Dome Hotel

We've stayed at the Dome four years in a row. We love hearing few english voices and being the minority. The rooms, fixtures and fittings are tired but the whole atmosphere of the hotel is calming. Out the front and you're in the town which is bustling whilst out the back is peace and quiet with the sunbathing area, pool, sea water pool and steps down into the sea. The breakfast offering is decent and the food at the Anchor restaurant linked to the hotel is good and reasonably priced. There are plenty of other restaurants within easy walking distance. If you hire a car you'll spend a lot of time sitting in traffic trying to get out of and back into Kyrenia. If you're after a relaxing holiday, sunbathing, swimming and reading with a daily relaxed stroll around the town, the Dome is ideal for you. If you want entertainment, noise, and tripping about, I'd go elsewhere. Needless to say that next year, we'll go all around the houses looking at other possibly cheaper locations and probably return to the Dome because we love it!

This fantastic establishment, is a remarkable part of our Cyprus vacations. We have been visiting this hotel for the past 10 years. From it's unmatched location, to the incredibly hospitable staff, from it's history to it's unique story and management style, Dome Hotel stands above from it's competitors with it's boutique style. The restaurant within the hotel premises, "Anchore" , offers fine examples of Cypriot cuisine with excellent service and beautiful view of old town Kyrenia. I strongly recommend for anyone visiting. We sure will be back.

Just returned from another wonderful stay at the dome the staff as usual are very friendly and helpful we had a sea view room which had been refurbished with a walk in shower and good air con also a tv and stocked fridge |We have stayed at the dome several times we mostly eat at the Anchor restaurant a part of the dome wide selection of food and a lovely setting the dome breakfast has everything you could want and has a egg station it would be nice to have more fresh fruit ie peaches banana there are plenty of sun loungers and the pool is lovely we will be back again

Location and facilities were great. No kettle in the room, frequent electrical blackouts, extra charge for room service for ice and cutlery. Otherwise it was lovely.

It's very nice there and also the area has lifeguard's soo it's safe!||The hotel is perfect, it has everything you need, excellent staff, and right in front the beach offers the best view

The check in was professional and swift with a warm genuine smile. The location is extraordinary. The Seaview room was beautifully decorated and clean. The bathroom had a full size bathtub to soak in and the verandah was expansive. The bed and pillows were excellent and the towels were nice and fluffy. Finally the breakfast is outstanding with a large selection of hot and cold goodies on offer including made to order omelettes from an open kitchen.|We love the place. |

We have visited North Cyprus may times and know and love the island. Having been together for 28 years we were married in August this year and decided to go for our 'honeymoon' to North Cyprus this, after a 4 year gap. Flight and hotels booked we had to cancel due to health concerns and after a wait and an all-clear were able re-book all. ||We chose the Dome, knowing the hotel but not having stayed there before. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the town and on the seafront, a stones throw from the newly renovated Venetian harbour.||On arrival we received a wonderful warm welcome and our cases were whisked up to our room. We had been told that we would have a nice room with a large balcony. To our amazement were were shown into a large suite, traditionally furnished with a large super comfortable bed a jacuzzi bath, and huge balcony this was accompanied by a large platter of fruit.||The hotel itself is traditional with original beautiful interior stained glass panels. The hotel is clean and well maintained. There was a huge selection of food at the buffet breakfast and we were able to enjoy it outside looking at the pool and surrounding sea. ||Swimming was a joy, the sea was warm and crystal clear. There is a seawater pool and steps down into the sea for swimm from the hotel decking area built over the rocks. A bit hard to describe, you have to see photos.||Finally but not least, we can't thank Diler (on reception) for making us feel so welcome and special thoughout our whole stay. Can’t wait to go back.|||

This hotel is very old, the staff were not friendly, on the first day my mum came out of the bathroom and shut the door, after a few seconds we heard a huge crash that came from the bathroom. I ran in, to my horror I found the whole window plus the frame on the floor, it landed just where my mum had been standing moments before!! God was looking after us that day , this could have been fatal. I was horrified, I told the receptionist who brushed it off and said he would speak to maintenance. He did not even apologise or ask if we were okay. This is unacceptable behaviour. I also told our cyprus paradise rep, who went and spoke to them to double check the window. Half way through the holiday the main lights in the room stopped working, I told reception and the same man told me to use the small lamps by the mirrors. NO ONE CAME TO FIX ANYTHING. All I can say is WOW.!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY PURPOSES. The view was nice, and it was quiet around the pool. THE ROOM WE HAD WAS FACING THE MAIN ROAD, SO IT WAS VERY NOISY, SO YOU WON'T SLEEP EITHER. NOT THE BEST EXPERIENCE. GOOD LUCK IF YOU ARE STAYING THERE. MISERABLE STAFF TOO.
