Dolce Vita Coffee & Sweets

I live in Costa Rica. From NYC. This is the best bakery, sweets and gelato in all of Costa Rica. Very pricy. But qualitydoes not come cheap.

I was only going to get a coffee but the food looked too good to pass up. Ended up ordering a bagel with smoked salmon and I was not disappointed. It was delicious! The coffee was good as well. A little pricey, but worth it. I recommend sitting on the patio - the breeze feels great and views of the marina are nice.

Had breakfast there about 2 weeks ago... My order: 2 bagels and a regular OJ (to go) Fast forward to my credit card statement showing just under $24! They're either skimming off fake/amended tips or completely gouging customers. Bagels weren't even that good....

Excited for the location. I ordered breakfast tacos. I asked for cheddar instead of feta. They forgot at first. Then brought me cold American cheese on a plate. I sent back to correct all. Again the cheese was American NOT cheddar. I rolled with it. My friend ordered the panini sandwich. It came with a salad with a HAIR in it. Sent it back too. Other friend enjoyed his breakfast, needed butter for dry toast. Got it. When the bill came, the panini was removed. Added on was a charge for the cheddar cheese 1500 colones (never got) and a 1000 colones charge for the butter. Place looked fancy. Bad management. NO tip and will never return. Pura Vida.

Went here after dinner and ordered inside. I had the best experience and highly recommend if staying at the Los Suenos Resort and Marina. The staff went out of their way to create the experience we were after, pairing our taste with their locally made desserts. We had samples of different gelatos and Karla really helped us find the right pastry, a mil hojas and the Opera.

if i could give 0 stars i would I ordered a carpaccio as my main meal. He never placed the order, so I literally didn’t eat at all. Then when I went to pay, my boyfriend forgot to pay for the extra mushrooms he ordered, so I ended up paying for them — $20 for an order of mushrooms?? Insane. I asked them about it and they just told me they were closing, so they didn’t solve anything. Overall the food wasn’t bad, but the service is definitely not worth it.

They charged me about $14 for an Americano and a chocolate bar because I asked for almond milk with a double shot of decaffeinated expresso. They did not tell me about extra cost and that was after I asked the prices. Prices are not displayed anywhere

Food is basic, service is very lackluster, and they have a tendecy to try to overcharge, since I am local I was able to get the correct price once I asked ove the discrepancy. Feels like they just want to scam tourists and anyone they can.
