Such good pizza and great homey atmosphere. We got the California pizza, Mediterranean salad, and tiramisu and all were amazing. We’re visiting from out of state and stopped in just off the street for our first meal in NYC and we were not disappointed! Our server Mo was amazing and gave us some great recs for the city. Def recommend!

The ambience is great, lovely music, Shiva our server was friendly and attentive as well. We ordered California pizza and pasta, pasta was great just slightly on the oily side. I wasn’t able to finish my portion as I don’t eat a lot, but overall pleasant experience at the restaurant!

The best fettuccine we had in NYC! It was quickly prepared, perfectly creamy, and really tasty. The sauce was rich and flavorful, complementing the pasta beautifully. We were impressed by both the quality and the speed of the service. Definitely a must-try for pasta lovers!

Food was generally decent, they could accommodate for my vegetarian meal and even remove onion and garlics! The server Shiva was really nice and helped us take photos without us asking for it! The ambience was also really nice with dimly-lit yellow glow and cool paintings! I feel that they could have out more cheese on my pasta to make it really good but besides that, everything was good!

Came across this Italian restaurant and decided to give it a try. They were very accommodating to what I wanted specifically and went above and beyond with their service. It’s a very cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The food was fresh, hot and yum! Will be returning soon

This restaurant had a cute ambiance and we had high hopes for the food. The calamari… just look at the photo. It looks like the Wise onion rings, but wet. It tasted like batter rings with nothing in it. We thought the brick oven pizza would at least be good. But it had no taste. I had to drench it with salt and garlic. Unfortunate.

Small intimate restaurant but the service is great and the food is even better. Started with calamari and garlic knots, both wonderful. Split the arugula salad which was a generous portion but could have used more dressing. The pizza was very good. The chicken Marsala was standard but good. I had the frutti del mare pasta with white sauce instead of red and it was maybe my favorite meal I've ever had in NYC. We got an order of the cannolis to go but they actually were not that good. I would skip those next time but otherwise this was a fantastic meal and I look forward to coming back

A little too pricey for what you're getting. The food isn't horrible, but everything was too heavy. Tasted like butter & cheese without flavor. Above all the service was not great. Took forever to pay at the end. Whenever we asked for something, they took forever to get it. (Would make sense if they were busy, but we could see them just chatting & there were a total of 3 parties at this time). Won't be returned, and probably will be avoiding Italian food for a bit.

Best chicken parm ever! Service was fast and friendly. Started with an old fashioned and bread. The oil and sides were great. Had chicken Parmesan for dinner. Tender, thin, cheesy as wheezy! Spaghetti was good and red sauce was great. Would give 19 stars if I could.

Travels to Italy will always hold a special place in my heart. I can easily count how many times l've been there in the past few years. Dining at Don Giovanni also reminds me of those memories I've shared meals and broke bread with friends and fun people on those trips. On this most recent occasion, there were four of us that were craving pasta. We started with a carafe of red wine and garlic bread which was great, can't really go wrong with this. I highly recommend sharing wine with your meal. Restaurant Week was still in progress, but none of us was interested in what was offered at the time. None of us was wanting any small salad as an appetizer, we just wanted to go straight for the entree. Our go-to was their Handmade Fettuccine, chef's kiss! Three of us ordered the exact same dish, all topped with chicken. Most of the time, the service is great. Our server of the evening was super attentive and kind. Once in a while when you have an off day, it becomes cut and dry. Happens once in a blue moon, but they are still nice. They have a cute outdoor seating area and the inside of the restaurant is super spacious and ambient at nighttime. Gender neutral restrooms available. Very appropriate for Hell's Kitchen.

I would say @dongiovanni_ristorante is pretty on par for what I was expecting of the theatre district. I went in with the expectation that it would be more American style. Overall I'd recommend to go for their pizza as it was a lot better than the pasta in my opinion! The waiters were super kind and the interior decor did remind me of Italy. We had a pleasant time prior to going to a Broadway show!

This place was absolutely the perfect choice after a long day of bopping around Manhattan. The food was phenomenal and the Don Giovanni coffee cocktail was sooooo good! I only wish that they had a gluten free pizza crust option in addition to pasta.

Wow! What a hidden gem! We decided to come check outhis place with some friends. It was a true taste of Italy! For appetizers we had bruschetta, burratta and the mussels, which were large portions. Then we had a salad and pizza. The only thing that beat the food was the service! Chris was amazing and so attentive to our table.

Located in the heart of Hell's Kitchen, I walked in to this Italian spot on a rainy Sunday evening and was seated immediately. The menu features a variety of items from sandwiches to pastas to entrees. I personally ordered the penne de Medici, which came with a hearty serving of pasta topped with chicken and a pink sauce. They also gave us Parmesan to add on top. Overall the food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either - good bang for your buck though.

Don Giovanni never disappoints. Food is always delicious and reasonably priced. The homemade fettuccine with mushrooms and cream sauce is outstanding! We will be back.

I came here the other day for some pizza and it did not disappoint. The pizza was delicious - I'd definitely recommend the one with the fig spread. We also got the sangria which was very flavorful. The restaurant was also very cute and cozy. I would come back!

We were in town with My daughter's theatre group on a school trip. The tour we were with had this restaurant as our first dinner of the trip. I loved how well organized everything was. We started with salads and then pizza to share. Then we all ended with cannoli. It was all very delicious.

service was horrendous. the waiter never came back to the table, we had to go find him every time we needed him, even to order, or get water. The food was great ! we live in NYC and dine out a lot. we were meeting out of state friends after they went to the theatre. we love the chelsea location. we won't come back here in midtown, or recommend it.

I walk by this restaurant every day. Late night the RATS run around on Don Giovanni's outdoor dining shed. To be honest, I don't even see them using it to seat customers. They use it to store random tables, chairs, and other restaurant equipment. Having said that I see HOMELESS PEOPLE RELIEVE THEMSELVES on the shed (and I already mentioned the rat infestation). So I can only imagine what goes on inside the restaurant storage. I WOULD NEVER EAT, LET ALONE SIT, AT THIS UNSANITARY RESTAURANT.

Sometimes can be iffy depending on whether or not it is crowded. Thankfully we hit it at a good time even though it was before the theater. Food never disappoints.

My family ate here and it was seriously the best Italian food we have ever had! We've been to Italy and I have to say this food is very comparable and absolutely delicious! It is family owned as well! We had the cheese ravioli with mozzarella, pasta carbonara, pepperoni pizza, and tiramisu. We also had the BEST Sangrita! 5 stars for sure!

Highly recommend this place. Grateful people there, no rush, friendly for kids. Appreciated for service after all

Wonderful atmosphere our waiter was very friendly and great recommendations. Their tiramisu is perfect light and the best blend of flavors. Cannot say enough about this great restaurant. You must try it.

Went 10/3 and called ahead.... They weren't open yet but were sweet as can be. The atmosphere was small and inviting.The waiter was fantastic. All 4 of us in our party agreed the salad and pizza was the best we've ever had and we have all travelled extensively. Next time we visit NYC we will definitely stop again.

This is the best Italian restaurant in NYC and my favorite place to go before a show! Every one of my many meals at Don Giovanni on 44th Street has been superb. Tuesday night was no exception - bruschetta...perfect - angel hair with garlic and oil...perfect - breaded chicken cutlet on top...perfect. The staff is amazing and I'm home when I'm in there. Check it out at 9th Ave and 44th Street! VM

Very good. Large pizzas. We got 4 cheese and margarita. I would come again. Server was nice. Fast service. I liked the location and inside as well. Good price.

The food is really wonderful here. I had the lobster ravioli the first time I came, which was very average, but this last time I had the penne in vodka sauce and linguine pesto and both were AMAZING! The service leaves a little something to be desired. It's always very busy and I don't think they have enough staff. Waiter never refilled our waters and it took a while to get the check. The decor and vibe are really fun and authentic feeling. The ceilings are so cool as well.

I had the gnocchi and cheese pizza here. Both were pretty middle of the road. The location makes it convenient to head to before a Broadway show, but there are better choices in neighboring Hell's Kitchen for Italian food.

Had dinner with friends at Don Giovani's.. I was visiting from Florida and the vibe was everything!! The restaurant had a buzz it was super busy and and the service was exceptional!! We didn't wait long for our food the servers went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed! The food was amazing! Had a delicious Salad, pizza and the pesto pasta I am still craving that pasta! Ask for the owners Limoncello Martin DELICIOUS!! Best Italian food I have had in a long time!! Can't wait to go back!!

This restaurant is One of my favorite places in the area. Great variety of savory Italian food. The soups are excellent Service is good. Pleasant staff and prices are reasonable. Convenient to Theater district. Opens at 5 PM. outside dining avail when weather permits.

I was at this restaurant yesterday. The pizza was mediocre but ok to eat. But ...DON'T order cocktails! I ordered a mojito. They brought me a glass with seltzer, ice, and 3 leaves of mint. I sent it back and settled for water. The waiter asked me what was wrong with it! Funny.

We went for dinner Sunday night with our three young kids. They sat us right away. Food came out quick. Kids loved the Alfredo, my husband and I shared the carbonara which was amazing. Garlic knots for an app and chicken soup also a win. Nice and quick and friendly for kids.

We decided to try this restaurant while walking around the city and we all wanted Italian food. We went to the Times Square location. We were greeted immediately upon entering. The restaurant was pretty full, there was one large party. They had live music too, a bit load at times, but a lot of fun. It's a very casual place. The menu had the typical Italian pastas and pizza. We all had pasta, I had the rigatoni special with eggplant that was very good. One of my friends had the papardelle, it was delicious! Glad we stopped in!

I thought food was delicious, prices were extremely reasonable for nyc and staff was super nice and efficient. Sat us immediately with no reservation. Only complaint is that they don't warm their bread but definitely an easy fix!

Ross was an excellent server. attentive and so pleasant. I ordered the cheese tortellini and it was by far the best pasta I have ever had. my plate was still steaming when I couldn't eat anymore. You will definitely get great value and the tastiest food. Thank you Ross for a wonderful dining experience

Ordered a pizza and the chicken parm. Both were delicious but the pizza, fired in their brick oven, was amazing. Topped off with refreshing limoncello! Service was very good, ambience was very rustic Italian-American. I really enjoyed Don Giovanni's!

Nothing like waking the streets of NY & being welcomed with a warm gesture. Subhangi greeted me I sat outside & enjoyed a bottle of white Chardonnay along with calamari, garlic knots for the win ( real fresh garlic ). It got super windy outside & she came and asked if we would like to be moved we went inside & it was so neat to experience inside and outside. Inside was so cute, warm & cozy. I felt like I was in Italy the music the ambiance. It started to get very busy but that didn't stop Subhangi from visiting my table to check in on us. I ordered the carbonara ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. My friend ordered the pesto & shrimp & so GOOD too. We had a couple aperol spritz & ended the evening with Peroni my fav Italian beer. I unfortunately don't live in the area but when I come back I'm going here the food 15/10 Service 20/10 The restaurant it's self just a good vibe. Stopped by at this location on the way to Times Square. I have had it before at their Chelsea Location. I was totally a fan of their Homemade Tiramisu. I liked the outdoor setup , we got the table in the corner with the umbrella. Our server (Roi) was quick to bring us menus and make us comfortable. We ordered a few apps , all were delicious. Waiting a few, and then had the food out. Worked out perfectly,but we were so full from the Apps that we had to make a to-go bag. Still had room for the amazing Homemade Tiramisu. Enjoyed every bite !! Ambiance- 10/10 Based of Outdoor Seating Service - 10/10 Parking - Street

The homemade fettuccine with Alfredo sauce was delicious the sauce was freshly made and one order was enough for 2 of us. The Cesar salad had homemade dressing and also big enough for 2. All within a reasonable price. I'm Italian and I highly recommend eating here

A group of 31 came to dine in, they were very nice and didn't seem agitated that there were so many of us. We got a cheese and pepperoni pizza and it was amazing!! The cheese was so stringy and delicious and they even have cannolis!! The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star review is it is a little pricey, me being from missouri. Our waiters name was "Shiva"

We stopped here while heading back to our hotel on a Sunday night, it was a quiet little place. We were seated fast and the food came out quickly as well. I got the handmade fettuccini, it was in a mushroom cream sauce that was delicious. We all enjoyed this authentic Italian meal, so glad we decided to stop here. It also is a historic place where a lot of comedians had their starts, so that was cool as well.

Wow! Hidden gem! So so glad we decided to stop here. Crazy because we were disappointed from our dinner we just had so we stopped here in hopes of delicious food.... well let's just say I was left fully satisfied! Hands down one of the best pizzas I've had in NY and let's not forget the espresso martini (dangerously good). A little "hole in the wall" in the best way! We will be back for some pasta!

We love the food and atmosphere here! Sometimes the service is lacking depending on the server you get, but the food makes up for it!

After a Broadway show we stopped in for some Pizza not knowing what to expect. . They did not disappoint! !

This is my favorite stop pre- or post-Broadway Show! All of my guests who have ever come with me have loved it as well! All of the food is excellent, I've come often enough to have gotten different items on the menu! My favorite is by far the penne vodka, and it is some of the best penne vodka I have ever had in my life (second only to the other location closer to the High Line). One thing to note is that they do not take reservations, but I have never had a problem getting seated in my four years of dining with Don Giovannis! I recently came during happy hour with my boyfriend for his birthday, and it only gets better! They have tons of delicious and unique cocktails minus the NYC prices! My favorite is the sangrita (Margarita/Sangria) and their pitcher of house white wine! We are sure going to be regulars after work now that we will constantly be in the area!
