I made reservations for 4 and was very glad I did since it was Cinco de Mayo. They were VERY busy and there was a line waiting at the door. While we didn't have to wait for a table we did have to wait and wait for a server after I finally asked if we even had a server. The manager then stepped in and they more than made up for their snafu. We ordered beer and margaritas, which were large and tasty. The complimentary chips, salsa and bean dip were excellent, fresh and housemade. The bean dip was especially good! Next, we ordered Camarones Diabla and Steak and Shrimp combo Fajitas, fabulous! Very large portions, lots of jumbo shrimp. Parking lot was quite full, but still spots available. I took a jacket in and wore it as the restaurant was on the cool side. Great place for families, groups and yet couples could find privacy in a booth. We'll definitely come back!

Google
Cute little restaurant. Fajita seasoning wasn’t my favorite. Still relatively good.

Google
Nice way to end the day, margarita with chips and salsa, followed by Chili Verde and rice. 😋 Don Pedro's is on my repeat list.

Google
Good service. The food was adequate. I ordered a seafood burrito and I can't understand why they would add carrot chunks to it. It must be a Vernal thing. Other than that, I had a good experience.

Google
Always good food. Today was fantastic. I ordered the fiesta platter which feeds my whole family. It has a few of each of the popular items off the menu. It also comes with chips, salsa, and bean dip. All of which are delicious alone. They also have had pretty good service as of late! The restaurant is very clean and inviting in a southwest/Mexican way. Great for families.

Google
Although the restaurant was very busy we were quickly seated. The service was timely and courteous. The food was plentiful and good. The free chips come with a salsa and a cheese/bean dip. It's not anything new to the Mexican genre but it is very good.

Google
The food is good. The service is decent. I've not been disappointed on either of those fronts. However, if you have food allergies, don't gamble your life here. Our most recent trip here, my mother very clearly informed our waiter that she is deathly allergic to shell fish. She was informed that the food would be prepared entirely separately. Well, 5 minutes into her meal we had to leave as her face and throat were swelling up. Bottom line is they're incapable of delivering a safe experience where food allergies are concerned. The food isn't bad and neither is the service, by most metrics.

Google
This was a meal worth the money and the drive. We took family out to eat. They wanted Mexican but we didn't want the same old cafe Rio. So after asking around we were directed to Don Pedro. We worried they wouldn't be open since it was Labor Day. But they were open and we weren't disappointed. Great food. Good service.

Yelp
Good food large portions prices are tourist prices versus local prices. Really enjoy our chicken chimichanga with cream sauce..special of the day. Husband got taco and enchilada. Homemade salsa is good along with bean dip and chips. Can accommodate large parties. Handicap friendly

Yelp
Great Mexican food when in Vernal. Love the salsa and hot bean dip with fresh chips. Beef Tacos, Carne Asada plate are good.

Hannah H.

Yelp
Food was good. Grilled chicken has almost a Cajun spice to it- very good. Their salsa is homemade, pico de gallo type. Chips are also good. Where they weren't so good is the service. They only had 3 people working there and as a result their service was slow. We weren't checked in on hardly at all during our meal and the hostess ended up getting several things for us. They also messed up our check and couldn't get it fixed in the computer so they ended up refunding me the difference in cash. FYI a side of sour cream is $2.50. A little high if you ask me.

Yelp
Walked in for lunch, employees were laying in booths. Sat at our table for 15 minutes with no service at all. Let $5 for a tip and went somewhere else. If I could give zero stars I would.

Yelp
A true gem! Why can't more places like this exist?! Chips, salsa, and especially excellent bean dip! We ordered the combo chicken and steak fajitas which came with a really special glaze. On the side was rice, beans, guacamole, pico, cheese, and sour cream. This was a single plate, more than enough to feed two! We thought it might be closed (the sign was off). I'm glad it wasnt. Worth the detour if you are just passing through Vernal! Service was also great! 5 stars! Will be back again!

Yelp
The tortilla soup is FANTASTIC. My son loves the beans served with chips and salsa. The service is hit and miss. I don't mind waiting to be seated, but I'd at least like a flash of eye contact, or a "we will be with you in a minute." The last time we were there the staff ignored us. We waited a long time to even be acknowledged. When seated, we were purposely ignored. I can spend my Mexican food money at Plaza Mexicana where they treat us like we matter.

Yelp
We tried to eat at this place three times this week. This week we showed up at 9 o'clock the first night and were turned away because they closed early to have the carpet cleaned. I confirmed with the person at the hostess stand that they would be open the next night. We came a little before nine the next night and were told that they closed early because they were slow! On the third night we called ahead to make sure that they would be open when we got off the lake and were again told that if it was slow they were going to close early! If you're going to close at 8:30 then put that on your door! If your door says you're open until 10, then stay open until 10 even if you're slow!

Yelp
While in Vernal I had lunch at Don Pedro's with a friend. Very attentive service. Chips, salsa and bean dip are served immediately when seated. Large menu offered many choices. I ordered the chili relleno/cheese enchilada combo and it was very good. The relleno was light and cooked perfectly. I was originally going to order the tamale but, apparently, it is not prepared on the premises, and I overheard another patron did not like it. My friend ordered the seafood chimichanga. I didn't taste it but she liked it and it looked really good - stuffed full with goodies. I didn't smell anything fishy. I'm not familiar with Utah and I ordered a drink at about 11:30am, and alcohol isn't served before Noon. Us whacky Californians!

Yelp
Honestly this place is bomb. I've never had anything here that I don't like. It's not the fastest place out there, but what do you expect from a sit down restaurant??! Awesome environment, great food, a definite success!

Ann P.

Yelp
Came in from out of town and took our kids and grandkids to dinner here. It was awful. The food either lacked flavor or tasted so processed it could hardly be called food. Several of us had stomach issues from eating there. The service was mostly subpar and it was pricy to boot. Spent way too much for something so awful. We should have gone anywhere else. Even fast food would have been better! Very disappointed.

Marty H.

Yelp
Sorry folks but your open! and you don't answer Your phone during business hours REALLY?

Paul R.

Yelp
The food is great but the service borders on inept. LOOOOONG waits for our food to arrive and when we were done we had to ask three times for our check. That said, the fajitas were absolutely delicious. Bad service ruins good food, though.

Ray W.

Yelp
This place has really gone down hill!!! The food is as bland as the people that work there, thankfully they have a liquor license so I could wash the god awful food down with a cold beer! I wish I had four hands so I could give this place four thumbs down

Jerry G.

Yelp
Good, pedestrian Mexican food. Good; NOT special. For authentic (you won't get fancy ambiance here - just great food) Mexican go to Tacos "El Gordo" downtown. It's where "La Raza" eat at , and it's excellent fo LUNCH, closed at dinner.

Nikki L.

Yelp
Terrible service. The waitresses are very unfriendly and don't go out of their way to serve you. They act like its a burden to do their job.

TheHooba37 ..

Yelp
Service was absolutely terrible, our waitress had an attitude from the second we walked in. I have never left a restaurant before putting an order in nor have I ever left a yelp review but the service here was so terrible it warranted 2 firsts for me

Christy S.

Yelp
It is not closed!!!! I am eating here now. So yummy. Chips and salsa were waiting for us when we walked in. Also comes with bean dip. Love the fajitas and the fajita salad. I'm so happy I kept coming to see if it was open or not.

J K.

Yelp
The food here is good. The fajitas are especially good. HOWEVER, the food all came out at different times. One meal came with the check, about 20 mins late. The other food was not very hot. The wait staff was good to remove the meals from our ticket but the kitchen appears to be having some issues.

Joy B.

Yelp
Meh. Unfortunately this restaurant isnt very good and a lot of their dishes are only so-so. The beans taste like they come from a can. Pick another Mexican restaurant or keep on going up the road to Red canyon lodge.

Eugene H.

Yelp
We just couldn't wait to eat, the food was pretty good. Carne Asada is good, some of the other items okay. We were eager for some margaritas. However what we got was quite disappointing! We've tasted some artificial flavored margaritas before, but these.... Well a few of us were able to get half of it down, but one in our group just couldn't get past that first sip.... We won't be coming back soon unless we're desperate for carne asada!

Stacy S.

Yelp
August 2013 - First time here and our last. My wife had the Tortilla Soup which was bland, no seasoning, big wad of tasteless melted cheese, some sort of processed chicken product. She could only consume about 1/3 of it. I had the Taco Salad which was OK. It did have shredded chicken and salsa. There was no type of southwestern dressing for my salad and I had to choose between bottled Ranch, Thousand Island or Italian dressing. Not all bad, the service was fast and friendly. The chips and salsa were great.

Yelp
Decent Tex-Mex just north of Vernal. Quick service and excellent bean dip. Suggest hitting this place up coming back into Vernal from working in the woods or just for lunch.

Nicholas C.

Yelp
Decent place to get some mexican. Considering the location of course.

Marcella D.

Yelp
Love love the chili releno here. It the best Ive ever had. The atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is friendly. My family comes here when we want to enjoy a good mexican dish.

Annie G.

Yelp
Salsa was really good as well bean dip

Brian W.

Yelp
Love this place. I eat here a lot everything I have tried so far is good. Free chips and salsa are fresh

Rog W.

Yelp
The best Mexican restaurant in vernal ! Excellent food great service reasonable prices. See ya soon

Tami B.

Yelp
Love their taquitos rancheros, and bean and salsa dips. Excellent service and reasonable prices. Not a fan of the soup but other food is great! We come here often and highly recommend it.

Seandara D.

Yelp
Great salsa and bean dip to start out. When dinner is served, I hope you're hungry! Good food and good service. The only problem there might be is if you hit them at a busy time, the line can be out the door.

Jess F.

Yelp
I love Don Pedros..pretty much the only place that has atmosphere in vernal..my boyfriend and I always get the special, carne asada with garlic shrimp tacos, its pretty awesome

Scott C.

Yelp
A bit off the beaten US40 bit a great place for chips, salsa and American Mexican food.

R T.

Yelp
Fantastic Mexican food with impeccable service. We shared the steak fajitas. The salsa and chips were delicious.
