This is our second visit so we thought we'd better review. The accommodation is great with a lovely country French chic feel, the food by Monsieur Vincent is absolutely to our taste, so much so that my wife dragged two recipes out of him! The welcome and food add up to a high recommendation from us, we will be back for more.

A very comfortable and easy overnight stay. Not hugely expensive and the breakfast is well recommended. Easy driving distance from Parentis-en-Born for essential supplies and fuel. I stayed in a well appointed en suite room, which was thankfully quiet. A little further from the motorway than I would have preferred is the only slightly negative point.

Loved all of this from start to finish. Lovely, quiet location. Friendly welcome. Cosy room with views over fields (and horses). Great food and company for dinner and breakfast. Catherine made allowances for vegetarian and gluten free requirements at dinner. Four poster bed was very luxurious and quaint fittings in the shower room. Would recommend.

Wow where do I start with this fabulous accommodations. Emmanuelle is the perfect host - she has definitely found her calling! Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 5 nights. ||A delicious breakfast every morning with fresh bread and pastries, a new type of cake every morning, eggs from the farm and jam and yogurt made by the host. On our first morning Emmanuelle discussed in detail the amenities and all information about the area. She answered any question we had and gave the best restaurant recommendations.||We rented bikes for free from the host and cycled around the area one day. ||I would recommend renting a car if you do not have one with you. ||I have a very high standard of accommodation and this farmhouse was that! Spotless, full of character, quiet with plenty nearby. We went for the cheapest room available which was perfect and at such a reasonable price. The bed was so comfy and we had plenty of space in the room. ||||We will definitely be back again. Highly recommended!

We spent two nights in this comfy chambre d'hote. Our bedroom was furnished in the shabby chic style and we had an enormous, very comfortable four poster bed. Breakfast was a convivial affair, sharing a long table with other guests, with a lovely selection of home-made produce. There were yoghurts made with milk from the owners Freisan cows, and home-made pastries and jams. Emmanuelle loaned us bikes for the day, and we explored the two nearby lakes on very well maintained cycle paths. The area is flat and perfect for cycling, with paths clearly signposted.

We had a great stay at the Domaine de L'Escuderia and really enjoyed the big and nicely decorated room. The host was very welcoming and breakfast was delicious with home-made products. Nothing really to complain about. We highly recommend this charming little place!

L'Escuderia was the highlight of our recent holiday. Emmanuelle, the owner, has found her vocation as a chambre d'hote host. Her welcome was genuinely warm and she has an eye for detail when it comes to decor - muted colours, embroidered linens. The house is a maison de maitre. It has a lot of character and is surrounded by fields, pine and oak. I loved the breakfasts especially the home-made creme caramels and little cakes. Practically speaking, the beds were comfortable, the shower powerful and hot, and the use of the little kitchen meant we could eat in instead of going to a restaurant when we wanted.||It's a short drive to a lakeside beach [Ipse, I think it's called] and a very good lakeside restaurant [La Caravelle]. Just a bit further are the beaches along the Atlantic coast - incredibly windy when we were there, but beautiful with dunes and pine trees stretching for miles.||We loved seeing Emmanuelle's much loved horses too. To be honest, I can't think of one negative. I can't wait to go back.

This is such a beautiful place to stay. Emmaunelle, the owner is the perfect host, helpful, present but not intrusive. She was lovely to the children - finding them toys to play with. Her breakfasts are sublime. It's great to have access to a kitchen and a beautiful garden to eat it in. We're looking forward to going back.
