24 Mesmerizing Mazes and Labyrinths

"This unique maze in the Dutch city of Tilburg is unlike the traditional hedge pathways in Baroque gardens or plastic indoor playgrounds. While it is built to make you lose your orientation, it also fulfills you with the immense joy of discovering something new. Entering the Meta Maze, you will find a sheer multitude of surreal rooms where you can dive through dream-like landscapes, profoundly strange spaces, and flabbergasting art pieces, all integrated into one big opus. It’s sometimes dark, but never made to frighten the visitor, but rather encourage them to pause and marvel. Some visitors say they even found themselves in this surreal labyrinth. And yes, there is an exit, too, but take your time, as there’s surely enough to discover inside. Words cannot do it justice; it’s something you need to see with your own eyes.  The Meta Maze was created by the Berlin-based artist platform Karmanoia. This walkthrough installation comes on the heels of the group’s previous maze, “Peristal Singum,” which was a popular and true underground place in Berlin. The Meta Maze is nested into a larger event space called Doloris. On the rooftop, there is a bar and restaurant serving splendid street food and providing a fabulous scenic view over the city of Tilburg." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

It was honestly such a great experience! I thought it might be scary at first because of how it started, but it turned out not to be scary at all. The maze is definitely something you have to experience for yourself! Ps. No photos were allowed inside the maze but you get a locker to keep all your personal items

the wait time was too long.. almost 60 mins.. I went with friends, and we finished in 45 mins. So, nice as an experience, but 1x is more than enough.

One of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. It's VERY much worth it. Take your time and try to visit every room, each is unique and awesome. It really feels like you're in a maze. Thank you for this!

I'd argue it's a once in a lifetime experience. Everybody who wants to find their immer childlike sense of exploration again go do it. Taking one star off cause I would have like the experience more to myself, meaning I felt there were too many people in there at the same time.

Wonderful experience! If you're worried you can't find photos online, it's because upon arrival you're asked to leave your devices behind, it really makes you feel like time has stopped here and you're in a surreal landscape of your dreams. Exploring each room is exciting and best if you're alone, so please don't team up, and keep quiet :) Just wish I could do it all over again without remembering, and explore for the first time again. Make sure to come in something comfy because while wandering, you might want to climb...

Cafe and amusement house. I wasn't ready to experience so many different shaped spaces in such a small area. It's genius! And it's not allowed to make any photos inside so if you want to see you need to come in person ;)

Creative. A little bit like cave exploring for city people. Lots of crawling and climbing. Disorienting. Each room is very different. I believe it is 5 levels high. The goal is to discover each room and enjoy the details of the “interior design”. No cameras or phones allowed inside.

Great experience! Staff are absolutely stellar that really heighten the experience. The marketing is superb and really encourages the excitement of what’s to come. The bar area too, before the maze, is really fun and interesting. It would be nice to see a clear separation in the bar area for people about to enter the maze, and people who have already entered. This causes a bit of disruption to our experience. Excited to try out Utrecht next!
