Dolly Dim Sum, Suria KLCC

We visited Dolly’s Dim Sum on last Sunday during lunchtime. We found a table within a minute, with absolutely no waiting time, which made the experience even better. The food was truly delicious. We especially loved the dumplings, the squid dishes, and the Thai fried rice. Everything we ordered tasted fresh, flavourful, and well-prepared. The portion sizes were also impressive — the fried rice, kway teow all came in large servings, making it easy for us to share between family members. Considering the amount and quality of the food, the price felt very reasonable. We spent a little over RM200, and it was definitely worth it for the amount of food we received. The ambience at Dolly’s Dim Sum was lovely, and the environment felt comfortable and welcoming. The staff were polite, attentive, and provided great service throughout our meal. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. It was a great dining experience for us, and we would happily come back again

For a “Dim Sum” restaurant, the dim sum selection is not extensive. And for their price point, I think the quality is not up to expectation. For example, the Rice Paper of Prawn Chee Cheong Fun was very thick & texture is not soft, unlike what’s commonly the case. The sauce was also too thick in texture. They also seem to add a lot of cut chili garnishing wherever possible. Try go to any authentic Dim Sum Char Chan Teng see if they serve cut chili like that? No. And their Royal Fried rice, which is essentially a single bowl of plain fried rice with egg, some prawns & fish roe. RM25 is over priced. Otherwise, the decor is nice and roomy. Service on busy New Year Day was fairly fast but I did noticed some delays & staffs confusion which did not affect my table.

Overall, the experience was average. The all-day dim sum selection was decent, but nothing really stood out. The beef fried kway teow was quite oily, which affected the taste. Personally only enjoyed the chewy meat croquettes. Service and atmosphere were acceptable, but there wasn’t anything memorable enough to make it a must-visit.

My first time trying Dolly Dim Sum. We ordered the Merdeka Offer set, that came with their royal fried rice which I find it comparable to other reputable restaurant. In my opinion it’s alittle on the oily & wet side tho, if the Chef could improve on that it would be perfect ! Their service was great, keep it up 👍 Overall experience was great 😊

Good service and decent dim sum. A good variety of your favorites. The kids really liked the shen mian, and the cheung fan was pretty good too. The sieu mai and har gow were also pretty good. Overall, a pretty good experience.

I had my early dinner here yesterday coz Im craving some Szechuan dumpling unfortunately their dumpling taste different than usual. On the other hand, the remaining dishes tasted consistently.

Stopped by for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service, even during the busy lunch crowd. Dani was warm, attentive, and served with a smile throughout. I had the fried radish cake with prawns — it was fragrant, well-seasoned, and loaded with taugeh and eggs. Absolutely delicious and easily my favourite dish of the meal. A satisfying experience all around!

The food was really tasty and filling. The flavours was really good and highly recommend this place!
