On the Grid : Dogwood Coffee

"There's a simplicity in one's experience at Dogwood Coffee in Longfellow that is easy to appreciate. The staff are warm and genuine people, the goods prepared with care, and the space has an honest minimalism that allows a visitor to feel like they're part of what makes this coffeehouse special. Some of the best moments here can be on grey mornings, when the light filters through the windows-- all the way back to the back of the space. There are little two-person booths along the wall outfitted with charming industrial bendable lamps-- making them the perfect nooks to play a quick game of cards with a friend, or to re-immerse yourself in the book you've been meaning to pick back up. And when you're by yourself and in need of a bit of sincerity and a great cappuccino, you can always count on your interactions with the staff to remind you of how much personality can be in the quickest of gestures." - Paper Bicycle

Dogwood is a nice coffee shop! Their roasts are very high quality and the space here is great. It seems like a good spot to catch up with a friend or get a little work done. I ordered one of their seasonal drinks—a brown sugar cardamom latte—and found it to be a little light on the flavor for my preference, but it was definitely still a solid latte with great ingredients. My partner had a drip coffee and said this was very tasty and brewed well. While their price points are on the higher end for coffee in the Twin Cities, you are definitely paying for the high quality you are getting. I also thought the merch they had for sale was awesome—I love their logo and all the graphics they use. It's a really attractive design and I love how they have it printed on their roast beans as well as their to-go cups. Overall this is a solid place and I recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

I love this location. Always a steady line of people coming through. The service is really great, and you can tell they have a great rapport with their regulars. Can be a little slow to get your drink so I don’t recommend if you’re in a rush. The chia pudding is made in house and came with the freshest blueberries. I like to get the Fogwood special when I come here which is a tea latte. Plenty of tables with outlets.

Standout for one of the more elaborate latte artwork I’ve seen recently. Latte art doesn’t equate to a great shop, but it shows someone cares. And a little fizzy water on the side is a nice touch. Nice place, I like the two person tables with lights and outlets. On street parking, little brother to the shop in NE. A good place for coffee and work.

I’ve been a longtime fan of Dogwood Coffee, but over the past 9 months or so, the service has noticeably declined. While some baristas are lovely, the overall experience has become inconsistent—often hit or miss. Staff are frequently chatting among themselves, and service can be very slow, even for basic brewed coffee, which is sometimes unavailable altogether. I still love the coffee itself, but unfortunately, the service has made me start exploring other nearby options. I truly hope things improve, because Dogwood deserves better.

The location wasn't hard to find, plus you just parked on the streets. There were tables and chairs outside as well, I love the first roll of the seats or the front seats because it looks like Korean Ramen restaurant where they have walls between and its small seat for one person plus they have the lights. Make you feel like in a library or home doing homework but also have coffee and breads. It's good for studying and homework. See the last picture. That's what I'm talking about it.

Paid and tipped nice male cashier for a neon latte. Barista female was hostile and dishonest. Took bear hug shots in front of me then claimed the hubs were simply switched. Will ask for a refund. Yuck service. She was a deer in headlights. You had one job?

I used to date a girl who was a roastery supplier rep and she took me to A LOT of different coffee shops, so I've seen most of them in the major Minnesota region. When I tell you that Dogwood is the best, I mean that not just from an atmosphere perspective, but also the coffee/tea here simply tastes superior above the other chains and shops available.

Dogwood Coffee is a nicely designed, clean, well lit coffee shop. It has an open and modern look that is inviting to visitors and natural light. The seating options are excellent because you'll probably find comfort here regardless of what type of coffee shop experience your looking for. There are a couple of small tables outside in front of the shop. On the inside there are high chairs along the counter in back, there are larger tables in the center that encourage interaction and conversation, and there are also small booths that are made cozy by lighting and warmth. There service is great and high quality and the products are delightful.
