A Natural Wine-Focused Itinerary in France's Loire Valley - AFAR
"An elegant estate run by Laura Semeria that specializes in sauvignon–chardonnay blends and a wine from the rare romorantin grape; the property doubles as a unique place to stay with a wooden cabin set amid the vineyards (equipped with a kitchen and sauna) and offers tastings Monday through Friday, with overnight rates from about €120 per night and a two-night weekend minimum." - Emma John
Natural Wine Is on the Rise in France's Loire Valley - AFAR
"A small natural-wine producer run by an Italian-born winemaker who relocated to the Loire; the estate crafts expressive local whites (Cheverny/sauvignon blanc) that read pale green in the glass with late-summer berry aromas. The wines aim to capture the surrounding countryside’s character—gentle complexity that feels both rooted in place and modern in sensibility—and are presented as honest reflections of terroir, enhanced by the maker’s personal commitment to the region." - Emma John
Vincent the wine maker gave our group a deep intelligent tour and tasting of a modern winery's passionate pursuit of making honest wine from the land. Incredible.

My favorite vineyard of the Cour-Cheverny appellation, with excellent white wine made from the rare Romorantin grape. Organic and biodynamic growers of great talent, they also produce aoc Cheverny wines in white, rosé and red versions.

Out of the local wineries we toured / tasted, this had our absolute favorite wines. Vincent was kind and accommodating and it was clear just how much passion he has for wine making. A highlight of our trip for sure - in a week of Loire valley tastings, Domaine de Montcy had our favorite white wines.

Excellent! We arrived unannounced and they were able to give us a tour of the facility and show us the vineyard before sitting down to enjoy tasting 9 different wines. Highly recommend if you are in the area

Very interesting tour of this small organic winery, it was an eye-opener how difficult organic winemaking is! Nice lunch and wine to taste followed. The wine was not really to my taste but I enjoyed the tour.
