Dog House Drive In

I am visiting Albuquerque from out of state and this was one of the stops shown in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul that I wanted to see in person. I was there during the day so I didn’t get to see the sign lit up, but that’s okay. I dined in, the lady was very friendly. I got a cheeseburger with onions. It had pickles, tomatoes and I think maybe mustard and mayo. Very good burger. Overall it was a cute place. Not a ton of seating inside but pretty intimate, good experience. Lots of options. Also it was clean. I sat at the counter so I didn’t have to wait for a table or anything.

This place has it's own unique feel. To me it's reminiscent of a local mom and pop place called, "Hot Dog Junction" where I grew up. Dog House Drive In's menu is simple enough to not be complicated, but varied enough to be interesting. They can put together so many dishes without having to keep 100 items stocked. Plus, people are probably going there to get either a chili dog or fruit pie, amirite? Those are the only two I've tried, but they do them perfectly.

Still the best chilidog in the city!!! Countless local awards and never a disappointment. The Dog House has been a go to for me for a very very long time. My mom took me there when I was like 7 or 8 and I haven't stopped going

Went here cause of Jesse Pinkman. Didn’t get to see the sign lit up but that’s a-okay! I don’t eat beef so all I got was cheese and fries and wow it was the best even tho it’s simple. Cheap prices!

Came here because of BB and BCS, but was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Get the foot long chile cheese dog with onions, will not be disappointed. The corn dog and onion rings were also phenomenal. Good little dive. There’s limited seating, and the prices are a bit high, but good food nonetheless.

Nothing fancy here just good old style hot dogs. THAT and this place was a regular on breaking bad. My son got a chili dog here and said they're just a bit better than Sonic... But he loves Sonic. If you're a hot dog nut, you'll like this place.

Stopped by on our first night in Albuquerque, we received our food quickly and everything we got was delicious! Great prices, very straightforward and the shop is clean both inside and out. I'd recommend the hot dog and grilled cheese over a cheeseburger. Amazing thick shakes too!

Such a fun place! I wanted to get some shots of the neon signs which I love but while I was there decided to go ahead and try the food. There was a sign that said the inside was now open so I took them up on it. When I pulled up an employee promptly came out to my vehicle to take my order But I told her I had decided to eat inside. She was so sweet and efficient and while I was there she was running around the whole time like crazy making sure all of the vehicles in the parking lot were probably taken care of. I'm a huge fan of hot dogs in particular or this type of food. But once in a blue moon won't kill me so I gave it a shot. The corn dog was frankly probably the best I've ever had. It wasn't too sweet and the dog inside was flavorful and delicious. I also had a chicken sandwich that was cooked to crunchy perfection and the bun was also pressed into a crispy but not hard roll. Everybody working there was having a good time and they were very friendly with one another and enjoying what they were doing so it's obvious that there's a great vibe here and no wonder the food tastes so good and comes out so quickly. I came for the nostalgia and if I ate this type of food I would come here regularly. It was definitely worth the stop and I would come back again and perhaps try something different on the menu. The food really is good. And check the menu but I don't think they have any desserts whatsoever. And again, Breaking Bad! 😂 Better Call Saul! ❤️👍😎
