Awesome. Loved the place. The vibe. The music. Staff was friendly. Fish & Chips were amazing. I would definitely hit this place up again. Medium to Medium High on prices. But worth every penny. Definitely get the cheesecake with honey and walnuts. Wow!

A small quaint and cozy cafe. The service was quick and the staff was courteous. Food was sumptuous and tasty. It can be difficult getting in, they were rather full when we went there the night before, but went again in the morning just around the opening hours and were lucky to get a spot.

Google
Charming British-style diner/tea shop located across from the Caen castle. The menu boasts a wide selection of British favourites (we had a fish&chips and a curry, both top-notch) served in a cozy setting full of charming decor. The only downside for me was that service was a bit disorganized. Maybe they were just slammed with customers, but it seemed like our table was just forgotten by the servers. We sat for 20 minutes or so after our meal waiting to order dessert and coffee but no one came by, eventually we just had to get up and pay. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they were just having an overwhelmed day, but the food was still very good.

Tasty & healthy food to go. Mostly vegan, vegetarian & gluten free. They have a few tables outside and a few seatings inside. A shame that they serve their food in plastic containers, I would have given 5 stars if they used eco-friendly containers and cutlery.

Excellent place for a big English-style brunch. Judge at the pictures by your own standards. Big and delicious.

Yelp
Out of business!! No longer there. Something else is here! Had food reviews, so disappointed

Yelp
5 stars for the scones, wow, delicious!! The ham and cheese sandwich was great too. We missed trying the chutney, which should have been for the sandwich. The strawberry preserves and the sour cream like substance was for the scone too. My bier (Beer) was excellent. This is a tea and coffee house and also serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Be aware when France has Easter Break, many shops are closed. Also definite hours for main meals and may not serve hot food in between.

Yelp
My wife and I went for a quick bite and were promptly seated by their friendly staff. Burgers were fantastic (although took us till after to realize ketchup was in the packets). Cheese cake was great and it was very reasonable.

Yelp
Great little place. No issues with the staff at all. (From reading last comments on here) service was prompt and no issues. Food was great. Scones were delicious we even got a few to go. Will recommend to eat!! 5

Yelp
The fish & chips are great! You can substitute a salad or onion rings or even rice if you don't feel like fries. Ask for a bottle of vinegar with fish. Make sure you get the cheesecake with honey & walnuts. A homemade whipped cream comes with it. I'd like to go again tonight....

Yelp
A wonderful family dinner after a long day sightseeing in Normandy. The fact that the owner was British through us off at first, but was very friendly. The fish and chips were great, but the deserts were phenomenal! Try the pecan pie or caramel cheesecake. The atmosphere was unique and relaxing, the music familiar. A great stop!

Yelp
The food was good. Quite large portions and tasty desserts. No issues with the food. The staff... they were some of the most immature and clueless staff I have ever had to deal with. The temperature of my burger was totally ignored. The drinks never came, I had to go and request from another staff myself. When we said that would like dessert the waiter returned to flirting with a woman at the front and eventually came back to us with menus 10 minutes later. It didn't seem like it was isolated to this one staff, but a general high school playfulness about the group which was largely unprofessional. I would not return based on the staff. And that sucks because the food was good.

Yelp
This was a lovely restaurant and we enjoyed it a great deal. The food was just meh--The desserts were very good and I recommend the place for the atmosphere and the charming staff.

Yelp
English speaking. Food was good. We had the dolly burger. Includes fries and a salad. The theme is 50-60 English bar. Seating is very tight.

Yelp
I must say I was quite disappointed with the food here. Came based on the 4.5 star review and the burger was nothing special. Service wasn't good either. I wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
This is probably worst experience I've had in France. Unfortunate, the food was cheap and tolerable, service was terrible. Messed up orders and inattentive to me not that it matters being 8 months pregnant I guess. It's just hot and needed water.

Yelp
Nice and service oriented place we used it as a late night bar and enjoyed our cocktails and digestive very much. Keep on going, Dolly!

Yelp
This was great. After being in France for over a week and yearning for some closer to home food. Ledollys filled the craving. With Ribs that where decent, fish and chips that was very tasty and just great service. We where very happy. Enjoyed talking with the Englishman about his favorite aston vila.

Yelp
Really amazing! If you are in Caen you have to go there! The food as well as the cocktails. Are really great!!

Yelp
Walked into Dolly's expecting something good from all the 4-5 star reviews on here. Real experience was totally different. This place obviously benefits from 1) Being a popular place for locals to eat "British" food and 2) Being along a main street on the way to the Chateau, so catching a decent amount of tourists. Walked in about 8-8:30, didn't have reservations and they were pretty full so were offered to sit outside. Totally fine, no problem as it was rather nice outside with very mild weather. The problems started with being handed the menu and being told that we could only order from certain pages that were 5+ euros more than some of the prices they had posted outside. Fine, understand that they have a dinner menu but it was quite unclear that it was the lunch menu they had posted by the street. This brought the prices up to a minimum of 15 euros for an entree (20 with dessert). To put that in perspective, many of the restaurants down the street within a 5 minute walk have entrees (and often entire multiple course dinners) well under 15 euros, often in the 11-13 euro range so 15-20 euros here should buy some really good food. Can't comment on their wine or beer list as we had neither but seemed to be in line with the other local establishments. Ended up having a burger that was not great for a LOT of money compared to other places. I actually had a kabab from some side shop off the street that was a third of the price that was better than what I ate there. Service was poor, they obviously know they have a captive audience with any tourists that come into town (not a lot of British English speaking establishments in Caen). The only reason I can think of that locals would come to this place would be if they were tired of the local fare and wanted to spend a lot of money for mediocre food. Edit: For reference, this review is from when I was in France last year, had forgotten to finish it and just finished it on the day of posting.

Yelp
Very cosy atmosphere and great deserts! Great place for a rainy Sunday afternoon.
