Doctor Sax House

Our stay at Doctor Sax House was absolutely perfect. The hotel room was stunning—beautifully decorated with such attention to detail that it felt both stylish and inviting. One of the best surprises? Dyson hair dryers in the room—such a thoughtful luxury touch that made us feel truly pampered. Every corner felt curated with care, and it’s clear that comfort and design go hand in hand here. We can’t wait to go back, and honestly, we won’t stay anywhere else in Lenox.

Long overdue review! My husband and I stayed here for a weekend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and had an amazing time. The house is exquisitely designed and very well thought out. The room was very comfortable and clean, the bedding, linens and bath products were all top notch. The bar was great, I’m obsessed with the fireplace and wall paper, drinks were great. All staff members were welcoming, polite and eager to make our stay special. The location is very convenient. I could keep going on about the tastefully designed spaces, including a nice lounge area by another fireplace.

Everything at our stay at Dr Sax House was wonferful! The location, decor, vibe, service, staff were all amazing. We stayed for one night and ate dinner, breakfast and got cocktails at Dr. Sax House. It is right on the main street in Lenox which is also a plus. The hotel/inn/bed and breakfast exudes luxury from the welcome snacks to the upscale european-style decor to the salt and stone bathroom products and dyson hairdryer! We would definitely return for this place specifically!

We had the best stay at Doctor Sax House! Our room was gorgeous—beautifully decorated and so cozy. I loved all the little details, and I couldn’t believe they even had Dyson hair dryers in the room… such a game changer! It really felt like every detail was thought of. We can’t wait to go back and honestly won’t stay anywhere else in Lenox.

We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Doctor Sax House and had an absolutely incredible experience. The space is truly stunning and throughout the process Kelly was extremely accommodating, flexible, and generous. Rebecca went above and beyond to decorate the space and create fun florals and cocktail arrangements for our event (I don't know of another venue that would invest in creating beautiful design and decor elements for those renting their space). We were so pleasantly surprised and didn't have to lift a finger which was so helpful when planning a wedding. I'd highly recommend having any wedding event with Doctor Sax!

Stayed 2 days recently. Great place! Nicely remodeled with a great bar. Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the pumpkin decorations for fall. In the historic Lenox center. So, close to numerous restaurants. Highly recommend

Doctor Sax House has such a fun, cool vibe! The property maintains its historic Berkshire charm (but elevated!) with carefully curated decor, food, and drinks. The rooms are chic, yet homey with all of the amenities you might need, and the staff will ensure you feel taken care of throughout your stay. Wish I had more time to stay - can't wait to come back!

Very convenient location. A bit confusing finding front door..maybe a small sign would help. Reception very friendly & check-in was smooth. Our room was very clean & comfortable. Decor is modern hipster vibe. Bedroom decor was sparse. The downstairs bar seemed to be popular with guests & locals.

We had Thanksgiving dinner here and it was wonderful. We arrived early and my wife suggested we go inside and have a drink before dinner. Not having been here before I wasn't sure this was possible. Thankfully we went with her idea and it was no problem at all. We decided on having a pre dinner cocktail. My wife ordered one of their specials - passion fruit martini. I had a traditional gin martini, stirred, with olives. The bartender (Samuel) was great. Very attentive during our time at the bar. When our reservation time came around we were taken to the dining room. Butternut squash soup and popovers to start. Following that was a family style serving of turkey (white and dark meat), mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, green beans, stuffing, and gravy. Everything was delicious. We were offered seconds but neither my wife or I had room for any more. Dessert was a help yourself selection of pies - pumpkin, blueberry, apple, and pecan. I tried the pecan and blueberry. Both were delicious. Highly recommend eating here.
