Fantastic restaurant/seafood shop!!! Me and my wife were just walking around, looking for something to eat and just stumbled across this place. BLEW US AWAY!!! I got the shrimp po boy, it was so fresh, shrimp crispy and flavorful! Really good hoagie roll too! My wife got a pound of steamed shrimp and was also incredibly impressed. Highly recommend, A++

We stumbled on Dockside Dave’s during a bike ride today and we’re so happy we did! Don’t let “Seafood Market” throw you, in addition to fresh seafood they prepare delicious appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, and Entrees. My friends and I had the Lobster Roll and P.O. Boy sandwiches which were served on fresh bread. The lobster roll had big chunks of Lobster and the P.O. Boy was loaded with large breaded shrimp. We will definitely be back!

We had the seafood scampi and a Caesar salad. Shrimp and scallops were cooked to perfection. Crab mix was very tasty. All this over linguine covered in a creamy sauce. Delightful! Everything is take out but we are ate the outside eating bar setup with stools. Definitely worth it.

Take out seafood uncooked and cooked food to go is phenomenal!! Cannot wait until you open again. James & I will be there the Wednesday before Thanksgiving & leaving the Monday morning afterward, but I know you are not open until before Christmas. Great addition to Cape May ! Super fresh local fish at the counter, with lots of delicious lunch options to choose from. Bonus little farm stand inside with some fresh fruits and veggies, provisions like fresh made bruschetta, seaweed salad, mango salad, chips and pretzels, sauces, desserts, etc. They were super accommodating when I said I needed lobster salad to make some “semi-homemade” rolls at home, priced it out for me by the pound, with rolls and lemons from the indoor farm stand. Grabbed a variety of different chips and was on my way! The family loved the lobster rolls, huge chunks of fresh juicy lobster meat lightly dressed. Very friendly, family owned and operated team. We will definitely be back to try more of their staple sandwiches to bring to the beach!

As Cape May regulars, we have often struggled to find superior dining experiences that don’t break the bank. We searched for an easy carry out option, and happened upon Dockside Dave’s. For 4 people, our total was more than reasonable for the excellent food we received! We ordered crabcake sandwiches, steamers, the clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, and 2 sides of fries. Everything was amazing, and we would highly recommended carrying out from Dockside Dave’s.

Great service. Arugula on the po boy is fresh. Sandwich is super tasty. I’m not usually a fan of lobster rolls that have mayo, but this was absolutely delicious. Also calamari is melt in your mouth good 🔥 can’t wait to have this place again next time we are in the area

Don't be fooled by the pictures. Lobster roll was about half the size of what is pictured and it came on a stale hotdog roll. The fried fish sandwich had good fresh lettuce and tomato but the fish was bland. For the price and expectations based on other reviews we were left disappointed and still hungry.

Came here around lunch time and had a great time! Sitting at the tables in the Sandy area with the dogs was perfect. We got the dock fries from here and shrimp tacos from the truck next door and both were great! The Dock fries were tasty and had a good amount of crab meat on top. Next time I come back I'll definitely be trying their jumbo lump crab cake sandwich!

I'm not sure if this market is new to the area but it strikes me as that. They have a bunch of fresh seafood options to buy and bring home and they also have a kitchen where they cook the seafood for you. The staff here are so wonderful and friendly, definitely making you feel comfortable to ask any questions or just chat about seafood. I had the lobster mac & cheese which was 1000/10, the lobster roll which is I'd give a 7.5/10, and I bought a jar of the crab salsa which is a 9/10. I would love to come back here to try more of the menu!

I'm surprised that there was no reviews about this place. It's definitely a hidden gem in Cape May. It's basically a seafood market, but it sells produce, chips, and other grocery products. They have lunch menu. Not expansive but the star of the menu is definitely the lobster roll. My husband said it was better than the one in the main eatery in Cape May. The brioche was soft and nicely toasted, good amount of lobster. You can also buy just the lobster salad by the pound. Fried calamari is highly recommended. Great breading, so crunchy and the breading didn't fall apart. It's a family business. Everyone there were so friendly and welcoming. They had huge scallops and big uncooked crab cakes with no filler. Also salmon, shrimps, tuna, and other fish. The gentleman explained the best way to cook it. In the freezer on the right you can find frozen king crab and dungenese crabs. They were very accommodating to my request for putting the scallops in a plastic container instead of plastic bag. You can follow their instagram for the food truck schedule. I recommend this place for seafood, also to support local business. It closes on Mondays

If you're going to get fresh seafood get in there early as they have a great selection. I also really enjoyed their lobster rolls and peel and eat shrimp. They don't have a liquor license so they don't sell beers which would have made it even better but you can't complain at all with their food and fresh catch. Will be back!

Our party of 4 ate at Dockside Daves two days in a row. We tasted a variety of the menu items from soup & salad to entrees . Everything was outstanding and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant

I can't say enough about this amazing place. I am there every day buying the most fresh seafood. From the soups to the crabcakes, you cannot go wrong. 10 out of 10! And it definitely beats going to lobster house for seafood.

This place is amazing! Literally one of the best lobster rolls and crab cake sandwiches we've ever had. So fresh, buns were perfect, wow. Crab cake had little to no filler, all crab. Very friendly staff and reasonably priced for what you get. Can't believe more people don't know about this place. Can not wait to come back!

fresh. hot. enormous portions. enough left overs for another meal. delicious crab cake is all crab. outdoor counter seating . traffic noise. friendly staff. shrimp are 4 times size of an ordinary shrimp. also is a seafood market with fresh uncooked seafood and various sundry items . small place. $50 for two dinners . about a couple of miles from lighthouse on same road.
