Love this boutique hotel centrally located at the heart of the Berkshires. Great layout on the first floor - rooms with 3 fireplaces where you can cozy up + great music and an atmosphere in other parts of the property. The plush robes and bedding in the guest rooms which was a really nice touch. My wife’s words “chic and sophisticated.” Phenomenal experience all around.

What a wonderful experience at this beautiful boutique hotel in Lenox! Right on the square, perfect location. The rooms are clean, gorgeous, big, and all brand newly renovated. The staff was incredibly accommodating and kind. The bar Dulu had super interesting patrons, and their menu is great. It was a perfect fall weekend, and we will definitely be back. Awesome addition to the Berkshires!

Our surprise stay at Dr. Sax house was the highlight of an incredible last minute trip! We were given last minute tickets to see James Taylor on July 3rd and everything for miles was booked (and had been for over a year!) A local suggested that I give Dr. Sax a call even though they weren’t yet officially open. Kelly was unbelievably helpful and accommodating! Some of the rooms didn’t yet have beds in them and the decor on the first floor was in process, but that didn’t stop the team from making us feel like we were THE guests they had been preparing for for weeks!! The ROOMS were appointed flawlessly with every comfort thought of for relaxation. The showers were divine! The beds super comfortable! And the entire hotel including our room, was spotlessly clean - an incredible feat while under construction. We were on the top floor in a room with a skylight. The restaurant wasn’t fully open but Kelly and staff prepared a tasting menu set for Kings for us (and most of it was on the house- thank you again!!). The food was incredible- you must try the home made jam! The bar staff made us feel so welcome and allowed us to stay late, continuing our evening long after they retired (it was a soft open- and they were all working around the clock to make everything perfect!). The space is absolutely stunning and located right in town - walking distance to everything. Kelly accommodated our every request and made us feel at home. Stay here. I can’t imagine any place being better.

We had a great stay at the Doctor Sax House. Our room was clean and cozy. The bar has a super fun speak easy vibe that we loved. This Inn is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a getaway in the Berkshires.

I initially wanted to book a room here for a holiday birthday trip with friends. We wanted something with a younger atmosphere and some place that didn't allow pets for asthma and cleanliness reasons. This place hit the mark but when we went to book there were no pictures of the rooms, which really made everyone anxious to book here. I contacted the staff on Instagram and they said they would post some photos ASAP. It took a bad review warning folks it might be a scam for them to finally post photos, but they did do it! The owner was quite apologetic and took the feedback to heart. There are now photos of the accommodations on their site! You're welcome! Besides that snafu it seems like a really lovely hotel and bar. They seem to be just getting things together in the infancy of the hotel. Overall the rooms do look comfortable and the styling is modern and simple but looks very clean. I hope more reviewers will give this place a chance now that they can book ahead with a little more confidence.

We had not been to the Berkshires in over 20 years. We booked a last minute trip over the Columbus Day holiday. Found this gem of a boutique hotel by accident. The entire stay was nothing short of blissful! The minute you walk in you are transported to a bygone era of art and design. The rooms, the service, the food and cocktails were perfection! The warm and welcoming owners were the perfect added touch! We cannot wait to go back!

I was so excited to hop on Google and share my most recent experience at the lovely Doctor Sax House. This was my very first stay in the Berkshires and it did NOT disappoint. The design is chic and completely brand new / modern. The room was very spacious with high end decor. The shower was a dream! They also have a very gorgeous bar/restaurant called Dulu which was simply amazing. Cozy fireplaces, stunning wallpaper. Comfort meets elevated elegance. And so close to Manhattan - just a quick 2 hr 30 min drive away from this lovely place. Also it’s right in the town of Lenox, filled with shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. LOVELY!!

My company has hosted their holiday party at a number of locations throughout the Berkshires over the last few years, and it seems that this year's event at Doctor Sax House has been everyone's favorite by far. The atmosphere, drinks, and menu were above and beyond in quality–but above everything Kelly's responsiveness, organization, and ability to collaborate on our specific needs made every aspect of hosting a private event with Doctor Sax a. breeze. Their pricing model is fair and transparent, and all of my colleagues left the experience eager to come back as regular patrons of the dulu lounge. I'd highly recommend this space to anyone in need of a warm, upscale environment for an important event!

Yelp
We had Thanksgiving dinner here and it was wonderful. We arrived early and my wife suggested we go inside and have a drink before dinner. Not having been here before I wasn't sure this was possible. Thankfully we went with her idea and it was no problem at all. We decided on having a pre dinner cocktail. My wife ordered one of their specials - passion fruit martini. I had a traditional gin martini, stirred, with olives. The bartender (Samuel) was great. Very attentive during our time at the bar. When our reservation time came around we were taken to the dining room. Butternut squash soup and popovers to start. Following that was a family style serving of turkey (white and dark meat), mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, green beans, stuffing, and gravy. Everything was delicious. We were offered seconds but neither my wife or I had room for any more. Dessert was a help yourself selection of pies - pumpkin, blueberry, apple, and pecan. I tried the pecan and blueberry. Both were delicious. Highly recommend eating here.
