Domaine Les Roullets, Near Oppède, Provence, France - Explore & Book

"This fortified farm stands midway between Oppède and Ménerbes, villages that found themselves on opposite sides during the Religious Wars, hence the defenses. But times change and these days the farm stands in 7 hectares of blissful peace, half of which are home to a small vineyard.Wander through the beautifully manicured landscape and find olive trees by the score, balls of lavender to scent the air, lawns that sprawl under the shade of tall pines and fabulous views of the Luberon. There are a couple of fountains, a glistening pool and a terrace for breakfast in the sun, but best of all are the seriously indulgent rooms. Expect stone walls, big beds, leather heads, lots of contemporary art; bathrooms are predictably funky too. Elsewhere, local hilltop villages (all with super restaurants) host an extensive programme of summer events, including opera in a disused quarry courtesy of Pierre Cardin. Mont Ventoux is close for cyclists, while antique hunters will love L’Isle-sur-La-Sorgue. Highs The house and setting are both spectacularThe stylish rooms don’t hold back - expect a little luxuryThis is a supremely peaceful spot; if you’re looking for silence, you’ll find it hereThe immediate area is teeming with hilltop villages and vineyards Lows There's no restaurant and you’re out in the country, so most nights you’ll have to drive out to eatYou'll need a car if you want to explore the area It’s not child-friendly - a high for some" - Tom Bell

Incredibly happy with our stay here. The property is beautiful, the gardens are very well kept and there is everything available on site to be able to fully relax and enjoy (pool, sauna, jacuzzi, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, gym, tennis court, etc.). We had planned to visit the region more but in the end we spent more time just enjoying the Domaine. Location is perfect though, just 20 min drive from every major Luberon village. The staff is also very lovely and welcoming. Thanks again to Vanessa and the rest of the team for a lovely stay!

We had such a relaxing and peaceful stay at Domaine Les Roullets! The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Each room had a terrace overlooking the stunning grounds. We enjoyed the heated pool, and the hot tub overlooking the vineyard. Vanessa was an excellent host and prepared a delicious and fresh breakfast each morning. Domaine Les Roullets is perfectly situated to explore the nearby villages and hilltop towns of Provence. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Domaine Les Roullets for a few days. The grounds were gorgeous and we only wished we had slightly warmer weather to enjoy the pool and tennis courts. They also have a sauna, jacuzzi, wine tasting, and kitchens available. The Domaine is also located in a great spot close to many of the picturesque towns of the Luberon region. Vanessa was also great and made a lovely and simple breakfast every morning. Would love to come back and stay again!

We chose this upmarket b&b from previous reviews and we were not disappointed. The property and grounds are stunning and the rooms are excellent from the L'Occitane toiletries to the USB leads provided for your mobile phones etc. What made our holiday so memorable was the host, Vanessa. She was wonderful and attentive, from providing delicious breakfasts to recommending restaurants in the area. This in my opinion is the "go to" place when staying in the Luberon. Not only because of the property, but because of it's location being so near to beautiful villages and vineyards.

Domaine Les Roullets...You will be in my dreams for years! We were absolutely blown away by our stay here. Vanessa was so welcoming and warm when we arrived, our room was beautiful and spacious, and the grounds are truly incredible. This is the perfect place for a relaxing few days in Provence, where you're a short bike ride or drive to a number of hilltop villages, and have the option to relax all day on the property and make dinner in the communal kitchen. The pool is absolutely stunning, and Vanessa has supplied the property with towels, extra sunscreen, board games, etc. The property has its own wine and offers wine tours, although we didn't have time to do a wine tasting (the rose was great, which we purchased for 12 euro / bottle!). We rented e-bikes for the day and traveled through the region - would highly recommend. The highlight of our stay was the beautiful farm-to-table breakfast each morning. Domaine Les Roullets is an oasis in the region, and Vanessa just makes the entire stay special with her finishing touches and her excellent recommendations!

I will never be able to put into words how special Domaine Les Roullets is. The location, the breathtaking property, the gardens, the service, the thoughtful details will all exceed your expectations and leave you thinking about this place long after you leave. My husband (then boyfriend) and I visited May 2023 and got engaged by the beautiful oak tree on property. Vanessa, the hotel manager, was so helpful and supportive in helping my husband find the perfect place to propose and help made the trip unforgettable. We loved the property so much that we decided to book Domaine Les Roullets as our destination wedding venue (we're from California) and it was nothing short of magical just as we expected. Of course the venue is absolutely beautiful and an unforgettable place to get married, but the attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and kindness Vanessa and her staff showed throughout the planning process and throughout our wedding weekend is what truly makes this place special. Our friends and family commented multiple times on Vanessa's warm, inviting, and helpful attitude. She truly goes above and beyond for every person who steps on the property. The willingness to go the extra mile, paired with the beauty of the venue, made our wedding weekend even more special than we could have imagined. We cannot thank Vanessa and the entire team at Domaine Les Roullets enough for making our dream wedding a reality. If you're looking for a wedding venue in Provence that combines beauty with outstanding service, this is the place. And if you're looking for one of the best kept secrets in Provence, you must book a stay here - you'll never want to leave. My husband and I are already talking about the next time we can sneak away to Domaine Les Roullets and our friends and family are already commenting how they can't wait to come back. We'll be making memories here for the rest of our lives. Thank you again for the most wonderful experience!

My husband and I had the most wonderful time at Domaine Les Roullets. The grounds are absolutely stunning and very tranquil. The breakfasts are made with delicious, fresh ingredients and were my favorite part of the stay. Vanessa, the manager, is very helpful and kind. Would definitely stay here again!

Everthing about Domaine Les Roullets was perfect. I would give a million stars for the service if I could. The couple that owns it was so kind and helped us with everything we needed. The property has everything you need and more. The breakfast with local breads and homemade yogurt and jam was one of our favorite breakfasts ever. The wine was also delicious. The location was perfect - we were able to go to so many towns we wanted to see nearby. The pictures don't do it justice because the atmosphere the hosts create is beyond words or photos. We hope to return soon for a longer stay. (Also, after staying in more traditional European hotels, the soft sheets, large bathrooms, and comfy bed and pillows were extra nice. You can tell they thoughtfully chose everything.)
