Long overdue review! My husband and I stayed here for a weekend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and had an amazing time. The house is exquisitely designed and very well thought out. The room was very comfortable and clean, the bedding, linens and bath products were all top notch. The bar was great, I’m obsessed with the fireplace and wall paper, drinks were great. All staff members were welcoming, polite and eager to make our stay special. The location is very convenient. I could keep going on about the tastefully designed spaces, including a nice lounge area by another fireplace.

Doctor Sax House has such a fun, cool vibe! The property maintains its historic Berkshire charm (but elevated!) with carefully curated decor, food, and drinks. The rooms are chic, yet homey with all of the amenities you might need, and the staff will ensure you feel taken care of throughout your stay. Wish I had more time to stay - can't wait to come back!

Three friends and I stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel in Lenox MA for the weekend. From the moment we walked through the door we were thoroughly impressed by the warm greeting from Myra and Kelly one of the owners. Everything was so inviting from the lit fireplaces, comfortable sofas and chairs and soft lighting to the well stocked bar and great bartender, Sam. He was a wiz at making some delicious cocktails and mocktails! Our dinner was so delicious, if you like mushrooms, definitely start with the Roasted Mushroom Board it was fantastic! The salmon was excellent as was the flank steak. Everything was cooked to perfection and although there were so many restaurants in Lenox we wanted to try, we opted to eat there on both nights. Both of our rooms were beautifully decorated, beds extremely comfortable, and every detail was thoughtfully curated. Cleanliness was definitely a priority, which we greatly appreciated!! We will definitely be back to the wonderful Doctor Sax House in the beautiful Berkshires!

Doctor Sax House has become my favorite spot in Lenox - third visit from NY and it keeps getting better. The cocktails are incredible, thoughtfully crafted and balanced. Cool vibe, welcoming, and was full of energy all weekend. The team is absolutely amazing and very attentive. If you're in Lenox or anywhere near the Berkshires make a stop at Doctor Sax House. It's a total gem, highly recommended.

My husband and I chose Doctor Sax House for our honeymoon get away! The room exceeded our expectation, the staff was so personable and highly recommend trying the restaurant and bar located inside the Inn. Such a fun and inviting place with great character and many different spaces to enjoy. A great stay if you’re seeking that upper echelon approachable feel.

We enjoyed our two-night stay at Doctor Sax House. The location is perfectly situated in downtown Lenox, making it easy to walk to cafes and shops or go for a (hilly!) run in the local area. The room was lovely with lots of little amenities, like a Dyson hair dryer and some free local snacks, that made it feel posh. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is that I think the price is high for what you get. I realize we were there in peak season, but even still. I think some small things, like a welcome drink or snack, would make the price feel more justified. It would be nice if the breakfast menu rotated; we were there for two fours and were given the same 4-5 options for breakfast each day. Lastly, there was bacon & sausage available but we would have appreciated non-pork meat offerings.

We had a wonderful stay at the Doctor Sax House. The hosts were extremely kind, generous and helpful. You can tell they are passionate about developing a memorable experience for their guests. The hotel is right in downtown Lenox, walkable to a great bookstore, Ventfort and delicious restaurants. The bar at the hotel is fabulous and so were the drinks! We hope to be back soon!

The staff at Doctor Sax House went above and beyond what was expected. If there was anything we needed they saw to it to make it happen. If something was not right they resolved it immediately. The decor in the restaurant/bar was really cool and the food was delicious. Lenox is a sweet town and a lovely charming get away from the hectic excitement of NYC. My husband and I can’t recommend Doctor Sax House enough for those looking for a quiet place to get away but still want a cool social atmosphere.

Yelp
We had Thanksgiving dinner here and it was wonderful. We arrived early and my wife suggested we go inside and have a drink before dinner. Not having been here before I wasn't sure this was possible. Thankfully we went with her idea and it was no problem at all. We decided on having a pre dinner cocktail. My wife ordered one of their specials - passion fruit martini. I had a traditional gin martini, stirred, with olives. The bartender (Samuel) was great. Very attentive during our time at the bar. When our reservation time came around we were taken to the dining room. Butternut squash soup and popovers to start. Following that was a family style serving of turkey (white and dark meat), mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, green beans, stuffing, and gravy. Everything was delicious. We were offered seconds but neither my wife or I had room for any more. Dessert was a help yourself selection of pies - pumpkin, blueberry, apple, and pecan. I tried the pecan and blueberry. Both were delicious. Highly recommend eating here.
