24 Mesmerizing Mazes and Labyrinths

"This unique maze in the Dutch city of Tilburg is unlike the traditional hedge pathways in Baroque gardens or plastic indoor playgrounds. While it is built to make you lose your orientation, it also fulfills you with the immense joy of discovering something new. Entering the Meta Maze, you will find a sheer multitude of surreal rooms where you can dive through dream-like landscapes, profoundly strange spaces, and flabbergasting art pieces, all integrated into one big opus. It’s sometimes dark, but never made to frighten the visitor, but rather encourage them to pause and marvel. Some visitors say they even found themselves in this surreal labyrinth. And yes, there is an exit, too, but take your time, as there’s surely enough to discover inside. Words cannot do it justice; it’s something you need to see with your own eyes.  The Meta Maze was created by the Berlin-based artist platform Karmanoia. This walkthrough installation comes on the heels of the group’s previous maze, “Peristal Singum,” which was a popular and true underground place in Berlin. The Meta Maze is nested into a larger event space called Doloris. On the rooftop, there is a bar and restaurant serving splendid street food and providing a fabulous scenic view over the city of Tilburg." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

It was honestly such a great experience! I thought it might be scary at first because of how it started, but it turned out not to be scary at all. The maze is definitely something you have to experience for yourself! Ps. No photos were allowed inside the maze but you get a locker to keep all your personal items

Right in the same building as Stroming Tilburg, you’ll find **Meta Maze**, and walking in already sets the tone for what’s to come. The entrance leeds you directly to an Huge elevator, then when you leave it behind you will fint an area whit a small lounge, but it’s just as cosy and inviting, with a relaxed atmosphere and well decorated. The staff were absolutely incredible warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic. They gave us a briefing about how the activity would unfold, and to be honest, it didn’t really grab me at first… but I ended up loving every moment. The maze itself is amazing: immersive, cleverly build, and far more engaging than I expected. It completely won me over, and I’m definitely planning to return. After completing the maze, we headed back to the lounge, where they served us some tapas that were absolutely delicious, a perfect way to wind down after the experience. Thank you for everything, Meta Maze. I’ll be back for sure.

Cafe and amusement house. I wasn't ready to experience so many different shaped spaces in such a small area. It's genius! And it's not allowed to make any photos inside so if you want to see you need to come in person ;)

I really liked it! It was a fun experience. The reason I went for 4 instead of 5 is because its a bit on the expensive side and it got quite crowded. At some point I was running into groups everywhere and even got stuck with 6 people trying to go up a staircase. I'd recommend it to people that like physical activity and art, preferably on a weekday with a discount.

Either you like it or not - this is definitely not waste of money as some people stated. You see lots of artwork, even with some that you can interact with, and I was blown away by how much effort was taken for this place. I really enjoyed it, so big thanks to everyone who contributed to it. You might not be "WOWed" but it is definitely like an art gallery that deserves each penny! It was a little crowded but I quite liked it as it felt like a group experience here and there. :) Lots of laugh together. There is only one thing: if you have back or knee problems, be really careful. ^^

The Dolores Meta Maze in Tilburg is absolutely incredible! Think Meow Wolf meets an immersive, physical adult playground. I brought my parents, who are in their late 60s, and we all had an absolute blast. The entry alone—blindfolded and set off individually—had me nervous that my parents wouldn’t enjoy it (especially since I didn’t see them for the first 30 minutes). But when I finally ran into my dad, he had the biggest grin on his face. From that moment on, we were all hooked. The experience is full of twists, turns, and mind-bending surprises—every corner brings new wonder, mystery, and thrill. It’s playful, beautifully designed, and unlike anything else I’ve ever done. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure.

One of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. It's VERY much worth it. Take your time and try to visit every room, each is unique and awesome. It really feels like you're in a maze. Thank you for this!

I'd argue it's a once in a lifetime experience. Everybody who wants to find their immer childlike sense of exploration again go do it. Taking one star off cause I would have like the experience more to myself, meaning I felt there were too many people in there at the same time.
