Domes Zeen Chania, a Luxury Collection Resort, Crete

We came here for our mini moon. The resort is certainly beautiful. However, for the money, our room should’ve been more private. We could hear everything and everyone who passed by and our room was right on a corner everyone passed so it felt very exposed. The staff by the pool and beach was very capable. The concierge who greeted us was stalling as our room clearly wasn’t ready in time which was a bit annoying. The food was good, though half board felt a bit limiting as if you want to go out for dinner, the half board lunch isn’t great. The breakfast was amazing, one of the best we’ve seen. The beach area was so lovely and should be promoted more! One day there were so beds available so we just went to the pool which was nice as well. If you’re worried about children ruining your stay, we found the children were quiet and overall well behaved. You’ll notice them at the pool but not at the beach. Again, given this wasn’t an adults only hotel, you’ll notice them in your room since there is little privacy.

Special call outs to Marina Meme, Denisa, Eleni, Anastasios, and Manolis - you were all amazing and helped make our stay special!||||This dedication to kindness truly sets Domes Zeen apart. We eagerly anticipate our return!||||Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable. 🙏||||Important note on Ocean View Rooms-Be aware that some of the ocean view rooms have obstructed views. Notably, rooms in the 3000 level have ocean views partially obscured by the 2nd floor structures of buildings directly in front, unlike the unobstructed views offered by the 1000 and 2000 level rooms (specifically request and get confirmation for a 1000 or 2000 level room if booking a sea view sapphire pavilion!)

Amazing family friendly resort. The concierge team is exceptional- especially Chris! The kids club is superb and the spa amazing. The pool has a lifeguard and kids are made to feel so special here- even getting gifts upon check in.

First, the star takes extreme pride in the grounds and their work at this well-kept resort. The landscaping, pool and rooms are beautiful. The food and service were excellent. ||Next, check in was easy and Chris made us feel right at home. We only stayed here for a few days but would highly recommend 5-7 days at this hotel. The spa service was great and beds were comfortable. ||The location is great too as it’s a 30 minute walk into town and the nearby port with lots of restaurant and shopping options.

Really liked the aesthetic of the resort and the rooms are spacious and lovely. The breakfast spread was nice but generally the restaurants are on the pricier side. The biggest disappointment was the pool which was not heated. It might work well in the summer months but if you are travelling in the shoulder season expect very cold water and the pool basically unusable. Also quite surprised that the housekeeping did not clear away used food wrappers/old snacks (which the hotel provided) for the 4 days we stayed at the resort.

I've had a wonderful stay at Domes Zeen Chania. Thank you to the entire team that made the stay so much more enjoyable including Sophia, Chris and Dimitri. They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best honeymoon. The service was impeccable and the property is so beautiful and well kept. It literally feels like you are in a modern jungle surrounded by water. You truly do not want to miss out on this experience and I would highly recommend a stay here for anyone considering. I would definitely book again with the Domes property.

Domes Zeen Chania is an absolute paradise! The location is breathtaking, right on the water, offering stunning views that left us in awe. Our room, closest to the water with no obstructions, was simply gorgeous and felt like a private oasis. The staff, especially Marialena, Natalie, and Theodore, provided exceptional care, attending to every detail with warmth and professionalism. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a fantastic selection of Greek options that we loved. The outdoor gym was a dream, perfectly blending fitness with the stunning surroundings. We adored the beautiful walk along the coastline to the Old Harbor, a highlight of our trip. We can’t wait to return to this incredible hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at Domes Zeen Chania.||After a long journey, we were warmly welcomed and taken care of by Christos, who followed us up throughout the stay with genuine care and professionalism. From restaurant bookings to room arrangements, his support made all the difference.||The Sapphire Pavilion with private pool was absolutely magical – the view, the peace, the little details. We were also greeted with a bottle of prosecco in the room, which was such a lovely surprise. On our last day, we even received a personal goodbye and a toast at the beach. These small gestures meant a lot and made the experience unforgettable.||The food at the resort was great, breakfast in particular was exceptional. We also got great recommendations for restaurants in Chania Old Town – such a charming area to explore.||If I could wish for one thing, it would be the option of all-inclusive, and perhaps a buffet dinner once or twice a week to make it a bit more relaxed – but that’s purely personal preference.||Overall, this turned into one of our best holiday experiences.
