"This nonprofit organization is dedicated to rescuing dolphins, manatees, and other sea mammals, and visitors to the sanctuary can assist by doing anything from observing their resident animals from the dock and watching the team at work, to shadowing a trainer for the day. But the highlight for most will be getting to take a swim with the dolphins. Some of the other programming here shows visitors how to care for the animals; depending on the day and dolphin, you might see how a dolphin ultrasound is performed, or how to brush a dolphin’s teeth." - Jennifer M. We had a magical experience here! The staff here are all nice kind and patient people who love dolphins and patient with costumers. We had a full swim with the dolphins and I’ll never forget this amazing experience. Thank you guys so much for making it very special for us. Highly recommend this facility.

The first time we visited the Keys we enjoyed Theater of the Seas. This time we chose a less touristy version and chose the behind-the-scenes tour of Dolphins Plus. It’s clear that the staff cares about the six dolphins who reside at the center: two mothers, each with two children. Without seeing a theatrical show, we enjoyed watching the dolphins interact and have fun. Feeding time was especially enjoyable. Going behind the scenes we saw the preparation that goes into feeding and the thought that goes into providing engaging activities for the dolphins. Note that the center’s goals extend far beyond caring for the resident dolphins and includes animal welfare, research, and rescue/rehabilitation.

We have been twice, once with my wife and then the entire family. My 8 year old was a little nervous around the dolphins, but my 10&12 year olds were fine. The staff are great and very accommodating to ensure you are comfortable and get a great experience. Would highly recommend. Once in a life time experience.

I spent some time researching the best dolphin experience for my family. I ended up selecting this organization because they are a non-profit and they had the best description of what we would get to do while we were there on their website. This was to be the highlight of our trip to Florida. I paid $1,240 for the five of us to interact with the dolphins. While this price felt steep, I justified it as a once in a lifetime activity. The website description stated we should allow for 1.5-2 hours for the entire experience which would include education, touring the facility, getting life jackets, and then actually getting in the water with the dolphins. Our timed entry began at 3:30. We were back to the parking lot in our car by 4:15. When we did get our chance for the fun part, we had to split our time in the water (about 15-20 min) with another family rotating turns back and forth. While getting the chance to be in the water with dolphins was memorable, I definitely think they should update their website. Why are they telling people to allow up to two hours when they only had a 40 min program? And even then, 25 min of that was waiting, getting fitted for jackets and listening to a speech? It felt like a bait and switch, or perhaps that they were overbooking to monetize on Spring Break and rushing everyone through. We left feeling very disappointed and sticker-shocked.

We highly recommend reserving your visit to the Dolphin Center in advance. My husband and our 3-year-old son chose the option to interact with the dolphins without swimming, as it was our son’s first experience meeting them. After we purchased the tickets and entered the dolphin center, it took about 15 minutes to get started. However, we had to wait for the swimming group to finish their session before we could begin, which was a bit tiring for a small child. The interaction itself was wonderful — very gentle and well organized. Also, professional photos are taken during the session and sent to your email afterward. The cost for the photo package is $30. Overall, it was a memorable and heartwarming experience, and we are happy we chose to visit!

Google
This is truly an experience that will leave memories that last a lifetime. Well worth the cost, and the fees help to support their ongoing efforts in dolphin rescue and rehab. If you are in the keys, this is your #1 priority activity.

They helped me create a priceless moment with my wife and captured the moment for us to cherish forever. I was just reflecting on or engagement photos provided by these amazing people and their beautiful dolphins. They assisted me in a unique proposal idea to bring light into dark times. Amongst the 2020 pandemic, they helped us put smiles on our faces behind our masks. My wife and I live happily ever after with a story to tell like no other! I could never thank you enough for playing a part in the day that changed our lives forever!!

Yelp
This was a fantastic experience . We started our day with Skye who told us what to expect, a few guideline , dolphin anatomy and some fun facts . She did a great job . Then we moved on to our in the water experience with Jessica . The interactions we had with the dolphins we will remember forever . Jessica's excitement and her love of what she does was very apparent as well as her love for the dolphins . She was very personable and really made the experience so much fun . We spent almost 2 hours with Marylou , who showed us "the back of the house " . The work that goes in to feeding these guys is insane . We also got to see what they monitor for each dolphin and how they keep track of everything . The animals individualized healthcare is better than most people have . These animals are treated extremely well , cared for and loved . Marylou answered all of our questions and had my grandson Jacob help her track their respirations . All of the staff works very hard and were very friendly . I would even do this again in the future I enjoyed it so much . Your money goes to a great cause when you visit this facility . Five stars all the way !

Yelp
I took a marine mammal behavior class through DPMMR at the University of Miami that lasted a semester, and this is the place you wanna visit if you're interested in learning about the conservation of dolphins while having fun! The trainers are all amazing and the dolphins are adorable. They also have a very nice gift shop with lots of souvenir options (necklaces, stuffed animals, towels, etc.) and everyone here is very knowledgeable and friendly!

Steve D.

Yelp
I scheduled a splash and wade session for my two daughters (both 11). It was one of the highlights of their vacation. The dolphins were amazing and the people really taught them some new facts about the animals. There were adults doing the splash and wade also so don't feel that it's just for young kids.

M D.

Yelp
My children attended a week of summer camp here thanks to a friend's recommendation. It was great! The staff were incredible and they learned so much! The shallow water encounter with the dolphins at the end was the grand finale. The memories made were priceless. If you're in the area check them out! And if you're not take a trip down and see what they are about!

Jennifer C.

Yelp
We had an absolutely wonderful time meeting the trainer and doing tricks with Tug and Zoe. My husband and I would highly recommend Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder!

William L.

Yelp
This place was awesome. My kids had huge smiles on their faces (that's hard to do.) The staff greeted us with smiles and immediately began to share what makes them special. The kids enjoyed learning about the attitudes of the different dolphins. They got to get up close and personal with them. As a parent, I loved watching them perform together. I took lots of pictures and we've got lots of memories. My daughter is in an AP Marine Biology course in school and left with more info for class. Thanks!

D M.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place. Great staff. Experience of a lifetime. The dolphins had so much personality and seemed very happy.

Cindra S.

Yelp
This is NOT the place you want to go! They charged us top dollar for a cookie-cutter experience. We had to wait WAY too long for our "training" (time out of our vacation), and were included in with a family, (we specifically ordered an adult/no kids experience). The photos we got back included ones of us being pushed in the water by dolphins, only you couldn't see the dolphins! It looked like we were drowning. The location has absolutely nothing to offer while you're waiting, not even a cup of coffee, and is not within walking distance of anything. We arrived early, and had to wait until the last guests arrived which put us past our start time. The dolphins are adorable, but most of our time in the water was standing there freezing, waiting for others in our group to take their turn, or holding our hands out to have the dolphin swim by us. When they say swim with dolphins, there is actually very little swimming. Please choose another venue for this experience! I was very excited, but ended up very disappointed.

Dalila R.

Yelp
Such a great experience! The team was welcoming, informative, shout out to Amanda the trainer we worked with! She was so nice and knowledgeable. I would totally recommend this place and the experience itself was one for the books!

Tansy W.

Yelp
Did the Connect to Protect dolphin tour and had a blast! Absolutely loved it. Time playing with the dolphins was probably only about 30 min but still totally worth it. They take tons of photos for you but they are pricey ($30 per photo or $80 for all photos, so obviously we did the latter). Highly recommend!

Steve D.

Yelp
Wow, what an experience for Our 12 year old daughter! Staff were super friendly and very informative! We chose the connect to protect package....AND of course we went with the photo package! The pictures were phenomenal! The dolphin's were very obedient, which made our time seem short. However this is not timed and was super impressed that my daughter was able to do all the tricks they had asked! So please be understanding on the time part. Again, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity! Thank you!

Tyler U.

Yelp
An incredible experience! From the staff, to the facility, to the dolphins, we had a fantastic time. The trainers were incredibly kind and the dolphins were so fun! You can tell that staff is passionate about what they do and the dolphins seem happy and healthy. Definitely a great option for dolphin encounters!!

Dorothy B.

Yelp
Wonderful experience for our 3 teenagers! The staff and facilities are top-notch and the dolphins are amazing. Such great ambassadors for dolphins! Thank you for a fun time.

Daria S.

Yelp
Our boys (10 and 11) had an amazing time. This is worth the money! Learned a lot and had fun!

Maria G.

Yelp
The were the best! Very educational & fun. I would highly recommend you stop by & swim with the Dolphins.

Lea M.

Yelp
This place was amazing and worth every penny. My son and I got the splash & swim . This is great for adults and children (kids must be able to swim). They talk to you about safety prior to the experience. Everyone receives a life vest. We started in the ocean-water lagoon on a platform in waist-deep water. The trainers let the dolphins meet you through a series of behaviors such as back rubs, belly rubs, and handshakes.. Then we went into a deeper water to experience to swim with the dolphins a dorsal tow, belly ride, or foot push.

Josh S.

Yelp
I thought the Marine Mammal Protection Act had entirely eliminated human beings coming into close contact with marine mammals. There are loopholes though, and Dolphins Plus has exposed it in the most humane way. Being my first time swimming with dolphins, I'm sure I could have found satisfaction at any venue. What impresses me about DP though is just how much they care not only about you as a customer, but also the safety, security, and wellbeing of the dolphins. This is something that I know for a fact many organizations do not do the best job of balancing, and yet somehow DP has found a way. In addition to the dolphin aspect of DP, the customer service and environment are phenomenal! Being someone who has gone to quite a few different conservation parks and has interacted with many of their staff on a professional level, I think that Dolphins Plus is by far one of the best when it comes to interfacing with the customers. All around, DP provided myself and my family an amazingly magical and fun experience (as can be seen in the photos below), so I know for sure that it will be a go-to next time I'm in the Keys, and I hope you'll consider doing the same.

Cyndee T.

Yelp
My 7 year old daughter and I did the option to get in the water and swim with the dolphins (Connect to Protect). We were glad that we chose that option after seeing what the other experiences were like. We were given a 30 minute briefing about dolphins, their facility, and what to expect. They suited us both up in a wetsuit and life jacket. We then got in the water and they instructed us on what to do. My daughter and I both loved it more than we expected. We paid for the pictures and we both had huge smiles on our face the entire time. The only thing we didn't like was when our time with the dolphins was up and we had to get out of the water. It was a pricey experience, but one we will remember forever.

Palm Beach H.

Yelp
Why can't there be 10 stars? This experience was wonderful. Took my 12 year old daughter here for spring break 2022. Not a big fan of "captive animal shows", but this changed my mind. These dolphins are LOVED, cared for and alive because of the efforts of these folks! A MUST DO in Key Largo. DINT BE FOOLED BY COMPETITORS!! Such an amazing experience.

Ashley A.

Yelp
DONT BOOK HERE. Booked a reservation two day ago for on Thursday and had to cancel. They're not giving 50% due to me booking within (7) days of experience? It's literally impossible to cancel wirh (7) day notice when booked within (7) days.

Shelby S.

Yelp
If you are looking for a dolphin experience where the dolphins are truly taken care of (an not just an attraction to make money from) then I highly recommend DPMMR!! The memories we have are well worth every penny! My husband and daughter (17) had an amazing time swimming swimming with the dolphins. We also all did a dockside experience which ended with my daughter and I painting with the dolphins. The staff here is so knowledgeable and personable. They make sure all involved (human and dolphin) have a great time! I also love that by supporting DPMMR, we are helping to support community education and the rescue efforts for the Keys. The pictures the staff photographers take are great, it's so nice to be present for the experience and know that they're capturing it all on camera.

Suzanne D.

Yelp
This was a wonderful experience. First we underwent an information session with an intern. Then we were assigned to a trainer who gave us detailed instructions. I had an amazing time with dolphins Julie & Isaac. I am not the greatest swimmer but know the absolute basics and can get around with a life jacket, and can follow directions - that was enough. Tips: - don't forget a towel! You can buy them in the gift shop but they're more than $20*!!! Save the $$$ for photos - Mineral sunscreen is permitted! Look sunscreen with zinc oxide such as BabyBum/ Beach Bum Mineral. - If you don't have someone coming to observe you, you can buy photos taken by a designated photographer. Be prepared for $$$ but it is worth it for the memories and framing it in your home.

Katie B.

Yelp
Amazing, such an awesome and rewarding experience. Our trainer was so helpful, and it was so rewarding watching her do what she loves. Luna was awesome.

Terri H.

Yelp
I was going to be in Key Largo for the weekend and literally ran across Dolphins Plus. I think it was fate. It is something I have dreamed of doing forever and it was more than I could have imagined. From booking until leaving the staff and experience were easy, friendly and enjoyable. The marine team are compassionate and beyond knowledgeable. Special shout outs to Chantel (not Jessica) and Jenna! Loved our dolphins including our uninvited interloper (Nathan wore sardine cologne and brought fish in his pockets so it really wasn't her fault!) I am so glad I waited till I got to enjoy my experience at Dolphins Plus

Levi M.

Yelp
We have been to 4 different dolphin experiences and this was by far the best. Friendly staff. Friendlier dolphins. Full experience was amazing for our entire group!! Highly recommend. A bit more expensive than some of the alternatives but waaaaay more bang for the buck. They are also a preservation and rescue facility and treat the dolphins with such respect and care...and some of the others treat their dolphins horribly.

Mita J.

Yelp
Had no clue they were keeping dolphins this close to where we were staying. Dolphins were very cute and facility was clean and run well. However, we participated in Splash & Swim and spent more time out of the water than in. A lot of money to be in water for about 20-30 minutes, but worth it if you like to support a good cause. Tina was our in water instructor and she was great. Dolphins were very fun!

Oscar A.

Yelp
Unfortunately I couldn't repeat the previous experience I had back in May. Today we had an instructor "Rhiannon" reading off a sheet, she read the 4 behaviors and immediately asked us in between each behavior if we liked it? There was no connection with our family of 4 and Alfonz the dolphin. My wife and my daughter enjoyed this experience back in May and it was so different. The trainer previously made sure we left with a memorable experience which is why we returned today but what a failure. We went from a loving, caring trainer to a robotic 3 minute drill. There was no experience just regret. Unfortunately my son, daughter & I weren't able to have the same experience. We drove 3 hrs and as I write this review all I can think of is the robbery of the experience. When we explained this to the office personnel they said they could only give us free photos. Previously my daughter and wife touched the dolphin, had their feet in the water not this time, this time my daughter went to do the same and I was immediately scolded. Extremely disappointed.

Farah B.

Yelp
I appreciate that they allow children under 52 inches (48+) in to interact with the dolphins. Most of the staff was very nice. I do think they may try to pick too many swimmers into one structured swim, as it felt like we were rushed through our time. For the price you pay that was the only disappointing part. Otherwise the experience was one my daughters will remember forever!

renae T.

Yelp
We just returned from the Keys. We had an unexpected free day and ended up here for our 13 yo daughter to do the structured swim. It was a fun experience (expensive) experience for her, and the rest of us (3 adults) enjoyed watching. They were kind, well organized. Our daughter is a huge animal rights supporter, and was very disappointed they did not talk about how their dolphins ended up here. She assumed it was a rescue situation, and funds raised by fees for swimming with the dolphins supported the rescue (like the Turtle rescue -highly recommend touring their facility). She found out from the humane society (which we toured next) that dolphin swims generally are not with rescue groups, but entirely for profit business. I would definitely do a bit of research on these groups before going again.

Cris C.

Yelp
Everything was top notch from the booking to the check in and the experience. We booked this for our daughter's birthday and she had a blast. I was concerned about the deep water but their vests solved this concerned as the provided buoyancy when in the water. The staff was wonderful. Would highly recommend.

Bucks M.

Yelp
We took our 8 year old granddaughter here and took part in the Discover Dolphins Dockside program. We were very comfortable with the Covid precautions, such as mask requirement, temp check, and readily available sanitizer. Our reservation was for 1:00. There were multiple small family groups of people, but we were socially distanced. The restroom facilities were very clean. My husband and granddaughter LOVED their time with the dolphins. They had a lot of fun and I had almost as much fun watching them! The actual time on the dock with the dolphins was short, maybe about 5 minutes. But we had expected this and in the end we felt it was definitely worth the money. The session after while we waited for our pictures was very informative and they were friendly and answered our questions. We were able to take our own pictures, but we did pay $30 extra for their photo package. I am so glad we did that, because their pictures were fantastic and SO much better than ours. We highly recommend this experience and would definitely do it again. Just wish it was a little closer to our home in West Palm Beach. :o)

J. M.

Yelp
There are so many options for swimming with dolphins in Key Largo, but I'm so happy that we chose this one! I have swam with dolphins in Punta Cana, but this one was by far the best experience ever. The dolphins (3 babies and 2 adults) and trainers were so friendly and professionals. The people that work at this place are so nice. We did the Connect to Protect program with high energy behaviors. We did belly ride, superman, touched their skin, we hold the pole for them to jump over, etc.. What a blast! We highly recommend Dolphins Plus for the best dolphin experience in Florida Keys! Thank you!!!

Travis F.

Yelp
Truly a once in a lifetime experience! Swam with Bob and Alex the dolphins. The staff was great, the souvenirs weren't terribly expensive and the proceeds go to the non-profit that runs and cares for the 2 pods of dolphins they have.

Kimm R.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time being trainer for half a day! We wanted a program about conservation, dolphin care, and showed the kids the wonder of these amazing creatures. This program hit the nail on the head! We worked with Jenna, a wonderful trainer, who was so patient and answered all of their questions. She paced the program well and showed us the dirty and fun sides of being a dolphin trainer. We got to pack fish buckets, learn about dolphin husbandry, play in the water and have an enrichment session with ice and dolphin jello! It was an amazing experience we all will be talking about for years! Thanks, Jenna and DPMMR!

O_ G.

Yelp
A MUST to do experience! If you ever in the upper keys you owe it to yourself and your kids to do! There are many different programs to choose from and a great gift shop!

Rebecca H.

Yelp
These dolphins are not rescued, they are captive bred for "medical research". This is a petting zoo for the entertainment of naive tourists. Captive-bred dolphins are not domesticated and have the same inherent needs as wild-born animals. Research shows that dolphins in captivity, both wild-caught as well as captive-bred, at best tend to live only about as long as their wild counterparts. I am not a liberal or environmental activist but as someone who loves dolphins and came here under the impression that it would be a rescue, its not. Speaks for itself.

Frank L.

Yelp
Our visit to Dolphins Plus and our dolphin swim was the capstone of our trip to Key Largo for spring break. I know that the family was looking forward to the swim with the dolphins, but we were all completely unprepared for what an enjoyable and memorable experience this turned out to be. We spent most of the first hour learning about dolphins. Their anatomy, some of their habits, and especially some of the good work and research Dolphins Plus participates in. They seem like a good organization to be supporting, as the first responders in Southern Florida for marine mammal rescue. Then came the good stuff. We got into the water with the dolphins. They were so majestic and cute! And clearly way better suited to the water than us humans. As they pushed me across the lagoon with so much power that I was more then 1/2 way out of the water I got a small idea of just how powerful they were. I won't pretend that this wasn't expensive, 'cause it totally was. But we're making memories here. The whole family really enjoyed this experience, and I wouldn't be surprised if we do it again sometime. One final note...go ahead and get the photo package. Just suck it up and get it. Yes, it's expensive, but you'll regret it if you don't. And it goes to a good cause.

Robin O.

Yelp
Recemtly my two kids and I visited the Bayside location for a shallow water dolphin experience. Julie (pregnant female dolphin) was swimming and pushing around one of the female trainers as we made our way around the lake, so I was very surprised that they chose to put chuldren with an animal displaying disagreeable behavior. We held our hands out as instructed so Julie could swim under our hands and we could feel her back. This is the first behavior they did with all of us shallow experience folks. Julie went under our hands once, then we did it again and she pushed me directly in the groin with her head. I tried to play it off so as not to scare my kids, but the trainer saw it and sent Julie off instantly to another trainer. She said something to brush it off and then took us all out of the water and moved us across the pond to work with Isaac, a younger dolphin. I am not trying to talk badly about this place, because the swim experience groups all seemed to be fine. Pleaae just understand the waivers are there for a reason; just be educated on the risks of working with wild animals. Two days later I observed a very calm and friendly group of animals and trainers do a dolphin shallow water swim at another place with a large conch she'll out front, and if I had to try again, I'd go there instead.

Krizia M.

Yelp
Had an amazing experience with the staff and Dolphins! Would highly recommend this as a first time experience for kids and adults. It's true what they say... time flies when you're having fun! I would have been more than ok spending 8 hours of my day with the dolphins! We got the picture package... and to be honest the pictures were better than I expected! Highly recommend the experience all around!

Rob P.

Yelp
Had a great time here with my wife on our honeymoon. Ample time swimming with the dolphins made it all worth the trip. One more bucket list item checked off for the Pikes lol. Definitely going to try and make it back again with our kids.

Jason B.

Yelp
This place is magical! Not only do they do amazing work, but the staff is superb, the facility great, and the stars of the show are some of the most friendly creatures I've met! Since we met, my girlfriend has told me how she has always wanted to swim with dolphins. So, for our first anniversary, I decided to surprise her with a drive down here to make it happen! I researched a bunch of different facilities in the area, but the trend at Dolphins Plus was clear: everyone raved about it! So, I called, and booked our experience. We booked at the ocean side facility because that was the only one with openings. We were warmly greeted when we got there and were checked in quickly. We went downstairs with the other people who were scheduled at that time and had a wonderful, and not too long, information session on bottlenose dolphins. Even though I know generally about them, I learned some great little tidbits! Afterwards, we split into our groups for the encounter. My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to be paired with Alphonz and Jessica (those are the dolphins names)...they were AWSOME! We had the privilege of watching the other family we were paired with go first, so it was like getting a free show before we even got in the water! Super cool. The trainers were also uber personable and were happy to answer ALL our questions while we were watching. They really are soooo cool. After they were done, we got our shot. HOLY CRAP! What an amazing experience. The dolphin were spectacular and the experience is one not to be missed. I don't want to get too much into the specifics of what we did, because I don't want to spoil the fun, but just know it was easy, comfortable, incredible, and mind-blowing. I will say this though, if you're paired with Alphonz, be aware: he likes butts! Evidently if he takes a liking to you, he may give you a little nudge in the tush! I had the surprising pleasure of experiencing this. Cracked me up...but he was totally friendly and just wanted to play more. It was awesome. It was both incredible to see the dolphins' personalities, strength, intelligence, and stamina, and to realize that we were part of their playtime. I can't stress this enough, if you want to swim with the dolphins, Dolphins Plus is the place to do it!

Mads C.

Yelp
This is the best place to go if you love dolphins. The animals are kept in very humane conditions, with water coming directly from the bay! They emphasized consent right up front, both ours and the dolphins'. The staff was extremely kind and sociable, from the trainers to the photographers. Most importantly, the dolphins were visibly happy! Isaac in particular made lots of happy, excited noises whenever he did something right. Theyre a non-profit, so all the funds go to either their dolphins or their rescue organization. Definitely a must-see if youre an animal lover in Key Largo!

Catherine B.

Yelp
Dolphins plus was an incredible experience. I was very fortunate to participate in their "snorkel with dolphins" experience, and it was absolutely awe-inspiring. The trainers took their time educating us on these amazing animals and letting us know how to have the best time with them. It is evident that everyone there loves what they do, and they all care so deeply for these animals. I feel extremely lucky to have been a part of such a well run and impactful organization.

Cheryl K.

Yelp
We treated the grandkids to this magical experience over Christmas break. The oldest one wants to be a marine biologist and it was very helpful for her to talk to the interns working there. Yes, it is pricey...but it's a memory they will never forget. I searched several places and this seemed the most humane for the area we were in. I'm not sure who had more fun, the girls or those of us watching them experience this. We did the structured swim which allowed them a lot of interaction with the dolphins.

Danny S.

Yelp
Very disappointed. We paid over $200 each, and when we were in the water with the dolphins, we had less than 20 minutes. In those 20 minutes, we felt like toys in the water. The trainers commanded the Dolphins to do things quickly with us, that the dolphin didn't even pay attention to us for more than a millisecond. In fact, we didn't even have minutes to take in any experience, because of the speed of the four different things the trainers commanded the Dolphins to do. It went so fast that I didn't even touch a dolphin for more than a few seconds!!! If you have the money, and want to see the dolphins, I would suggest possibly doing the cheaper program.

Cassea G.

Yelp
What an amazing experience!!! Went for the first time with friends and wish I could go back. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed going to Dolphins Plus!!! I'm not going to lie at first I was a little nervous but, as soon as I started interacting with the dolphins all of my fear disapated! It was such a memorable and enjoyable experience. The dolphins were so gentle, sweet, and very well trained! This experience was one I would recommend you do!!! Dolphins Plus was the highlight of our trip to the keys!!! At first, before you get into the water, the trainers go over what you are and are not supposed to do. Then everyone gets lifejackets and you go to your group trainer. The dolphin trainers are with you the whole time and telling you what to do. The trainers will instruct you how to move your hands as to give the dolphins the proper commands. I felt very safe the whole time I was in the water and really started to relax and enjoy myself as I got to spend more time with the dolphins and their trainers. It was such a wonderful experience and I would recommend this to anyone! Below you can see some of my anxiety in the pictures but as the time passes you can see that I feel very safe and happy!! Such an amazing experience and cannot wait to go back!!! Recommend Dolphins Plus to everyone and anyone going to the Keys for a vacation!!!

Yelp
AMAZING experience, book this now for the highlight of your trip!! :) I loved it, the dolphins were friendly and happy, and we got fantastic photos from this! The staff were all incredibly NICE. They actually went above and beyond for us when we had a mishap with our travel plans, and I was so grateful! Very responsive over email and phone. We did the Structured Dolphin Swim (deep water), met the sea lions after, and we ended up buying our photo CD at the Dolphins Plus BAYSIDE location. I've been wanting to do this for 15 years, and this was the best place to do it :) It's in a natural bay too, so it's sea water, no sad concrete tanks. The trainers really seem to care for these animals and it shows. The only negative is that it's expensive, so budget for this. $210 pp for the swim, and the photos are $12 each, or $89 for the whole CD (~ 200 pics). Since we did 2 experiences (dolphins & sea lion) it was $119 for all of our photos. You can view them after and decide if you'd like to buy or not. I'd recommend making friends with your group, and asking them to take some pics while you're in the water, and you can do the same for them during their turn :)

Yelp
Awesome place! Great for family vacation! We have been back several times to swim. Each time the experience becomes an new memory. I love going with my family. We enjoy this during our stay in the keys. It has become a new tradition. I would highly recommend this place to friends and family. The staff is beyond welcoming and the place is clean. They have a gift and photo shop too. I will be back soon. Thank you! Keep up the great work with those wonderful dolphins.

Yelp
Wow! Okay so yes it's expensive 210 a kid for 20 minutes in the water but I would do it all over again. You're there about 1.5 hour. 45 minutes of lessons about the animals. Then your divided in groups and watch and wait for your turn. The experience was awesome and unforgettable! The staff was knowledgable and friendly. They made the kids feel comfortable and remembered their names. The kids had an amazing time and so did we watching from the side lines. I wish it was a bit cheaper. Maybe a package deal because then I would have paid for my wife and I as well. However we will be back FOR SURE, as my wife and I would love to swim with the Dolphins as well.

Yelp
Our three daughters all 12 and under participated in the platform-based dolphin experience at their Oceanside location. The employees were all knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. You could tell their staff genuinely cares about the wellbeing of the animals and the environment in which they live. Our new dolphin friends Bob and Alfonz were playful and loads of fun. This was a great family memory and a great life and learning experience. When in Key Largo it is worth the time and the money for this fantastic family experience.
