Dom Peixe is a must-visit for fish lovers! The huge grilled fish was cooked perfectly, and the side dishes especially the fantastic hand-cut chips and tomato rice were delicious. The service was also top-tier: attentive, professional, and efficient. It's clear the staff pays attention to the details, making for a truly wonderful dining experience. Great food, great service. Highly recommend this spot!

If you are a seafood lover visiting Porto, Dom Peixe is an absolute must-visit. This restaurant is a true gem, offering some of the freshest and most flavorful seafood I have ever experienced. From the moment you walk in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The star of the menu is undoubtedly their grilled fish. Cooked to perfection over charcoal, the fish retains its natural juiciness while carrying that wonderful smoky flavor that makes each bite irresistible. The variety is impressive—whether you choose sea bass, dourada, or their catch of the day, you can expect it to be fresh, tender, and expertly prepared. The sides complement the mains beautifully, from crisp salads to perfectly seasoned potatoes, ensuring a balanced and satisfying meal. Beyond the fish, Dom Peixe excels in presenting seafood with simplicity and elegance, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine through. The service is attentive yet relaxed, with staff happy to recommend the best pairings and explain the day’s specials. No meal here is complete without indulging in dessert. Their homemade sweets are the perfect ending—light, flavorful, and crafted with the same care as the mains. The combination of top-notch seafood and delightful desserts makes this restaurant stand out even in a city famous for its food scene. In short, Dom Peixe is a place where freshness meets skill, and every dish is made with love. Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic, top-quality seafood in Porto.

Google
Good seafood restaurant. If you want to enjoy fresh seafood restaurant. This area is the area where local people go for seafood. You can get what you can expect!!! Fish soup was deep. Clam was normal. Hope there could be more deep olive oil with garlic but a bit simple taste but still fresh. Grilled sardine were nice. Charcoal grilled with salt. Polvo was soft!!! If you need to pick one dish then go for grilled fish( pick any fish you like. Perhaps ask staff what is the fish of the day)

Absolutely amazing food and service here!! Philippe is hands down the best server we could have gotten and he was so helpful in explaining the menu, showing us the different seafood options. Extremely satisfied with our meal.

We were recommended to come to this area for fresh fish. We were not disappointed. The fish was super fresh and beautifully presented. Service was outstanding. Excellent wine list, we chose the Quinta de Cidro Chardonnay, well matched. What a great find.

We visited around 4pm. Other restaurant has almost closed. We just stopped by this restaurant. It was lucky to visit here. Staff is so kind and every dish was delicious. Even the espresso coffee was so good. I want to visit again if I have a chance to visit Porto again.

Seafood was great, fresh with simple seasonings to bring out flavours. Fave dish was seafood soup and grill turbot. Fish are charged by portion weight which are very reasonable. Excellent service from our server who speaks good English. Will be back again.

Google
Amazing place with fresh seafood. We had the Turbot, Grouper and Sardines and it was all cooked to perfection. Paired with their local Douro wine it was excellent. Also give their Goose Barnacles a try since you can only find them around this region.

Yelp
Our party of 8 had a mixed experience - ranging from good, to bad, to horrific. Most folks liked the sea food (expected) and were happy. Vegetarians were completely ignored - out of the 4 things we ordered, we only got one (soggy veggies with no salt), and the staff did not bother to tell us that they didn't even have the eggplant we waited 40 mins for. We promptly left for another restaurant nearby. This was the Good and the Bad part. Now the horrific part was that one person in our group had severe food poisoning after the meal and took 2 days to recover. If you're a vegetarian, don't bother going here. Skip the inedible sardines and the tasteless seafood rice.

Yelp
A coworker of mine who was born and raised in Porto recommended this as his favourite restaurant for seafood in the Porto area and it did not disappoint! It's off the beaten path for tourism but honestly that just adds to the charm. The food was amazing, the seafood exceptionally fresh and the staff were so kind and attentive. We ordered the Turbot and the Octopus, after starting with the local cheese and smoked sausage. Everything was wonderful. Definitely will return if we're lucky enough to return to Porto some day.

Yelp
Eat here now. Seriously. Came here per some foodie friends' recommendations and were not disappointed. We came around 4pm on a Wednesday and had the whole place to ourselves. Enjoyed some vinho verde that paired well with everything: sardines were incredibly fresh and it was great to see they didn't need to do much beyond grilling them to create a tasty dish. The two dishes that stole the show, though, were the octopus salad and the monkfish & shrimp risotto -- both bursting with incredible flavor and freshness, it's nearly impossible not to love seafood after an experience like this.

Yelp
Came here on the suggestion of our hotel driver. The area is well known as seafood restaurant row since there is a commercial fishing dock nearby and tons of fresh seafood restaurants lining the street. We had the grilled sea bass which was moist and flaky. The sangria was yellow colored and citrusy rather than the red version, which was very refreshing. The octopus rice had plenty of chunks of octopus but the rice was a bit overcooked as it was really soft and mushy. Service was very good too. They replaced our cloth napkins frequently.

Yelp
Excellent food at Fisher men's area. Fresh fish served with good wine selections. Professional staff speak English. Locals meeting point. Price for 2 around 50 EUR!
