"Located at 155 Mercer Street in SoHo, the new Dolce & Gabbana store, which officially opened its doors Wednesday, is set within an historic three-story former firehouse that has been completely restored to its original, 1854 cast-iron structure—blending the brand's Alta Moda roots with a little bit of New York history. Split across three floors, each level is themed with odes to Italian design and the streets of Manhattan. The floor also houses an exclusive capsule collection only available in SoHo, featuring core styles with a twist: think, graffiti motifs painted on bags, sneakers, baseball caps and tees. Up on the second floor, guests will find celebratory nods to D&G's 36-year heritage. And the top floor pays homage to some of D&G's most timeless silhouettes, like three-piece men's suiting, lingerie, and the now-classic black lace dresses. Fusing art, culture, and ready-to-wear together, the brand sees the space as more of a cool exhibit rather than a traditional storefront."
