It's a really good experience if you want to learn about the history of Utrecht from the very begging and you truely get to the bottom of the city. The guided tour was amazing and later the interactive experience with the flashlight and the beautiful graphics on the walls were a unique experience that I would recommend for all ages.

The first 30 minutes felt like a school presentation: awkward slideshow, broken English, and a few scattered questions. Nothing immersive, nothing atmospheric, just a monotone monologue in a cave. We left before the second part. Maybe it improves, but we were already too disappointed to care. At €15 per person, it simply felt like a waste.

It was an amazing experience to listen to the very interesting explanations of the tour guides and to see the excavations from the Roman times. The tour is really worth seeing it and is also easy to understand for people who don’t like classic historic places that much because of the interactive presentation

My family and I visited the place. It's safe to say that it was a pleasantly nice experience. The guides are knowledgeable and friendly. It is amusing to know that this site is still being excavated occasionally to reveal new information buried under the Dom Tower and Dom Church. P.S. Be mindful to reach the place on time because you could be denied entry otherwise.

Very nice tour, we did the up and under tour. It was very interesting and the guide knew a lot of the history

Knowledgeable tour guides and interactive exploration of the archeological site immediately in DOMplein. Felt like using laser tag. An innovative way of getting people to pay closer attention to the exhibit.

I recommend visiting DOMUnder; however, you must book tickets in advance because the tours get sold out quickly. It is a fun and interactive experience! You get to learn much of the 2000+ year history of Utrecht from the tour guides paired with a unique way to explore the site (video to start then audio with English available that is tied to a flashlight to scan within the excavation area). The tour guides are volunteers and very enthusiastic and helpful!

Train wreck When I did the Dom Tower climb in the morning, I saw people scrambling because they got misdirected for this activity. There I was later in the day told to wait in a certain area for the tour. It was wrong, and I, along with several others, we're scrambling. The guide then verbally attacked us for being late and then goes on how he is pressed for time toget the tour done so people can watch the soccer match. I was just as excited as any local, but we all traveled a long way for our trips. If it could not be done as we paid for, it should not have been done at all. The concept itself is absolutely outstanding but poorly executed. The introduction was a wealth of interesting information setting up the tour. Then you descend into the ACTUAL DIG! Here is where they have a short video, and then you go explore the dig with audio accompanying it. Thst is if you can find the triggers to activate the audio. The info was tremendous and told a great story. They were not easy to find till about 1/3 thru I mastered the system, but even then, it was hit or miss. At the end of it all, this was not a presentation to be rushed through, yet we were. Don't think anybody cared we were just rich tourists passing through.
