more people don't know about this place. Can not wait to come back!

Yelp
Super friendly people, very good food. Best crabcake this Maryland boy has found in Cape May.
