We just stayed at Domus Renier in January. The location is fabulous, and we enjoyed the relaxed, quiet atmosphere in Chania at this time of year. The hotel was gorgeous and everyone we interacted with went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special and memorable. They offered fantastic recommendations and helped to coordinate a driver for a 4-hour tour of sights just outside Chania. The breakfasts were delicious with a tower of pastries, smoothies, and yogurt followed by an entree selection (and, of course, espresso!) Our room was beautiful, and the view of the harbor was spectacular. Thank you to all of the hotel staff we had the pleasure of meeting!

We actually stayed at Domus Fresco, separate rooms just a few doors away, but I wanted to place the review here since the property is managed by this hotel. We had a problem on arrival late at night. It was quickly fixed, but the hotel manager, Sandy, went out of her way to make amends, organising a gift basket and breakfast for us at the hotel. She was really wonderful and the customer service was 5 star.||The breakfast was amazing - a la carte and all home made, served in a beautiful room by a lovely server. ||The location is amazing. We loved Chania and cannot wait to come back to stay at the hotel.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ |My stay at this boutique hotel in the heart of Old Town Chania was nothing short of perfection! The staff were exceptionally warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home, offering personalized recommendations that made our exploration of Chania unforgettable. The hotel itself is a charming gem, blending historic elegance with modern comfort. And the breakfast? Absolutely incredible—freshly baked pastries, local Cretan specialties, and the best coffee I’ve ever had, all served in a picturesque courtyard. Every detail was flawless, and I can’t wait to return! Highly recommend this haven for anyone visiting Chania.

This is a gorgeous, small hotel. The building dates from about 1606 and has been lovingly restored and converted with real elegance and style, while the staff are unfailing helpful and friendly. It is also ideally situated on the waterfront with easy access to the sites of the old town. If we had a quibble it would be that the ‘tech’ in our room could have done with guide notes e.g the shower had five (!) controls that inevitably led to a cold dowse, while the tv needed you to tune to YouTube if you wanted a channel, which required a receptionist to come and explain.

We had an amazing stay here. This was the last hotel of our honeymoon trip and by far the most elegant hotel we've ever stayed at. The staff were all amazing. The room was immaculate and the view was beautiful. Our little balcony was such a delight. The breakfasts included a delightful little tower of treats, coffee, and an entree off of the menu. Nothing here could have been nicer, cleaner, or more lovely. 11/10

We stayed at Domus Renier in June and are already planning to return next year. We absolutely loved everything-the rooms, the charming hotel, the location, the amazing breakfast, the views, but especially the way we were treated. ||Maria was delightful, greeting us every morning for our breakfast in the courtyard and making us feel right at home. Ramona and Miss Litsa were charming, helpful and went out of their way to say hello and make recommendations. And we loved the restaurant below the hotel-great food at any time of the day.
