Domaine Le Mouflon D'Or

Le Mouflon d’Or is “worth the voyage”. A superb palace in an unlikely place. But we found the visit not only to be worthwhile, but a remarkable. The building itself is a marvel; a typically austere Corsican stone structure, big and imposing. Rebuilt and remade with loving taste and care for the smallest details. Quality and refinement. Beautiful local antiques mixed with the most modern amenities. Pure luxury and pleasure. Excellent service from a professional staff. Extraordinary food of highest quality. Hearty breakfast. Expensive yes, but seen as an investment it is well worth it. Natural scenery to take one’s breath away. Fantastic hiking. A pleasant village. The hotel opened recently after years of restoration. It is not yet fully finished. But the swimming pool area is completed and offers opportunity of poolside leisure. When the spa is completed next year, the reason for visiting will be even more obvious. We will return.

The hotel is truly a dream, the staff, the grounds, the food, the decor, the rooms…truly just a world class experience and fantastic way to end our honeymoon. Specific shout out to Vincent, Marie, and Oceane who made our stay very memorable. We cannot wait to come back and see the hotel again in the coming years! The food and cocktail menu is something we will talk forever!

We had an excellent stay. Hotel is beautiful, swimming pool pleasant, staff young pleasant and discreet. ||I would go back and will recommend the hotel to friends and family. The presence of a washbasin in the toilet, a bidet in the bathroom, would have been appreciated. The restaurant if out of kilt in terms of pricing. We have been to other equally good restaurants in Corsica for half the price.

Had the most incredible stay and impeccable 5 star service! The hotel is beautiful, top quality, and thoughtfully designed. I cannot say enough good things about the team that works here. The breakfast spread is what dreams are made of and the restaurant was phenomenal. I hope to come back!

This hotel is an absolute gem! The architecture and interior design are a gorgeous mix of old and new, with one-of-a-kind antique light fixtures, furniture, decor, and artworks in every area, along with comfortable new furniture. The beds are very plush and we slept incredibly well in the quiet room with excellent sound proofing.||||The staff are so warm and helpful; they made great recommendations, organized a fun outing for us, made us feel very at home, and ensured we had an amazing experience.||||The food is delicious, from breakfast to dinner, and there is a great selection of local wines.||||The property has lovely views and an abundance of trees, flowers, herbs, and plants. Its beauty is matched only by that of the surrounding area, filled with farms, mountains, waterfalls, and a couple of archaeological sites. We enjoyed the Aiguilles de Bavella hike, Cucuruzzu, the Coscione Plateau, and the Purcaraccia waterfalls (an excursion that the front desk organized for us with a guide).||||We had such a great time exploring the Maquis, and enjoying the serenity of the hotel. It’s a truly unique experience that should not be missed!

The room is large and beautifully decorated. The pool is great. The food is top notch. The hikes near the hotel are amazing.

Fabulous new luxury hotel that just went through a massive renovation. Beautiful rooms, pool, amazing staff, and definitely worth a detour on your trip to come stay here. Beautifully done.
