I had a pleasant experience at Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok. The airport is very spacious and beautiful. The transit procedures were fast and efficient. The airport staff were very kind and helpful. Thai mango sticky rice was absolutely wonderful. Thanks to this airport and Air Asia so much

Don Mueang International Airport: A Sparkling Gateway That Exceeded Expectations! Stepping into Don Mueang International Airport (DMK), I was genuinely amazed by how beautiful this place is! Often, older airports can feel tired, but DMK has clearly undergone a brilliant transformation. The entire place feels so bright, clean, and modern the moment you walk in, immediately giving off a fantastic first impression that truly elevates the travel experience. The design and planning deserve major kudos because the airport is super spacious. Even during busy hours with a seemingly large number of people around, it never feels crowded. This generous layout makes navigating through check-in, security, and gates a much smoother and less stressful experience—a rare luxury in major international hubs. Beyond the main halls, the attention to passenger comfort is evident. The lounges and seating areas are really comfortable and strategically placed, managing to give off a surprisingly luxurious vibe despite being in a public space. DMK manages to blend functionality with aesthetic appeal, making the waiting time enjoyable. It truly is a sparkling, well-maintained gateway that serves as a fantastic introduction (or farewell) to Thailand!

From the moment we landed at Don Mueang International Airport, it left a great first impression! The airport is clean, well organized, and welcoming, making both arrival and departure a smooth experience. When we arrived, everything felt efficient from immigration to baggage claim, the signage was clear, and the staff were helpful and friendly. It made settling into Bangkok so easy and stress free. And as we headed back home, the airport was just as pleasant. Navigating to our departure gate, checking in, and boarding our flight was seamless. Having the same modern, organized, and welcoming vibe for both our arrival and departure really made the start and end of our Bangkok trip comfortable and memorable. 🇹🇭✨

I like how chill amd relaxed the vibe is at Don Mueang. Despite the number of people going through it it didnt feel cramped nor did it have that stressful rush that most big airports have but it still provides the modern comfort and convenience expected from any big airport. Checking in and dropping our bags was easy, all the staff who assisted us were extremely friendly and easy to interact with. While there were only a few open stores at the predeparture area there were more to choose from near the boarding gates however this becomes fewer again as you go further to the end. I just wish it was more spreadout. The same can be said with the vibe of the terminal. From tje central area including the checkin counters, most of the area feel modern but as you move to the boarding gates the dated look and feel of the terminal becomes more prominent. Despite that, there is plenty of seating for passengers and it still feels comfortable. Great experience going through Don Mueang, very easy to get through and has everything you need.

I was honestly amazed by how beautiful Don Mueang Airport is! The place feels so bright, clean, and modern the moment you walk in. It’s super spacious, so even with a lot of people around, it never feels crowded. The lounges and seating areas are really comfortable and give off a luxurious vibe. I also loved how well-organized everything is — from check-in to boarding, it’s smooth and hassle-free. Overall, it’s one of the most elegant and pleasant airports I’ve been to. Great work by thai government

Terminal 2 on the south side serves domestic departures and arrivals, while Terminal 1 on the north side serves international departures and arrivals. A short corridor connects them, fully lined with seats and ample rest areas. The international departure area has a larger customs area, making it quite crowded. There are many public transportation options to and from the city. The air-conditioned Red Line subway and the non-air-conditioned windowed train are located on the south-most west side of the airport. To get there from Terminal 1 International, you need to go through Terminal 2 Domestic, a 600-700-meter walk. The airport shuttle bus stops outside the International Departures level of Terminal 1, located on the north-most west side of the airport, along the curb. Fares range from 30 to 50 baht, and the elevated express bus is a quick way to get there. 🎬2025.10

The decision to take Don Mueang International Airport as port of entry was based on the need to connect to a domestic flight to Roi-Et Airport, a much smaller facility in Northern Thailand. This was a good opportunity to get to know this facility, which did not disappoint, despite being the older of the two Bangkok airports. It's clean, secure, and well appointed. There's a charging point at the seating area for international flights (it could use maybe 1-2 more); a 24-Hour food court in the public area of Level 4; plus other takeaway and coffee shops dotting the entire facility. Toilets are very well kept, and the robot floor cleaners are very efficient, I saw several of them at the different times of the day I passed through DMK airport. After the trip to Roi-Et, I needed a few more days in Bangkok for meetings and stayed near DMK Airport. So everyday I used the SRT Red Line to get to Bangkok city centre and had brunch at Magic Garden food court (L4). On my last day I just stopped by Magic Food Park which is on the way from DMK train station to DMK Airport by foot and open until 21:30.

Don Mueang International Airport offers a smooth and efficient travel experience. Immigration is fast, and the terminal is clean, organized, and not too large making it easy to navigate. The facilities are well-maintained and got free drinking water!!, giving a comfortable impression from arrival to departure. For a cheap and quick trip to the city, you can take the A1 or A2 airport bus at the end of terminal, which connects directly to Mo Chit BTS Station and the MRT system. A super convenient and traveler-friendly airport overall!
