Often in Corsica we've had a sense that were just an annoyance to staff in cafes and restaurants, its almost like there is some etiquette or unwritten code of conduct that we have missed or that somebody has failed to divulge and so we are constantly making cultural faux pas or that we are visiting a distant wealthy cousin who seems to have better things to do than spend time catering for our seemingly unending requests and insurmountable needs. There is this strange situation where a cafe seems to be open but not serving food, serving hours are severely limited, just two hours for lunch and dinner. Brunch or afternoon tea are clearly considered absurdities in France.
This winery is a good hour's drive from Ajaccio, and if you stop for lunch on the way you're likely to arrive at the unsociable hour of 2pm when the restaurant is closed. They'll not welcome your presence until the shop opens at 3pm so don't forget that you're here for them and not the other way around. They don't post their opening hours on google or their website so it's a game of chance that you won't come on the day that they're actually closed altogether.
So we sat outside for an hour and sheepishly ventured in at 3, the shop was a shelf with half a dozen wines, the whites and rose already sold out. Felt a bit awkward asking for tastings but the wines are good, and left with a bottle of fizz
