Doghaus Brewery is one of the best breweries I have ever been to! Joel, the owner/bartender/host, is fantastic. He is super social & grateful to have everyone visit the brewery. The beer is fantastic & full of so much flavor. I tried multiple breweries across Washington and this was by far the best one! Highly recommend

Cute little spot. Brought the dogs. Husband had an IPA while I enjoyed an iced latte. Grabbed a yummy reuben from the LOGE cafe.

Adorable little brewery that’s dog friendly, dog themed, and the beer is quite tasty! Highly recommend!

Google
You can tell they really love dogs. Such a great lil brewery, lots of outdoor space.

Google
Dogs are cute beer is excellent and the owner is awesome. Small but mighty this brewery is far above the rest in Leavenworth. After a climb or a long day on the trail it’s worth a stop!!!!

Google
Nice Brewery with great beer. I love the concept and the story that started this place. 🍽 they don't offer food but they sell snacks 🍻 tap beer locally made, but you can also ask for the flight to try more beer 👤 Service is great, the team is really nice plus if you are lucky you will meet 🐶 🛎 is a small place so it can get crowded at times 🚻 it does offer bathroom in the complex 🅿️ street parking

Visited Leavanworth, WA this past weekend. I picked up a couple Flights of IPAs off of Groupon for DogHaus Brewery. Had my favorites (Cider was really good) but liked them all. We walked down to the location and were a little unsure at first but it was perfect. Smaller brewery with but that added to the comfort level of it all. In the short time we were there we met our Bartender A-Aron who welcomed us in and treated us with great conversation and laughter. We liked it so much we ended up staying there longer than we planned. In that time we met a few different groups of people who just like us, there for a good time. Throw in the Dogs who might hop up and say hello from time to time and you have a nice place to take a break from the busy streets. There is also a fire pit outback you can see from inside the bar where outside movies are put on at times or music is playing. We signed the ceiling with the sharpie to let others know we were there. Saw a review about prices...I can only say there isn't anything in this "tourist" town that your are not gonna pay a little extra than the norm for. Strongly encourage you stop by.

Yelp
Great service. Great craft beers. We bought a great deal through Groupon and had a flight, a pint and a growler. It was pet friendly. Small seating area, but met some friendly locals.

Yelp
Very friendly and helpful staff! We have gone to this brewery every time we go to this beautiful town in the mountains. It is off the main road, but just a couple of blocks if that. The best part it has a very shady spot to cool off while drinking a beer

Yelp
Doghaus was a lot of fun. Described as a 'speakeasy' brewery, it looks like it -as the order and menu area can fill up quick, fitting maybe about 4 people and an additional 2 could sit and drink. If it's nice out, there is plenty of room on the patio and along with that, live music if you're there at the right time. While there I got to chat with the owner who spoke about how long they've been there, beer suggestions and even brought up the Doghaus dog - Luna who's a nice girl. she popped her head on the counter to get a nice treat. So, if you didn't bring your four-legged friend, you may be able to see one of theirs. All the beers have a dog related name like the "Wee Terrier Scotch" and the "Ginger Retriever". I had the "Double Dog Dare U" Which was a nice full Imperial. I'll gladly stop back here for a pour next time I'm in town.

Yelp
5 stars for Joel who is adorable and this cute little brewery in Leavenworth WA. We came here to surprise my brother who loves beer. Dogs welcome too!!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by for a drink with our pooch and their beer garden was full of happy dogs walking around enjoying themselves. 7/5 would come back.

Yelp
Tiny little brewery that we found because of the fun name. The owner is so kind and we loved meeting the other couple at the brewery. Unfortunately we couldn't take our flight outside because of the glass, but $10 for 4 was an incredible deal.

Yelp
What an awesome new addition to the Leavenworth family of breweries! This place is located on the backside of an unassuming building with access to the outdoor patio and lots of games to play on a warm day. The brews are all themed and served in a cute plastic Mason jar. I loved this! The guy who started this business had his adorable blue weimaraner behind the counter with him and they were super friendly. I loved everything about this place!
google avatar

Richie S.

Yelp
Completely hidden spot if you don't pay attention to the signs. Great beer and connected to a cool communal spot with some table games like giant jenga. They have a band that comes in to play in the evenings and a nice fireplace in the middle of it all. There's even their mascot that pops up at the counter from time to time. You gotta go and say hi and grab a beer!

Jenny N.

Yelp
I absolutely love this brewery! The beers are great and rotate quickly, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and we love having a dog friendly place to bring our pups. If you are a beer fan - they have such an exciting blend of beer that showcase a variety of techniques and styles (and even if you are not a beer fan they have a selection of wine, cider, and non-alcoholic drinks). Don't sleep on visiting Doghaus!
google avatar

Yelp
This is the best hidden gem brewery in Washington. If you check my post history you can see that I've been to MANY breweries in Washington. It's a very small and unassuming brewery beneath a hotel, but has a large outdoor area where you can get a beer 'to go'. This means you get it in a mason-type plastic jar to either keep, or give back for recycling. I definitely chose to keep! The bartender is also the brewer and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He mentioned the Apple IPA was brewed with apples from his uncles farm, The beers were good but the location, service and unique environment make it awesome!

Yelp
What a great find! In the basement/lower level of the LOGE hotel, there is a tiny brewery called Doghaus. Family friendly and dog friendly! In fact, everyone there had a dog with them. They also make a bierscuit for the furry friends out of brewing ingredients for $3. The two partners who brew the beer also serve the beer. They are micro (really micro) producers. Bring a growler if you want to have more after you leave as they don't bottle anything! Tasted through all but the barleywine and enjoyed the clean flavors in all of the varieties. Their Apple IPA was particularly unique. On a hot day, I settled for pints of wit bier and Pilsner. Met both owners as I was there twice that day. Check it out and meet them yourself! Five stars and five bones (for the dog)! If you just want a nice craft beer and don't need food (there is no kitchen) - this is the place!

Matt S.

Yelp
What a great place! Brewer is amazing and entertaining and the beer is delicious! They have a brown sour that is outstanding! Can't go wrong with the tiny bar that packs a big punch! Our new favorite bar in Leavenworth!
google avatar

Drew S.

Yelp
The space was a nice change from the usual bar atmosphere. It's about as close to the action as one may be. Great beer, friendly, and you can get a to-go canned right there. Love that places like these exist. Will return on the next trip
google avatar

Yelp
Loved this cute little brewery in Leavenworth, right off the main street. We originally found it because of the name and love dogs, we stayed because the beer was delicious and the owner was so kind and fun to talk to! You wouldn't believe the selection this tiny brewery has, such great tasting beers, the brewer / owner really knows his stuff! Will definitely be back next time we visit!
google avatar

Holly S.

Yelp
Bartender was so nice and super friendly. You can tell she loves her job. One of the best cidars I've ever had
google avatar

Daisy L.

Yelp
Aaron and Luna were amazing! We were staying at Loge and happened to see there was a brewery right down stairs! I don't know much about ciders or beer and Aaron was quick to find something I liked! We just went to wind down after dinner and we loved the intimate space where we could all enjoy a drink before we headed back to our room, and seeing an adorable dog was a huge plus!
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
Delicious stout, full range of beers from Pilsner to everything, and lovely owner/barkeep!
google avatar

Jackie W.

Yelp
This is a great spot with lots of outdoor seating - perfect for big groups. We tried a few beers, all of which were delicious. And if you like dogs, you'll love this brewery .. the beers are all dog themed, and the tasting room is decorated with adorable pictures of the owner's sweet pup. You can bring in outside food, and they had a fun reggae band playing outside the evening we were there too.
google avatar

Yelp
Smallest bar in Washington? Maybe. I haven't tried every bar in the state. But this place is SMALL. I can tell you it's the most unique bar I've ever been in. And the most fun. Located in a walk down area below the Loft Hotel, this place may be hard to find but it's worth the search. I won't go in to all the different beers. We tried three or four of them during our two visits this week. They were all good. Dogs are definitely welcome. You better like people because you're going to be shoulder to shoulder if there are more than five people in the place. I never saw a sign posting how many people the fire Marshall says are allowed inside. I'm sure it would be a single digit number. But what fun would that be? Smallest bar? Who knows? Most fun bar? You betcha.

Yelp
Doghaus is listed in our brewery passport, so off to Leavenworth we went. Leavenworth offers plenty of free and paid parking. Doghaus can easily be confused with Der Hinterhof. Der Hinterhof offers the outdoor beer garden, live music and food. Doghaus is the extremely tiny brewery inside at the bottom of the stairs. Doghaus accepts Discover as payment. Doghaus does not play nice with Der Hinterhof, meaning that Doghaus beer must be consumed in Doghaus and cannot be taken into the beer garden. Der Hinterhof food can be brought into Doghaus to eat with your Doghaus beer. Doghaus is minuscule (10-15 people max) but their beers are substantial and worth the tight squeeze on a cool day/evening. Not sure I could handle the tight fit with sticky sweaty people if it was hot outside. Inside is decorated with fun photographs and dollar bills. My wife had a couple pints of Alpha Dog Amber for $5.07 and I had a couple pints of Wet Nose Pale Ale for $5.54. The consensus was that Wet Nose was everybody's favorite. A pale ale well done. Our server was friendly and down to earth. Hopefully, the next time we return to Doghaus, their real estate will have expanded.

Yelp
Hidden gem! Smoky porter, triple ups, hazy ipa, and stout were a fantastic flight. Get a mason jar to sit in the patio.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a disappointment in Leavenworth. This little brewery is tucked in a dark basement room of a hotel with very, very limited seating. Don't go with more than two people. The bartender was very friendly but didn't seem overly knowledgeable about their options and didn't offer suggestions. We tried two tasting flights so that we could try one of everything on tap and left having only finished one (the amber) tasting glass. You're probably better off visiting one of the many good wine tasting rooms while visiting.
google avatar

Yelp
Really good brews!! I love this place. Come say hi to Luna and A aron. I drank a dark and ginger retriever. Both excellent. Come visit.
google avatar

Jerry C.

Yelp
Awesome beer! Great little place that you don't want to miss on your trip to Leavenworth. We honestly had a hard time finding it and was confused with an adjacent outside area. The doghouse is a small tasting room through a door (Not the outside area) The beers where great! You have to get the Fluffy, The Three Headed Dog! Free peanuts! The set up and intimacy of the tasting room gets you to talk with other people tasting and the bar tender. Makes it a fun experience for sure. Your best bet is to start with the taster flights and just try everything! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This place is super cute and the smallest brewery I have ever been in. I recalled the patio area outside from previous visits to Leavenworth, but I had not made it inside this brewery in the past. Do note that you can not enjoy your beer on large patio, it is a separate business. I've been to a lot of breweries but by far this is the most intimate, but surprisingly not too claustrophobic feeling. On my particular visit some other patrons involved us all in conversation and insisted we go around playing the name game making for an especially memorable visit. There's not too many places to sit. It was amusing to hear the person behind the bar tell stories about how they can squeeze a large # of people into such a small space.I recommend snagging a seat at the bar. On a hot day the air conditioner in here was blasting. This makes for a great stop off after a river floating adventure. I also really love the website and how it directs you to cat themed wineries in case you are not a beer/dog lover.

Yelp
Very cozy and intimate brewery with super friendly bartender and cool decorations. Too bad we were there when the doggo supervisor, De De, was not there but would love to catch the good boy next time :). We got a tasting flight of 4 (Sit Stay, Dirty Dog, Lucky Bitch and New Tricks) and felt in love with their IPAs. Love how all of their beer names were dog-inspired! Definitely recommend checking out this adorable brewery when you're visiting Leavenworth.
google avatar

Snipe B.

Yelp
Great little place to sit and have a few cold ones. Beer selection was good, you had to purchase a glass if you wanted to drink out in the courtyard.
google avatar

Crisa m.

Yelp
My favorite spot in town! This tiny gem is the perfect spot for good beer, finding conversations & a few great doggo pats. Joel is fantastic and helps run this bar with perfection. He didn't blink an eye when we discovered we were still there well past closing time. He wasn't gonna let something as silly as a sign interrupt strangers making memories. They have a good selection of craft brews, all with clever names. You won't be sorry!
google avatar

Conner J.

Yelp
If this was in any other town, I would have given it more, but it is in a town with two incredible breweries (icicle and Blewett). The bartender is a really cool guy that is great to have conversations with (which you probably will since the place is pretty cozy.) The atmosphere is cool with tones of $1 lining the ceiling with notes people have written which adds a cool vibe. And of course it is hard to not mention the other bartender that greeted us when we got there (in the picture) who is always a nice addition.

Yelp
I think there was another brewery in this same building prior to Doghaus coming around. I remember being to this building once before to drink beer. The brewery that was here before you could go out on the patio and stretch out more but the taproom for Doghaus is very small and compact. So you kind of need to pack yourself in with quite a few other people. I imagine the time I was here was no fluke with lots of patrons because the beer is unique and very refreshing! You are not allowed to drink your beverage outside of the taproom so just as well make the best of it and try to find a corner or if your lucky a stool. When Steve and I went here we split one of their beers. He was feeling a little claustrophobic and didn't want to linger as long we could compared to if we each had a beer. I got the Ginger Retriever Wheat Ale which was excellent and highly enjoyable! I'd like to try some of their other beers like the De De's Holy Mole and the the Chow Chow Maple Stout. I don't know if it's even possible to come here on a slow night because I'm not sure if Leavenworth even has slow nights. It's an insanely popular town all year round and there are a ton of tourists so just as well make the best of it and expect to feel like a sardine if you swing by here. The beer is worth coming here for... no doubt about that but it looks like lots of people get surprised with the amount of space.
google avatar

Yelp
Ahh wish this "brewery" was bigger! Literally a hole in the wall, elbows touching type of deal. We saw a great deal on groupon for a flight, pint, and an empty growler for 16 dollars! We also had an extra coupon so it ended up only paying 12 dollars without tax and the tip. Such a great bargain. The customer service was good, too bad there are only a few seats at the bar. Otherwise you have to be standing. Which doesn't make you want to stay any longer than one pint. At least we also had the flight to try any other drinks we wanted without having to stay any longer. Overall, great experience and we had a fun time.
google avatar

Scott F.

Yelp
Located just a block off the main downtown square, it's not hard to find. Tho, Definitely a small footprint they featured 8 beers on tap. We liked the Amber the best which is odd because I usually prefer darker - stouts. The wine beer, and the oatmeal weren't very good, but all in all not a bad little place to escape the crowds there for the holiday lights.
google avatar

Thomas R.

Yelp
Very nice small brewery with outside seating, fire pit ring and a seasonal music stage. Plastic lidded mason jars and cool growlers to go! Dog friendly!
google avatar

Chad B.

Yelp
Doghaus was our final stop of the Leavenworth brewery tour. Three breweries in Leavenworth, and they're all quite different. Doghaus is literally a hole in the wall, and it fits about as many people as you could fit in a hole inside of a wall. ***Disclaimer, I am a BJCP Certified Beer Judge, and I may (do) have higher standards when it comes to beer. We tried almost everything on the menu, and unfortunately nothing really blew our hair back. There was a black lager (or black pilsener) that was WAY too roasty. Call it something else, but get pilsener out of the name. I actually liked the double IPA they had on tap. One bittering charge and tons of late hops mean it was approachable, fruity, and not overly bitter. The brewer/owner also pours beers and it was nice to chat with him about the process and the ingredients. Doghaus beers are a little rough around the edges, but there are diamonds to be found in said rough. If youre a beer guy (or gal), definitely worth checking out.
google avatar

Isabel D.

Yelp
Great craft brewery. As others have mentioned, very limited seating. But honestly, I enjoyed that. You get to meet and talk to people from all over the world. They have a rotating tap. During my visit they had a scotch amber ale which was the best for me. 2 flights lets u taste all of the beers they have, great option for the curious. Definitely will be back when visiting Leavenworth again.
google avatar

June J.

Yelp
Brought my dog to this awesome brewery, it was so much fun! Ran into Joel and he opened up a earlier for us and it was amazing! Love the Wee Terrier Scotch Ale! The Doghaus is off the beaten path and off a side alley! There was plenty of social distancing! If you are ever in Leavenworth stop by! Visit Joel and Aaron and bring your in your pup!!
google avatar

Rayna O.

Yelp
Great visit to the Doggaus! Great IPAs, free peanuts, and I had a great conversation with our table while sitting there waiting for my boyfriend to finish his beer. They gave us cute bumper stickers and coasters. We used the Groupon deal which was a really good money saver. I will have to come back!! Only downside is their AC could be better. I could complain about the size too but I think that's part of what makes it fun. You are so close to everyone that you have to chat with the whole table of strangers. Our group ended up being pretty cool, took me away from just staring at my phone like a typical millennial. Thanks guys

Noone S.

Yelp
Saw the brewery online and was excited to go check it out! Looked super cute. We got to the tasting room/bar room to order (very small space) and were asked if we were wanting to sit in the tasting room or sit outside on patio (tons of open tables and space etc). The room was super TINY and already claustrophobic with the # of people inside (we were elbow to elbow with people who were already seated while we tried to order) so we of course said the patio (we were a group of 4, there was clearly not room for us to fit in there). The bartender informed us if that was the case we needed to go outside to order instead, which at first we didn't think was a big deal. I purchased a glass mug and we went to the patio bar to order - but we realized upon getting out there that the options were SUPER limited compared to the indoor area. Maybe 5 options as compared to the 15-20ish or so inside. We couldn't figure out why we wouldn't be able to order from inside and bring it outside and felt like we were just being ushered out of the main bar area. The atmosphere and environment itself was very cute but we left without getting anything because we didn't want the limited menu options outside. I understand that glass can't be on patio since its dog friendly but we would have gladly taken plastic cups from the tasting room to the patio had they been offered to us. If we bring our dogs on our next trip maybe we will give it another try, but was overall very disappointing we didn't get to try any of the unique/specialty beers or cider.

Tammy S.

Yelp
The beer is fantastic, and the owners and staff are great. Everyone is friendly, and dogs are welcome! Would 100% go back and definitely recommend!

Yelp
My favorite brewery in Leavenworth! Great beer every time. Small but cozy. There are just a few barstools and then a little bit of standing room. Great place to go and spark conversations wIth new people. Kid and dog friendly!

Yelp
This is a must check out little brewery!! Tiny little place with great beer... we chatted with people as they came and went. We sat there for a few hours enjoying chatting with the owner and customers. Just sorry I didn't take any photos...

Amanda A.

Yelp
Came here for the first time while visiting Leavenworth. You have to go down a few stairs and just follow the paw prints. This brewery is literally about 400sqft. It's tiny!!! It had a bar seating and a table along the wall. Luckily when I came people were just leaving so we were able to get a seat at the bar. When I first came in I was confused as I thought I was at the wrong location. I didn't see anyone at the bar for a few minutes. There is another business right outside of Dog house but it is completely separate. If you buy a beer at this brewery you cannot take it outside. You must drink it inside due to licensing restrictions. The owner is super friendly and best of all he has a dog who is sooo adorable and will come up to the bar and make it seem like he's going to take your order. This place has a great variety of beers. I tried the stout and it was great. The decor inside in unique. The ceiling is covered with current from all over the world. One wall is full of picture of the owner and people drinking his beer. The owner is super friendly and very down to earth. I love supporting small business especially when they give you great service. They also have restrooms in this building.
google avatar

Troy H.

Yelp
Tiny ..Hard to find but worth it when you do .. Good selection of beer to sample just expect it to be a bit cramped .. Friendly locals gave us great tips on other restaurants Nd places to try
google avatar

Beth C.

Yelp
Had a great time here. Good beers to choose from and had a chance to chat with head brewery. He's a cool cat! Small nano brewery. I believe it will seat 6 in the wintertime. That was great. Had some wonderful conversation while in tight quarters like that. They have a nice patio for good weather and also a firepit. Dog theme going on in brewery and now they are making dog treats.
google avatar

Adrienne M.

Yelp
5 stars for what it is. Microbrew in Leavenworth with about 3 beers on tap. 2 when we went as they just got cleaned out by Oktoberfest. They had an IPA and a double IPA which were both great. Doghaus is a tiny, intimate room beneath the restaurant upstairs. The tasting room has 4 bar stools and then you could fit maybe 6 more people standing. Contrary to the other reviews, Doghaus is only in this tasting room. They are not the beer garden on the patio, though the beer garden does sell their beer. Chance is the brewer for Doghaus. He told us about the brewery and fed us some peanuts while we watched sports on the TV. They have some swag for sale -- shirts, hats, stickers. Their paw-shaped cork coasters are pretty sweet and we got a couple stickers to spread the love. We also bought a 64oz keg growler with a fill on our way out. If you're not claustrophobic, then I recommend stopping in. You'll get to know the people around you real quick!
google avatar

Lauren P.

Yelp
An outdoor brewery that allows dogs, and has a super cute patio? Dude, count me in. We stopped here before heading out to zipline (probably not the best idea, but hey). We ended up getting a pitcher of the Manchester Road Cider and some Cherry Limeade jello shots. The cider just tasted like Strongbow..... Like, it might have actually just been Strongbow. The jello shots were delicious, of course! I definitely recommend Doghaus if you're in Leavenworth, with or without a dog, and need a quick beer. Great place!
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
First time in Leavenworth and we decided to check this place out. It's the most wonderfully intimate setting, we had a really great time getting to know Joel, one of the owners. Great beer and great company, the small setting makes it so much more of an enjoyable experience than other places where they just serve you the beer and give you the check. I also loved their merchandise so much I got a tank top! Definitely worth coming in, it's an experience we won't soon forget!
google avatar

Jeff B.

Yelp
Can't say enough about our experience at Doghaus. Such an intimate setting with excellent beer. The owner Joel is incredibly nice, welcoming and fun to chat with. Similar to us, they recently took over the business and I'm expecting only big things to come. If you are ever in the area and want a memorable experience make sure to stop by for a flight, a pint, or to staple a dollar bill to the roof!

Yelp
This is probably the smallest brewery I've been to! The space is small, with limited seating - just a few bar stools around a counter. However, this really adds to the entire experience. My dad, boyfriend, and I had a little trouble getting seated upon arrival, but were quickly able to snag a couple seats at the bar. We had a couple of free flight cards from our tubing trip with Leavenworth Outdoor Company. My dad opted to get a pint of the scotch ale, while my boyfriend and I opted for flights. They had a decent size list of brews for being so small. There were several IPAs (which aren't my favorite) but I was able to built a flight with some of the blondes and lighter ales. I did however, try the raspberry porter and LOVED it! This is huge considering I'm not a dark beer fan. The raspberry flavor was perfect - it added a subtle sweetness. My boyfriend and I stayed long enough that one of the brewers came by and added a new beer. The girl working the counter even let us sample it - a black pilsner! I loved the overall vibe here. There were tons of pictures of dogs (no surprise!), money from all over the world, and fun little notes! We chatted with the bartender and the people that came in/out. They even had a notebook with the stories behind every beer they've created - it was so fun to read about how they would market it, the ideas behind it, and what the dog/mascot would think!
