Don Mueang International Airport

I like how chill amd relaxed the vibe is at Don Mueang. Despite the number of people going through it it didnt feel cramped nor did it have that stressful rush that most big airports have but it still provides the modern comfort and convenience expected from any big airport. Checking in and dropping our bags was easy, all the staff who assisted us were extremely friendly and easy to interact with. While there were only a few open stores at the predeparture area there were more to choose from near the boarding gates however this becomes fewer again as you go further to the end. I just wish it was more spreadout. The same can be said with the vibe of the terminal. From tje central area including the checkin counters, most of the area feel modern but as you move to the boarding gates the dated look and feel of the terminal becomes more prominent. Despite that, there is plenty of seating for passengers and it still feels comfortable. Great experience going through Don Mueang, very easy to get through and has everything you need.

I was amazed with the international departure terminal as I read that this is an old airport. It has a number of restaurants and fast food before the passport control and same after. Interior is simple but the airport is very neat and has what you need like shops, restaurants, vending machines, lots of charging stations, currency exchange and lounge. The arrival area is also the same, quite simple and I like it's not too big so you don't need to walk to far just to get to passport control.

A well-organized, clean and easily accessible airport. It is a relatively large airport, but checking in and dropping luggage was quick and easy. There are several shops, restaurants, and a pharmacy where you can buy almost anything. The airport is easy to navigate, and the signs are very clear. On our flight date (mid-August), the airport was relatively calm and not crowded, so we were able to check in and pass through security with ease.

The airport building appears quite old and outdated, lacking the modern design and facilities expected from a contemporary international airport. The infrastructure shows signs of wear, with limited seating, older signage, and basic amenities. The overall environment feels more functional than welcoming. Lighting is dim in some areas, and the air conditioning may not be sufficient during busy hours. Restrooms and waiting areas could benefit from renovations. While the staff is helpful, the airport would greatly improve with upgrades to technology, layout, and passenger comfort. A renovation would enhance both the travel experience and the airport’s overall image.

My first time departure and arrive in DMK, for international and domestic flight. Not big airport, a lil bit hard to go there from Ratchacewi area, prefer took taxi, but when i came to BKK only with cabin bag, i used bus and yeah..it hard if u bring big luggage. The imigration area was fast, faster than Svarnabhumi. Cant find luggage scale here.

Good airport. Pretty easy to come using a red line and train from Bangkok city. Wasn’t overcrowded when we came in the morning, but people don’t work too fast so come at least 2h before the flight. There are drinking fountains here with free water. So take your reusable bottle. There mare zone with charging for phones. But slots with usb didn’t work, only typical EU socket
