Dominican Tree House Village

Going to the Dominican Tree House Village was the exact trip we needed. Once we got checked in and in our room, we all felt a sense of rest like never before. So much so, we slept probably majority of the time there. Blame it on the rain and nature's white noise (I wish I could bring those sounds home). But our stay was great. Lodging was nice, beds were comfy, food was delicious, people we nice, zip lining was crazy fun, and so much more. Not being able to use our phones was another plus. We were able to disconnect from technology and connect with one another on a different level. So if you're looking for an escape or a place to retreat, this is it!

We had an excellent time. The staff was so incredibly welcoming and attentive. The folks at the front desk/bar: Lisa, who checked us in and checked on us often; Alex, who asked if anything in the treehouse wasn't working right (we had a ceiling leak during the rains, for example) and sent folks to fix things immediately; and the clown prince of DTHV, Angel, who kept the drinks and fun flowing all day and into the night. Because of the absence of wifi or cellular connection (which was a major draw for us), the atmosphere lent itself to connecting with and getting to know fellow guests. The main hall was very lively. Our airport pickup and drop off were handled seamlessly and the champagne welcome on the drive to the village (we booked the VIP package) was a welcome touch. The zipline dudes were exceptional (and it was the highest zipline I've ever been on) and our guide on the waterfall/beach excursion (Leo) was terrific. Food was very good - not out of this world, but very good. If you're considering going, know that: you'll be in the jungle - it's rustic. That means no walls, no A/C and the electricity might go out on occasion. It's slippery when wet and it's not as bug-free as they claim (it wasn't horribly buggy, either - but you will need repellent). Your stuff (and you) will be damp for days. It's a three-hour ride from/to the airport and the drivers are nuts. In other words, it ain't for everyone. But if you go all-in and temper your western-travel-style expectations, you will be amply rewarded.

The lobby itself is the heart of the property — restaurant, bar, chill area, games, hammocks — perfect for disconnecting. The property is filled with stunning corners: a jungle pool, fire pit with swings, Bali-style spots, and endless photo-worthy spaces.||||Rooms vary in size; the highest ones require many stairs but reward you with incredible views. There’s no air conditioning — rooms are open, cooled by powerful fans, and nights are pleasantly cool.||||Food & drinks:||Breakfast is included (classic and Dominican options). Light food is available in the afternoon (sandwiches and soups), and dinner is either à la carte or buffet depending on occupancy. Simple, satisfying, and well done.||||Extras that elevate the stay:||– $10 massages (amazing)||– Included yoga classes||– Exceptionally warm and attentive staff||||Good to know: bring insect repellent and embrace the jungle vibe — you’re truly in nature.||||Final verdict:||Dominican Treehouse Village is authentic, magical, and unforgettable. Perfect for anyone looking to disconnect and experience nature in a unique way.||||Would I go back? Without a doubt.

This is the third time we have brought a group to the Treehouse! We are always treated like family! If you truly want to unwind and disconnect this the place! Our group of 40 plus enjoyed the use of the entire resort. The fabulous food was all cooked in the kitchen and served buffet style. The staff was friendly and our group enjoyed the nightly fires. Aurea the manager was the true rock star of this place! She is a beautiful sole and worked her butt off. One small downside. We had the rum package and I would suggest you skip that option and bring your own. The resorts rum was not very good and we where surprised they did not offer Brugal.

It was truly unique experience. I was a bit apprehensive but once we settled in it was a pleasant surprise. The travel companions were fantastic. Met some really great people and hope to do more trips with them. The food was outstanding!! Loved the flavors and rustic cooking.

The experience starts on arrival: you park and walk about 1 km through the jungle to the lobby (pack light and arrive before dark to fully enjoy it). The lobby is the heart of the property — restaurant, bar, chill area, games, hammocks… pure disconnect mode The property is a content creator’s paradise, with a gorgeous jungle pool, fire-pit with swings, Bali-style swing over water, and countless cozy corners for wine and conversation. Rooms vary in size; the largest sits at the highest point and includes an outdoor shower and incredible views (yes, lots of stairs). There’s no A/C, but powerful fans and cool nights make it comfortable. Breakfast is included, lunch is light, and afternoons come with sandwiches and soups on the house. Dinner varies between à la carte and buffet depending on occupancy — and everything we tried was delicious. Little details make this place special: $10 massages (amazing!), included yoga classes, and a staff that is truly 10/10 — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Dominican Treehouse Village is more than a hotel; it’s a nature-immersed, unique, and magical escape. Would I go back? Without a doubt.

Stayed two nights at the Dominican Treehouse Village and had a truly unique experience! This is a great opportunity for adventurous travelers who can be flexible. Highly recommend the excursions. Staff was so kind and helpful. Our host, JJ, helped make our time here truly unforgettable.

A once in a lifetime experience!! Disconnect from the electronic world and immerse yourself into the quiet of the jungle. These unique rooms are peaceful and very romantic!! Food was typical Dominican fare and delicious!! Spend the afternoon poolside, or in a wild waterfall or bike down to the beach ⛱️ I highly recommend!!
