Domaine Maltoff

We sadly only stayed one night here but would love to return for longer. We had a room that slept three in good space and considerable charm. All spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our room opened to a lovely roof terrace with lounge furniture and also a small kitchen with fridge and microwave. The garden courtyard was beautiful and a lovely place to sit. There is a large barn dining room/sitting room with an amazing glass floor under which is an grand piano. The wine made in the vineyard is very good. Hosts were welcoming. My only criticism is that a 6pm arrival time is rather late and it would have been greatly appreciated if we could have gained access before that after a tiring and long drive. Breakfast was absolutely excellent. Would love to return for longer.

Two nights here in a rural town in the heart of wine country and even at the doorsteps of an important vintner/wine producer. We had a room on the upstairs patio, and had it all to ourselves most of the time. A little kitchen (detached, short distance from rooms) provided all that we needed to put together simple meals to enjoy outdoors in the fine weather (along with bottles of the proprietor's excellent rosé wines). We used it as HQ for visiting surrounding Burgundy regions, including serious tastings in Chablis and Irancy. The décor of the spacious room was a little kitschy, but the bed was good, and the plumbing worked.

Very friendly and clean, comfortable and quiet in the middle of a French Wine Village!||Jean Pierre gave us an overview of how he makes his wine in the cellar under the house.||Breakfasts were very nice and there is a small common room where you can have a bite of lunch or dinner with what you bring back from your excursions. ||Located in between Auxerre and Vezelay, Chablis is nearby, as is Avalon. ||Wonderful drives all around, great food everywhere!||We will be back!

Two nights in this delightful village wine producer's house. Excellent spacious and high quality decoration, furniture and fittings. Breakfast a treat. Bought two cases of their excellent wine. Nothing too much trouble for the hosts.

The room was O. K. BUT!!! The hospitality was outstanding, including a personal talk about wine tasting, in the Maltoff's cave. The breakfast is (now!) no less then great! It is at least! One of the best B&B on the way back from Bourgogne to Paris or vice versa. Thanks Jean-Pierre.

Very nice chambres d'hotes in Burgundi in the house of a wine maker. Very friendly host, nice, clean and cosy environment.

Deze chambres d’hotes is precies zoals je hem het liefste hebt! Een prachtig pand, sfeervolle inrichting met oog voor detail, een superaardige eigenaar, ontbijt inclusief, en je mag hun wijn proeven. Er is zelfs een keukentje waar je zelf mag koken en koffie en thee kan zetten. Zelf koken zou ik niet doen, want je kan voor een appel en ei heerlijk eten bij Maison Roger, dat zowat om de hoek zit. En onze motoren mochten in de garage. Wat wil een mens nog meer?

Groupe de motards, nous avons fait escale au domaine de Maltoff pour une nuit. Chambres parfaites (literie, propreté, équipement, salle de bain). L’accueil de JPierre fut chaleureux avec une dégustation des vins du domaine. Le petit déjeuner est super copieux. Nous avons passés un très agréable moment. Je recommande ++++
