Le Domaine du Moulin (Ensisheim, Grand Est) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"A garden, pond and swimming pool surround this large and comfortable house, recently built in authentic Alsatian - style. In the guestrooms, the made - to - measure wooden furniture brings to mind a traditional mill interior. The restaurant is laid out in a former miller's house." - Tablet Hotels

The French elegance & class! The hotel rooms are large , beautiful details such as the same wooden floor all around in the room and bathroom and around the bed soft carpet . Coffee machine top brand 👌, relaxing view to well maintained garden with pond and outdoor swimming pool . In the room, there is prepared a spa bag with spa towels and a robe as well . If you travel by car , there is large parking ,including the price of the room . The restaurant is a top-class service with a delicious gourmet. Spa is a must with Lisa ,her magical touch of professional & delicate hands . What else do you need for a perfect relaxing day.

Our recent stay at Hôtel Spa Domaine du Moulin near Colmar was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the hotel's charming atmosphere and tranquil surroundings. The spa facilities were a highlight, offering a perfect escape for relaxation and rejuvenation. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the incredible dining at the hotel's restaurant. We were consistently impressed by the quality and creativity of the dishes. The flavors were outstanding, and each meal was a delightful culinary journey. The service was impeccable, with the staff being both attentive and knowledgeable. A special thank you to the entire restaurant team for making our evenings so memorable. We highly recommend Hôtel Spa Domaine du Moulin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with an outstanding culinary experience.

The Landwerlin family should be proud of this hotel. The rooms are excellent with high quality, modern fittings; the parking was good and the breakfast 5* too and at €25pp it needed to be. We enjoyed the pool (outdoor) after a long drive on a muggy day. Lovely reception staff.||The one draw back was dinner. It was a Sunday and I guess they had had a huge lunch service, but the food was not very good for the price and the service was pretty dire. French guests were getting up and going to the sole waiter in our area to press for service. We felt sorry for him, it was a clear case of understaffing.||Apart from this we would warmly recommend.

Booked three rooms for our travelling family, us and our 21 and 18 y.o plus partners. Hotel was very nice, though catered to the older crowd, particularly on the weekend. Spa was great though quite busy. Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection. Good base from which to explore local surroundings. Overall perfect for a few days / nights rest.

I really enjoyed my stays at the hotel. It is so beautiful and luxury. The services are so professional and supportive. Everyone working here is so nice and cooperation. I didn’t try all the facilities until now but I enjoyed the restaurant too and the Bar. The location and the view are so amazing 🤩

Excellent and comfortable family owned hotel located 20 minutes from Colmar in one direction and 20 minutes from Mulhouse in another. Also near the Franco/German border.||The hotel is impressive to look at and has been extended over the years. Most of it has been refurbished in the past few years so the hotel is in great condition. As well as a reception and bedrooms there is a bar, large restaurant in 2 parts, an excellent tea room with a good range of cakes , a beautiful spa and both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and an outside jacuzzi so the facilities are really good. Also excellent outdoor and underground indoor parking.||We took half board and the food was very good with large portions, well presented and no need to look at a la carte alternatives. The service was outstanding.||A few negatives, but which take very little away from the overall enjoyment of the hotel. The bar is a slightly dingy area and the only proper lounge area. The breakfast room is not used during the day so there is extra seating there. However there is only dining seating in that area. The 2 restaurants seem to be divided between those taking half board and those taking regular meals. The half board area is a little sparse, although very spacious. The lighting is all overhead spotlighting where lights at table level would improve the ambiance.||The bedrooms, although comfortable, are somewhat on the small side. Also the air conditioning is automatically turned off at 8.30 pm which makes the room warmer than it needs to be on a hot night.

We have stayed at Domaine de Moulin .. 6 times now en route to Corfu/England. We arrived after a very long day driving & all was well until dinner. I am a vegetarian , not by choice but due to health reasons & when I requested a vegetarian meal as I have on previous stays, I was met with no options . I was initially offered vegetable risotto , which I happily accepted but was then told that it was not possible . The waiter/ manager was flustered & said I could have an egg or a plate of vegetables. I asked for a salad & that was all I could have . The salad came & was a bag of washed leaves with carrot shavings & dressing. That was my evening meal . My husband spoke very nicely to the female owner of the hotel but she really didn’t care at all . ….she stated that I had been offered eggs . No apology or recognition that that the leaves & carrot was so inadequate as a meal. I was very embarrassed & made to feel very unwelcome. After 9 hours driving I went to bed so hungry . Imagine my disappointment when checking out that we had been charged for the leaves & carrot . We are so disappointed with the hotel & the fact that as regular guests we were made to feel so unwelcome. Such a contrast to the previous evening in Italy, where the chef created an amazing meal for me during a busy service. My advice would be , if you have any dietary restrictions do not choose this hotel. It’s a beautiful hotel , spoilt this time by the owners choice not to react appropriately to a genuine guest concern.

Yelp
Restaurant: Food was delicate with inventive varations over traditional Alsacian themes, even in the 21 EUR three course menu. Facilities were comfortable, spacious, smart. Service was very attentive, and we got a good wine recommendation. Hotel: Very good rooms (as they should be, for the price). All staff was very attentive, smiling -- as in the restaurant. There were some tendency for the front desk to be short-staffed at times, so there could 3-4 people waiting in line.
